What a great, character-filled stay in Melrose. We were going to camp but it was looking a bit hot for early November so we found this place. The kids couldn't believe their luck! comfy beds, very clean, the aircon in the upstairs loft sleeping area came in handy in the late afternoons. Right near a cute park where we cooked a bbq for dinner. Very basic kitchenette as advertised. Wonderful creaky old barn. We will definitely be back. thanks Alan.

The place is located in a quiet suburb. We had a great time with kids and enjoyed the pool. The house has everything you need during holidays, I would highlight comfortable beds in all bedrooms. Communication was great. Would highly recommended this place.

This piece of serenity was amazing. It is peaceful, quiet and beautiful. It was perfect for a romantic getaway for two. Even I’d go there for a peaceful weekend on my own. Waking up every morning with a view from bed of the ocean with amazing coffee. Margy is amazing offers muffins and is always happy to help in anyway she can. We will be back. The closes shops are Whyalla so be sure you take plenty of food, drinks and extra car fridge or esky with ice for drinks. The place supplies a fridge but you may require more space for your drinks.

The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. welcoming and relaxing. The host was fantastic—super responsive and always willing to help whenever needed. From the moment I booked, they made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. Their hospitality truly made a difference! And the oysters—wow! Absolutely delicious and a highlight of the trip. If you’re a seafood lover, you’re in for a treat! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay with a wonderful host.

lovely place to stay, had everything we needed for a few nights stay. comfy lounge, smart tv with netflix, nice chilli air conditioning. close to everything in Melrose. well equipped kitchen.

Stayed 2 nights over New Years. Nice place, super relaxing atmosphere. We had 3 couples, worked perfectly for all of us even with the one toilet. Nice brewery only a few minute walk away to chill out, have a beverage and pizza.

We were extremely happy with our stay in Melrose. The house was perfect for our 2 days. The rumpus room was amazing, almost like a home theatre room. It was quite hot during our stay at Melrose and the air conditioning worked really well along with fans supplied in each bedroom. The house was spotless and with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry. It was so lovely to receive chocolates and a bottle of red wine on arrival. Along with incidentals provided both in the fridge and pantry. A great place to stay. Thank you!

I liked the floorplan of the house, everything was laid out nicely and well prepped. The location is at one of the quietest and most peaceful neighbourhood around Port Pirie.

Idyllic and unique setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. Amazing to experience being in such a remote spot surrounded by amazing views and wildlife. Would throughly recommend.
