Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Valdez

Place was amazing and so close to everything.

Best place that we stayed during our two week trip in Alaska. Amazing property with epic views. Incredible hospitality. Immaculate accommodations. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. An authentic Alaskan homestead that is off the beaten path. Loved it! Thank you Hannah and Jan!!

This campsite is a yearly stay for us. It is convenient, quiet, and clean. It is a perfect jumping off point for a lot of adventures in the Valdez and Copper River area.

We enjoyed our stay at Ellyn & Casey’s place. The house was exactly as pictured and had the essentials we needed for our visit to the area. This was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park as it fell somewhere in the middle between the northern and southern regions of the park. It is located in a very quiet area, but is a bit removed from town if that is something that is important for you (it didn’t bother us at all). Ellyn & Casey were communicative hosts who provided clear check-in/check-out instructions and detailed information for locating the property/cabin. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Gail's cabin was absolutely wonderful (as was she!). The space is cozy and comfortable, with ample room for all our food, toiletries, clothing, bags, etc. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked, upon arrival, with mini milks, juices, waters, some condiments, and muffins and cookies. There was also a variety of other breakfast items like microwave oatmeals and cereals. There are some DVDs on hand, and many supplies for water activities, so there is quite a bit to do here (even at the end of the season when it's starting to cool down). The lake is picturesque, and Gail's place was a wonderful, relaxing reprieve from an otherwise action-packed Alaska itinerary. The bed is a bit stiff, for those who may prefer a soft, plush mattress, and the bathroom faucet, shower head, and shower door seals could use a good, detailed cleaning, but other than those small things, the place was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing setup and so appreciate all the details! The breakfast + s’mores + hot chocolate + tea + fire gear were so appreciated. Made for a great and restful stopover. Thanks for going out of your way to make sure my dogs were set, too!

Beautiful home, very spacious, great location with an amazing view from all sides. I would highly recommend Sonya’s home to anyone who was going to Valdez for pleasure or business.
