Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Wartburgkreis

We loved our stay at Kathi’s beautiful home. There’s everything you need there and we were grateful for the extra consumables and special holiday touches. We were able to bring our extended family together from around the globe and we felt right at home for the holidays. We loved the walking trails and being surrounded by nature. It’s relaxing to spend time in the garden, even in the winter, and the stars at night are amazing. Nearest grocery shopping is 8 minutes away and the neighboring villages are picturesque. Kathi was also flexible, which was greatly appreciated! We’d love to return.

We spent a week here in the fall as a family of five. The accommodation was comfortably furnished, the space generous and the kitchen fully equipped. Great view of the valley. Good communication. We felt very comfortable.

We were there with 4 adults and 2 small children and had a very nice and relaxing stay. It had everything we needed. Also a crib and high chair. There was enough space for everyone and the amenities were of very high quality. Besides, it was very clean and the garden is totally beautiful. We will be happy to come back. 😊

It was a great opportunity for the winter. We brought our 2 dogs and the house was definitely ready for it. A lot of small things that made our stay great. 2 small things - if you come with 4 adults, you might need to bring a big towel with you. Also come prepared well for the cold as it is on the mountains and sometjmes it was hard to warm the rooms up. All in all it was peaceful, cozy and was working exactly for what we needed. The house was as described and we felt very comfortable. Well equipped. large fenced property (perfect for dogs). It would be nice if the description adds that there is another small house on the property and you share the property. But got along great with the neighbors.

The time at Nicole's Airbnb was lovely. We were looking for a quiet and cozy apartment somewhere in the middle of nowhere with a fireplace for New Year's Eve - that's exactly what we got. Even four people can be accommodated here, as the apartment is very spacious (more spacious than it looks in the photos). The nearby Thuringian Forest offers many opportunities for activities. Plenty of brochures and flyers are also available in the apartment. The reservoir, which is described in the pictures and in the advertisement, can also be reached quickly on foot, but it was now empty in winter. For the arrival, we recommend that future guests arrive with Google Maps. The four of us arrived with two cars and both navigation systems led us astray independently. Only thanks to Google Maps did we all finally get to the right destination.

We loved staying at Rodger's place. It has so much character! Rodger is a great host and a wonderful musician. We spent all evening listening to his classical guitar recordings!

The apartment is very large and spacious. Everything you need. In a secluded location. Two playgrounds in the village. Beds are very comfortable.

We were very warmly welcomed. The accommodation met our expectations and we'd love to come back.

There were two of us guests at Barbara's and we really enjoyed our stay. And also, the fact that Barbara was not present on the day of our arrival hardly caused any problems. Only that there was no oil in the kitchen for cooking briefly caused irritation; however, the problem could be easily solved thanks to Barbara's daughter and based on our experience Barbara adds the detail in the ad description. So, if you're not sure about a furnishing detail, just write to Barbara! She seemed very grateful to me for our tip and tried to adjust the description. Overall a very great stay!

This was the perfect venue for a visit with friends in Gehren. The home was cozy, comfortable and well-provisioned. It was a perfect home base for all of the walking we did while visiting. Highly recommend!

Overall, we enjoyed it very much. For group activities there is the basement room with large table, but we felt more comfortable upstairs in the living room and dining room because it is nice and bright there unlike downstairs. There is no room for group activities that really has space (without a table in between). We liked the proximity to nature very much. We were also there with dogs, it is very nice to walk.

The accommodation offers not only EVERYTHING that is described, but much more: very tasteful furnishings, excellent kitchen equipment and offers for children from children's dishes to play rooms! Incredibly friendly landlords... we were all comfortable. Thank you!

We stayed with Holger for two nights and felt comfortable. We were warmly welcomed. On site, everything was very straightforward. There was a small inconsistency in advance, but it was resolved. The place is very nice, the rooms great, just a little clammy in the basement. We liked to use the beautiful balcony with cozy furniture and great views. In the kitchen there is everything you need.

We had a very nice weekend with the whole family in Römhild. It is very convenient that each room has a bathroom. The dining table offers enough space for everyone, but you can also divide yourself through the different seating groups if a few people prefer to play cards and others prefer to chat. The surrounding area is nice for longer walks and you can pick a lot of wild garlic.
