Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Westport

This is truly the best place we’ve ever stayed! The home is filled with charming antique decorations that give it a warm, welcoming feel—so much more personal and cozy than a typical rental. The farm is a hidden gem, tucked away in a peaceful spot yet conveniently located. We absolutely loved spending time with the animals and had so much fun feeding the sheep and Laura the pig. The hosts were incredibly kind and a pleasure to talk to, making our stay even more special. We can’t recommend this place enough!

The house has a wonderful ambience and the most stunning views. The pub at the end of the road has great meals and added to our great stay at Ray’s. We look forward to staying again and definitely for longer next visit.

There's a reason this place has 600 reviews for a 4.99 rating, it is such an amazing spot out in the country to relax, yet only a short drive to adventures & needs in the Hokitika area. This private & peaceful home is just the definition of cozy. Deborah has thought of anything & everything you might need for a great stay. We only booked two nights, but would have been happy to stay much longer.

Amazing views over the golden bay in their outside bath. Furthermore the communication was good. Challenging route to get to the accommodation, but was all worth it!

The cottage was bigger than we expected, 2 lovely big bedrooms and a spacious lounge, dining room, kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked and there was a washing machine. There was a big selection of DVDs. Also private parking. We had a great walk to see the fur seals. We could only stay one night but would definitely recommend a longer stay.

A Truly Special Stay We booked a full week and were absolutely enjoined the experience. The kayaks were excellent, and everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. The lake and its stunning surroundings made for a picture-perfect getaway. Grant and Fran have created a place rich with history, clearly putting immense effort and care into every detail. One of the highlights of our stay was a guided tour of the goldmine with Grant. His storytelling was truly inspiring and added so much depth to the experience. We can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay. Thank you, Grant and Fran, for sharing this incredible place with us!

Really enjoyed our stay in Angie’s house. Views over the sea are amazing. The location is great, where you feel tucked amongst the Bush listening to the birdsong. Lovely sitting on the decking with a glass of wine relaxing after a day out exploring the area. A special peaceful location.

We came to Greymouth for a family wedding and we had a mixed group of us that needed a place to stay. I jumped online and Linda’s place showed up and it was perfect! We had 2 couples (one with a baby) and one individual family member. Linda’s house couldn’t have suited us more! It was incredibly clean and tidy and was really centrally located for what we needed. The area was nice and quiet which was perfect because we had a 7m old baby with us. Linda sent through great communication and gave us some recommendations if we needed them. Was really fantastic and made our weekend away a very great experience 😊

What an interesting place Hokitika is. Perfect beachfront house for the stay. Within walking distance to the shops and a short stroll to the rough ocean beach. Highly recommend the this place for that west coast experience.
