Cottage holiday rentals in West Wittering

We booked this little gem as a last minute half term getaway and are so we did - great location for visiting local attractions such as the Wittering, Chichester, and Portsmouth. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped, Wisteria Lodge (and the hot tub…wow!) is a wonderful place to stay. Thank you to Jane and Jeremy.

Cottage was lovely in the middle of the countryside, we did a brilliant walk ending at an excellent pub the mayfly. Property was lovely, well hosted with a welcome package and very responsive hosts. Would return again, we had a lovely weekend.

Helena and her husband Phillip were great hosts! Very thankful for them . The stay was great, they provided a loaf of bread, some bread and butter . Very beautiful home , stars at night from the bed room . Would recommend to anyone! We stayed two nights if booked again I’d stay at least 3 or 4! Thanks again!

Really relaxing, comfortable and peaceful. Superb decking area and private garden area. Lots of places to visit and the setting is lovely. In fact, met all our expectations and more! Really pleasant stay in sumptuous surroundings. Outstanding host!

Neil was a great and flexible host. We based ourselves in the Airbnb over Christmas and he made a special effort to make it feel festive, with a Christmas tree and decorations. On arrival he came to welcome us and show us how the stove and hot tub worked. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable and everything done to a high standard. Directions to the cottage were 100 % easy to follow. Highly recommend.

One of the most gorgeous places we have stayed. Didn’t want the trip to end. Clare’s home is beautiful, the area is so peaceful and everything from the ducks to the deer to the hot tub and place itself are absolutely magical. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore a beautiful area but also ranting to wind down and relax.

Tanya was very communicative. some of our group were arriving from all over, and was always happy to be avaliable for questions. we were celebrating a friends birthday, and so Tanya recommendation great pubs, which we had a good bottomless brunch. Tanya we very kind and generous with our group, also, as on site, happy to show us around the pool amd hot tub. we were made to feel very welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble, even to help show us how to use the oven. very good value for money and we had a great time! t

We had an amazing stay, everything was exactly as in the photos if not better. We loved the log fired hot tub, and the stylish, modern interior. The bed was super comfortable, and all the furnishings were extremely luxurious. Winchester was only 20 mins away by Uber, and we enjoyed a lovely meal at the Ivy on Saturday night. All in all a fabulous weekend.

We booked this beautiful space for my mums 60th Birthday and she loved it. Angel and Sam (apologies if I got his name wrong!) were brilliant hosts. thank you for your hospitality!

Me and my husband had a relaxing stay at Alex's place which was warm, clean and comfortable and stylish decor. It was a short walk to the beach which is beautiful and very much enjoyed by ourselves and our 10month old goldie puppy. Alex had left us tasty snacks as well as a local gin which was much appreciated. We visited a local gastro pub the Seaview which was lively with good food and good service. All in all we had a great relaxing stay. Thanks and best wishes Kathy

A real gem 👌

One of my favourite Airbnbs I've stayed in - such a beautiful little home in an incredibly special setting - deep in the forest. Cosy, clean, tasteful and very peaceful. Louise is an amazing host with so many recommendations and very generous with her communication and help while staying. A really fantastic space which I'll look forward to returning to one day.

The house was in a perfect location in central Arundel which made it very walkable to all parts of the town. The inside of the house was well decorated, well equipped and a perfect size for the four of us plus a baby. Our favorite thing about the house was the sunroom especially when it rained and you could hear the rain hitting the roof. Parking isn’t always available right outside the house, but there are plenty of parking spaces a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Arundel.

Absolutely perfect cottage for us, everything you need for a lovely stay. Warm and cosy for a evening in after spending the day exploring the beautiful local countryside, our first visit to the area and definitely won’t be the last.

Peaceful location, annexe equipped with all necessary amenities, great place to stay and lovely location . Slept well , owners very friendly and responsive.

We wanted a property for our family Christmas. The Crest fitted the bill perfectly - just right for adults, young children, and the dog. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter as we wanted to spend most of our time together in the house. We really appreciated being able to get into The Crest a little before 4pm as we had all travelled quite a distance. Similarly, a 10am departure is quite early with small children and lots of toys to see to, but thankfully we were not rushed out by Jo. We would certainly like to enjoy the garden on a return visit.

The cottage was everything that the description stated. Beautifully presented and well appointed. Access was very simple and easy. The owners had left a lovely note of welcome which was much appreciated. For anyone wishing to attend any of the Goodwood events during the year this cottage is perfectly located for each access to the estate. We would have no hesitation in using this property in the future if we plan more visits to Goodwood.

Richard and Gaye were incredible hosts, they were so helpful, even picking us up from the station and taking us to a supermarket to get bits (although the cottage was stocked with delicious homemade treats for us, which we appreciated greatly!). They both were helpful, friendly and there to help without being at all intrusive. The cottage was beautiful, so cosy and spacious and the perfect place to wind down for half term. We enjoyed the perfect valentines weekend, thanks to Richard and Gaye! We 100% want to return in the summer. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Great quirky 2 bed right in the heart of Arundel. As a young family of three we very much wanted a place with the bedrooms on the same floor and this hit the mark. We’ve stayed in several airbnbs over the years in Arundel and they pretty much all have steep stairs, as this one did, which is no exception. Mark actually lives here part time so this place feels the way airbnbs used to: full of homey items, a fully stocked spice rack, cooking utensils etc (so many places don’t even leave you with salt these days). Added bonus were all the children’s toys and books accessible if desired- very much our case. The apartment is in a cute cottage on a public parking lot and at the back of a pub I think, so although there is definitely some daytime commotion, it is surprisingly quiet at night. Thank you mark- the welcome chocolates were promptly enjoyed and we will certainly be back!

We had lovely time this July in Bembridge. Fintray Cottage was close to the beach and also close to Bembridge village centre. We thoroughly enjoyed the big garden it came with. The house has a large kitchen, ideal for a big family or for the occasion of entertaining guests. Will definitely recommend.

We stayed for a few weeks through Christmas and January with our dogs, the cottage was very comfortable and warm. The cottage was well equipped and great area for the dogs to explore. Walking distance to local grocery store. Short drive to West Wittering beach and great pubs. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay here at anytime of the year!

We had a lovely stay - lovely house, very comfortable and easy to live in - home away from home! It would have been nice if we could have checked in earlier (4pm felt very late) and checked out later (10am is very early) but apart from that we had a great time and I would recommend the cottage for those wanting a relaxing stay in a beautiful area. It was a bit further away from the beach than the photos suggest but walk is pleasant and the beach beautiful.

Fantastic two bedroom property. I really recommend this for exploring the west end of the South Downs. We walked and cycled several sections during our stay. The property is finished to a high standard and is well equipped. It was great to have the use of a washing machine when we returned to the property with muddy clothes after exploring. We'd like to go back in the future.

The location was perfect. Lodsworth is a great place to stay, close to lots of lovely walks, and Richard's house is opposite the most wonderful pub. There is a village shop across the road, which is extremely convenient. We had a comfortable stay, and the place was spotless.
