Holiday houses in West Knoyle

We’ve had a fabulous holiday thanks to the house and its location. The house was just like home from home and with it being a 5-10 minute walk to an absolutely gorgeous beach, what more could you ask for. Even the pub next door did great food if you couldn’t be bothered to cook. Great break away from the norm. Just what the doctor ordered. Thank you to all associated with the beach house. Beautiful house with such a homely feel, I didn’t want to leave. Hosts were always responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

We had a lovely stay in Ganders Cottage, with two young children. The cottage was spotlessly clean, pleasant to stay in and we put the patio to good use by having breakfast there every day. We even spotted a pheasant from the garden. The kids enjoyed the cottage and it was very family friendly. We only regret not taking the time to explore the farm and walk the area. The cottage was ideally situated to explore the Jurassic Coast, and we had many lovely outings to the nearby beaches. Charlotte and Robin were great hosts, attentive yet unintrusive, kind and thoughtful. They gave us good tips before and during the stay.

We had a great 2 night stay at the Cow Byre. The place was beautifully decorated and very cosy. There were beautiful surroundings and enjoyed a hot chocolate and cake at the cafe on site. We had a lovely time exploring the area going on some walks. Enjoyed a great pub lunch at the Langley Tap. Would have liked to have some information on local walks and restaurants in the locality. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to have a relaxing break in the countryside.

Victoria’s house was beautiful, and perfect for our 2 families (8 people in total!) The wood burner was a lovely addition in the cold evenings. Bedrooms were an ideal layout for us and having 3 bathrooms was great and extremely helpful. The kitchen was stunning with fully equipped cupboards with everything needed. Very detailed information on house rules and expectations. Victoria was a perfect host and was very responsive to any questions. I didn’t have any issues for her to resolve as the house was perfect. The location was great for us as all the outings we had planned were a car drive away, we did go on a walk that was detailed in the information folder that was in the house, it was a lovely 2hrs in the countryside and something we wouldn’t have known had Victoria not put it in there. The local pub which is as 1 min walk did a lovely meal and Sunday roast. I would highly recommend this property, and Victoria as a host was amazing.

Our stay at Poachers cottage was really wonderful and exactly what we had wanted. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the cottage was so thoughtfully and beautifully done. The facilities were incredible and we were very lucky to have the pool to ourselves with beautiful weather when we stayed. There was loads for our toddler to do and Adele had any bits we might need for him. I am pretty heavily pregnant and between the pool and the very comfortable beds I had a wonderfully relaxing stay and anytime I needed something, somehow it was already there in the cupboard or in the bedroom. We couldn’t have asked for more. Home made cake and local bits when we arrived and all. Honestly I’ve been so torn on whether to keep this place all to myself but I couldn’t help but rave about my holiday when I got home and have had 3 friends ask for the link to go and stay!
