Houseboat holiday rentals in Westeinderplassen

Fantastic spot and perfect for our business meeting. Quiet, private and clean! Would 100% book again!!

There were four of us on Jan's houseboat. The boat is in a quiet area, close to the Olympic center. Just outside, to the center of Amsterdam by metro about 20 minutes. The houseboat was cozy and clean, Jan personally greeted us on the first day and the contact was very nice. There are 4 bicycles available, but we did not use them as the Dutch have too fast a driving style...🫣 we had 4 great days in Amsterdam and on the houseboat.

Kay and Santiago were extremely helpful and hospitable, they were highly responsive and very accomodating when we asked about leaving our baggage at the property + checking out late. The houseboat is in a lovely location, close to public transport but also easily walkable to different suburbs and surrounding areas. It is exactly as listed, easily accessible and comfortable for 4 people to stay in. Santiago was kind enough to send a very helpful list of recommendations for the city, would definitely recommend and hope to book here again.

This was a great find, warm, homey, clean and comfy! Easy to get to amsterdam from the accommodation. Lots of useful information given to us by the host about things to do close by. Thanks so much, we would definitely come back to this place!

Thoroughly enjoyed staying in Karinas amazing and picturesque boathouse for my 30th birthday with my partner. Karina was especially helpful providing more wood pellets for the amazing fire stove, which made everything warm and cosy just perfectly. The small walk and free ferry that runs every 3 minutes over to centraal made travelling easy. Appreciated that smoking was also allowed on the outside decking of the boathouse. Would love to return in the future for a summer break, as you can swim in the water that runs alongside the boathouse. Jack & Emily.

It was super nice! Unique experience sleeping on a floating house. Tineke welcomed us in a very friendly way and gave us good tips beforehand. From now on, preferably there every weekend.

We spent a family holiday with our two awakening children in Justin's floating house between Christmas and New Year's Eve. It was ideal to have time together in peace. The house is clean and modernly furnished, the heating is wonderfully warm even in winter and you have everything you need. Most of the time we took a trip to Rotterdam, Amsterdam or the sea during the day, which is only 30-45 min. away. In the evening we cooked, played, read or watched a movie in the house. Everything was great, and highly recommend it.

Easy to find. Host speaks only Dutch, but has prepared well with a translation app. The location is very quiet and you can walk to the bus to Amsterdam

Wonderful and unique experience at the houseboat! It was spacious, unique, close to groceries, shops, and restaurants, an easy walk to public transportation and, really, to many sights in Amsterdam. We all (my children especially) fell in love with Pepper the friendly cat. Fern was so easy to work with and super responsive whenever we had a question. We really appreciated the kitchen; it had all the cooking utensils, plates, pots, etc. that we could ask for, as well as some oil, spices, etc. The rest of the boat was comfortable, charming, and modern. A fantastic home base while in Amsterdam.

I really wanted the experience of staying in a canal boat house in Amsterdam and Hanneke’s place did not disappoint. She was very sweet and communicated with us very well. We especially enjoyed the rooftop seating area and the living room area where you felt immersed in the river life. The little ducks who came over when you opened the windows to be fed were adorable! The shower had very nice water pressure and lots of hot water. Hanneke was very responsive anytime I reached out and made us feel very at home in her home. The rental was close to tram stations which made it fairly easy for us to get around the city, once we learned how to do it. Her kitchen was very well stocked and she makes great use of a smaller space.

Fantastic host and house boat! Highly reccomend!

This houseboat was perfect! So stylish and in the utmost perfect location. Walkable from the train station. Grocery store is one block over and the cutest coffee shops (Actual coffee from the bean not the other kind) and pubs. We were there during the Taylor Swift concert and Holland's big soccer match. We slept like babies even with the large crowds. The little seating area facing the water for perfect for morning coffee. Jordann neighborhood is the perfect place to stay!

We returned for a second long stay and it is still wonderful! Great location just far enough out of Centrum to be missing all the tourists but still close enough to easily get in there every day. Liz is a terrific communicator and it is super easy to get in and out. The house boat is very comfortable and well maintained. I hope to return next year!

Beautiful establishment, host is excellent at communication. The boat is based very central and was very clean.

This unique spot was perfect for enjoying the art and food of Amsterdam. 30ish minutes on public transit to basically anything and walking distance to great museums and restaurants. We also enjoyed the neighbors and their recommendations.

We enjoyed the stay at the boat house a lot! The location is beautiful and we loved the views as well as accessibility to the places around. There are assigned co-hosts who are very responsive if you have any questions or issues, big thanks to Philo for helping us with everything and Nina for calling us to check up if everything is great. The boat has everything needed for a stay - comfy beds and sofa, toaster and coffee machine, bean bags to sit and cozy living room. The kitchen might not have enough pans, but overall is good if you prefer to cook on your own. It's not a 100inch TV as it was marked in the description due to typo, but it's pretty good if you want to watch some netflix or youtube at night. There is street parking nearby, which is quite pricey, but hosts can advise on the parking house nearby. We had a lovely stay and would love to come back again!

we had a great time ... only regret is not to have stayed longer

We wanted to treat ourselves to something really nice for the turn of the year and found a wonderful atmospheric place here. On Veras and George's houseboat, you can relax and cook very well - the kitchen is well equipped. The feel-good factor on a houseboat is great anyway, which is even increased by the high-quality cozy furnishings. We really enjoyed the break and felt very welcome from the two of them! Vera's numerous tips on (bicycle)excursions in the area were particularly helpful. We were very happy that despite the half-way weather, we took our bikes with us and were able to explore the beautiful surroundings with the many pretty places.

This property was exactly what we were looking for – a genuine houseboat on an Amsterdam canal, in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to shops and cafes. It didn’t disappoint! The contemporary furniture and fixtures are sleek and comfortable. The canal is a working one, but it’s quiet and we were visited by water birds, including beautiful swans every now and then. The houseboat is conveniently located to bus stops that provided access throughout the city, including a short ride to Central Station. We appreciated the welcome basket of snacks and beverages our host provided, and thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay there.

Very quiet beautiful neighborhood, 30 min drive from Amsterdam by car and 10 min from the Schiphol Airport. Supermarket is about 5 min drive. We’ve been wanting to stay in a boat house for years but too scared to be in central Amsterdam on canal, this house was perfect. Very stylish, clean, and up-to-date and comfortable. Most importantly, Francisco was very attentive and approachable. I might sound naive but the house was no way near to shake despite the strong wind we had on our first night (we had a storm) so in case anyone’s worried, no problem! We’d hear the aircrafts starting 8am and nothing noticeable in the evening. It was so cool to watch the airplanes. There’s a huge window on the stairs and we enjoyed watching the pink sky from sunrise and saying hello to the ducks passing by (at our eye level and so close!) It doesn’t open so not dangerous. It’s a very special house. To enjoy being on the deck, we want to plan to return during the summer!
