We can’t say enough about how fantastic and perfect this spot was. Squeaky clean, extremely well-appointed (wash & dryer!!), fast Wi-Fi, super close to the Tongariro Crossing shuttle point, quick drive to the national park’s visitors center and trailheads, etc. Just a perfect place to stay for 3 nights in Tongariro, don’t hesitate to book it!

We had a fantastic 2-night stay as a base to do the Tongariro Crossing. A well equipped property with wonderful views of Lake Taupo. Would recommend!

A lovely, peaceful place to stay with a wonderful garden and river views. Only a few minutes easy drive to the town centre where there were lots of eateries. The bed was very comfortable in this very large room with a massive smart TV to watch.

Place was wonderful and easy to find. Really great Basecamp for doing Tongariro walks, and the powderkeg is 10/10! Thanks Paulette

Alison and Ron were so kind and friendly. The space was very comfortable, especially the beds. Nice little bathrooms attached to each room as well!

The Station is a really unique bnb with stylish interiors and exteriors, comfortable beds and generously stocked staples. Brian was really helpful and responded quickly, when we needed it! Highly recommend!

This house was brand new and so well equipped with everything you need and more. Beds were comfy, beautiful furniture and the views were amazing from the spa. great location down a quite road. it was about a 45 minute drive to do the Tongariro crossing. bit right next to all the great spots in Ohekune. We would love to stay here again. thanks for having us Gerald!

Firstly , thank you for the fantastic communications and being able to change our booking dates at such late notice. We had an absolute ball , thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Whanganui. The house suited our needs perfectly, it was peaceful, comfortable and met all of our requirements. We slept like babies in a very comfortable bed. We would definitely recommend this lovely property . It will be a pleasure to stay here in the future , we highly recommend. Thank you.

Whanganui top place to stay. Our whole family - 3 couples and 4 children stayed her for a long weekend - excellent space. The 2 wings upstairs and bedroom/ensuite downstairs was perfect. Loads of space and little areas so everyone was able to find somewhere to be together or on their own. Great kitchen that was really amazing in terms of providing everything you'd need - like your own home. Laundry, bathrooms excellent. Close to large park , a superette & takeaways a few mins walk. Great communication and easy check in. Would thoroughly recommend this place for a larger family or frineds group.

We had a lovely stay with two couples and a child. it was cosy and the kitchen had everything we needed. there were good heating appliances too and the photos matched the description well. it was good value and would happily recommend to others. thanks Deborah!

The accommodation was amazing for a large group. House has an awesome lay out, super spacious living area and kitchen, comfy beds, and warm and toastie. Bridget’s communication was great at all times, highly recommend to stay here!

We had an amazing time at Nicholas' place. Great place to stay if you are going to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Nicholas is very responsive to my messages and was flexible with our check-in time since we arrived late in the evening. Highly recommended! ☺️

This house was a real stand out for us in our Airbnb experience. The hosts were considerate and excellent communicators. The welcome offerings were so thoughtful and added an extra touch to the comfortable and elegant atmosphere. We loved the interesting history of this house which has been both a business and family home for 100 years.
