Holiday houses in Varano de' Melegari

Paola and Antonio are fantastic hosts - friendly, caring and great fun. Their veg from the garden really made us feel home. They had great advice re events in the area. The flat is practical and spacious for two. If you’re 3 or 4 people 1 or 2 of you sleep in the open plan kitchen-living area. There’s enough space. The sofa bed is not too comfy (for adults). The patio is not very big, but a really nice place for meals etc. The area is away from the coast’s busy-ness in the hills, but close enough to the beaches (about 18 min to drive). Campegli is a picturesque village. The next shop is only a 6-8min drive away. Unfortunately there are no shops left in Campegli itself. Lots of stuff to do inland and at the coast. The distance to the Cinqueterre or to Portofino is easy to bridge by car or (better!) by train. We had a fantastic holiday in Campegli and surroundings and might be back.

We loved our stay at David's place near Comano. Beautiful surroundings with authentic feel. 7 of us were very comfortable. Loved the deck and the pool. Gorgeous town with cafe right across!

A quick but great stay at Elena’s place. The house is fully furnished, and you immediately get the vibe of Italian hospitality. This is not a 21st century place, the photos do the house justice. But you get a stay in a traditional house with fantastic views. The only issue we had during our stay was a plugged toilet. Easy communication with host throughout. We will pick this place again if we ever drive back through.

What a lovely place! So peaceful and exactly as described. Riccardo was extremely helpful and check in was really easy. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable and lovely and quiet. Good clear directions to find it. Excellent pizzaria within walking distance, the locals are very welcoming too. We will absolutely stay again and is definitely worth the 5 stars and more, an absolute gem!

Apartment surrounded by nature, great location to visit the village of Grazzano Visconti just a 4-minute drive away, Antonio was always available for any of our needs, we will definitely be back.

Hosts: present and very responsive while being discreet. Listing: as presented in the listing, spacious, clean, functional, very nice air conditioning for this month of August! Outdoor layout: swimming pool, and sunbathing: ideal for a relaxing moment. The garden is also very beautiful and well kept. Location: Bagnone is an ideal place at this time of the year because it allows you to find calm, beautiful places to relax in nature ( swimming by the river, hikes ) while being lively, offering good restaurants and shops nearby. The location is ideal for visiting the five lands, beaches and surrounding towns if you come by car ( 35 minutes to 1h15 drive to the sea - La spezia - Lucca ... ) We had a lovely week! We had an amazing week at Tommasos place! From the moment we arrived, the host and his very friendly mother made us feel incredibly welcome and was so helpful throughout our stay. The place itself was spotless and well-maintained, with a serene atmosphere that made it the perfect getaway. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, offering peace and tranquility, truly great for the soul. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a wonderful host!
