Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Watauga County

So fun!! Place was exactly as listed and so so beautiful!

We had a really great time at Crab Orchard House! It was a beautiful property and had so much character. My kids loved the old time charm and was close to all the fun things to do in the mountains! Would definitely stay again!

This unit worked very well for six adults, 4 kiddos and one baby. Quiet, on golf course with great views.

Great place to stay at. Very roomy, clean, beautiful, had everything we need and more. Martha was as very welcoming especially for such a last minute reservation!

We loved the home. The weather was iffy with the winter storm coming in and we had to leave a day early. But that’s not her fault!!! The cleaning could have been better; especially the tops of furniture. And the water took forever to heat up in the master bath…all in all it was a great place in a great location. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Views are beautiful in the snow!

We visited for President’s Day weekend and had a lovely stay with our elementary age kids. Check in was very straightforward. The house was well equipped and spotless with tons of space, including a mudroom, a functional fridge with ice/water dispenser and a garbage disposal, things I’ve found are often lacking in Airbnbs. Further, we really appreciated the coffee bar and separate bowls for our Frenchie - very thoughtful! My kids loved using the big master tub, and my husband and I are always pleased to see double vanities. Beds were comfortable with lots of extra linens available. The host was super responsive. It snowed while we were there and we were able to navigate the driveway without an issue. Lastly, a functional 2 car garage with garage door openers! So valuable in freezing/snowy weather. All around a great house for a family vacation.

We had a great stay! It snowed in the days before we arrived but the driveway was clear. My daughter was able to do some sledding in the side yard. The fireplace was wonderful and we enjoyed the collection of board games. An overall great mountain weekend!

We stayed at Jennifer's cabin for a girls weekend with my sisters and mom. It was nice and quiet but close to everything. It was cozy and just the right size for us.

Great apartment very close to Banner Elk, Sugar mountain and Beech mountain. Everything that one needs for a short/medium stay.

Perfect spot for my wife and I and two young kids to enjoy a weekend skiing at Sugar! Place was very clean, host’s communication timely and helpful, and the location fantastic for quick access to the mtn

The apartment location is super convenient since it is literally 5 minutes from the Ski resort areas, which is the main attraction during winter time, couple of local restaurants and ski rent stores. It is a very cozy place and the hosts were very communicative, keept us up to date on the weather conditions (a big thing if you don't have the proper vehicle for the area).

Lynn is a wonderful host who even let our dogs out while we were away. the apartment is small but functional and the backyard is amazing. will stay again!!

Michelle’s place was perfect for our group to stay in after a day of skiing! It was so cozy and a perfect mountain weekend getaway. Her place is conveniently located close to the ski resort and restaurants in Beech Mountain. We will definitely be back for our next Beech Mountain trip!

This bottom floor apartment was in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that was close to all the West Jefferson places we like to visit. It was clean and organized. I loved the little “extra thoughtful amenities” that were available if you forgot things from home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee relaxing while two hummingbirds hovered for a minute.

The condo was the perfect base for our family's weekend in the mountains. It's is walking distance to the sledding hill, in the next building to the pool/hot tub, and there's a smaller hill for sledding right outside. Do take the instructions about snow chains seriously; the last half mile of the drive was very icy when we were there.

We had a great stay at Brenda's place! She accurately described the place, communicated positively, and was very helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!

A wonderful place to gather with friends and family! We had a lovely time celebrating Thanksgiving and enjoying the beautiful view!!

Ron and Martha were the perfect hosts for our family's Thanksgiving weekend. The house is stunning and the views breathtaking. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen which provided everything new needed to cook all weekend. Ron and Martha provided detailed directions and instructions for our arrival and parking and were super responsive to our questions. We look forward to being able to stay here again!

Thank you to Gloria and Lorraine for everything! My family of four loved the accomodations! Everything was neat, clean, and the location was quiet and peaceful. Their communication was friendly and quick. I couldn't ask for more, and would definitely recommend this listing! I will have my family stay here again if needed.

had the best stay! perfect for a weekend at the slopes for my husband and I. squeaky clean! we loved the wood burning fireplace after a cold day on the slopes. would definitely stay again!
