We had a great stay. The property was clean, cozy and spacious. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and memorable experience. The location was a bit far from the train station, but there were bus stops and convenirnce stores nearby.

Mr. Araki is very talkative and is a Japanese with a variety of cultural thoughts. The location of residence is easy for me to love by bus, although it is some distance from the city center.I've been to Kyoto many times, and it feels more comfortable and quiet to stay in Mr. Araki than in the city center of so many people.Walking distance to Millennium Ancient Temple, you can feel the more authentic side of Kyoto's local people. Very grateful and fortunate to stay here this time, met Mr. Araki and he shared a lot of interesting things including his cat.Thank you Mr. Araki for our care and help, very, very moved, we will go back again to see Mr. Araki.

Very nice host, convenient place to live, drug store and convenience store, bus stop right at the door, host is very nice, easy to communicate, house provided enough daily supplies including garbage bags.

Yoshimi was such a wonderful host! She met me even when i had a late check in. She was SO welcoming and friendly, recommended great restaurants, and helped me out with local transportation around Kyoto and Osaka airport! Loved the location, perfect distance to everything! She was always quick to respond with any questions or concerns that i had too

The living was convenient, fully equipped, and the living environment was quiet and comfortable.It was close to the shrine, and the air and atmosphere were clear and pleasant.Oya-san is really kind and thank you for your help.I want to stay here again!

Ken was very down to earth and met/communicated with us accordingly. If you are looking for the best location in Kyoto for a couple or small family (two small children) then this would be my recommendation. Perfectly situated next to many subway stations, shopping, and dining areas this charming apartment met all of our needs while we enjoyed Kyoto for 5 days. Nestled very closely to the Gion nightlife you will be welcomed to many options to enjoy just that with the opportunity to retreat to river view “lanai” and unwind. Ken’s Riverside Terrace was simple but convenient and elegant. He provided small touches of service such as house items you may want to use( we loved the cute Ghibli characters), friendly messages to check in on us, and a gift bag when we checked out. We will 100% would love to return here one day and we appreciate the opportunity to enjoy Kyoto coming from Hawaii.

I had an absolutely wonderful time. I spend a couple of weeks in the apartment and it really did feel like a home, not just a resting place on Holliday. whenever I had questions, I got a response almost always right away. communication, in person or through the app, was always super friendly and helpful. when i wasn't sure which metro to take, I got a very detailed description of where to go. including a time table. which is just one of the many ways that I was helped during my stay. the song recommendations and cute cat videos made the stay more fun. I loved watching them while I was in the bus. the place was peaceful, which was important for me. there is a bus right in front of the building and 2 other lines within 10min walking. no matter where in Kyoto I had to go, there was always easy transport closeby. all in all I had a wonderful time. not just because of Kyoto, but also because of the apartment and host. I will definitely go back there if/when I have the chance.

We had a great stay in Tg’s place. He welcomed us at the door when we arrived and showed us around the house and provided the instructions. He also helped us arranged the taxi when we leave. He is a great host and always responsive and helpful! The house itself is gorgeous. It is exactly as you can see in the anime. I stayed in the house during on warm spring afternoon. I opened the windows around the house and can hear the running water sound and bird sound from the garden. It was very relaxing, feeling that I live in the anime world. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Walkable distance to 7/11. We also found a local restaurant -Takano to be our go to place for lunch. It was a nice local store and provides homemade food.

Min was a lovely host with a beautiful home. There is a shared entrance way, Min lives in the left side of the house and we stayed in the right side. Our area was completely private however. She was very responsive and helpful. The house is situated in a nice neighbourhood and is authentic Japanese style. The floor beds were very comfortable as well. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to a family issue. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Convenient parking in front of the house. Large cars can park. The house size is suitable for a large family. All necessary equipment is provided. The bathroom and toilet are convenient because they are on the ground floor. You can walk to the station.

Outstanding! Very quiet neighborhood that is close to a wonderful supermarket, 5 minute walk to the train that will access everything in both directions. Very clean and modern accommodation. Hosts were extremely helpful, genuine and kind. I would highly recommend if you want to be out of the congested areas of the city. Several restaurants near by to choose from. 10/10 !

Really enjoyed our stay in this cosy charming home which has a traditional feel just what we wanted to experience in Kyoto. The host was extremely thoughtful in providing above and beyond the basics such as milk, snacks, lovely coffee tea etc. We felt so comfortable right at home. We especially enjoyed the little courtyard garden with beautiful blossoms. Thank you so much! 😊

The house is beautiful and very cozy. Even better than the photos. The hosts are very welcoming and considerate. The house contains several thoughtful touches. The location a short walk from the resorts is ideal.
