Holiday rentals with lake access in Torbay

We enjoyed our stay. The decor and space is fantastic. Fabulous hotel quality towels and lovely bedding. Well equipped kitchen. No welcome extras or local shop, so pick up milk on the way in. We had a Tesco delivery and saw a Morrisons van too. We didn’t use the courtyard, but as described, it is a useful storage space. Personally, I wouldn’t use it as it was down a grubby alley of bins and is dull. Probably better in warmer season though. Torcross is very quiet and tired out of season, but it was a good place from which to explore. We went up and over to the next cove. Sadly, it has had a lot of storm damage and is dangerous. South Devon is full of wonderful beaches though. Hope Cove is gorgeous! Note that there is a small car park immediately outside the front door - convenient for parking (we never had a problem finding a space), but lots of coming and going and care needed with dog/children.

Fantastic place! 30 min walk to Slapton Sands or a short 15 min drive to the beautiful Blackpool sands. There are 2 pubs a 5 min walk from the bunkhouse. Although neither could fit in our group of 23! The instruction booklet was easy to understand in terms of how to use the kitchen etc... The bunks were actually really comfortable (I'm a 46yr old female). A few of the rooms are ensuite but there's plenty of showers and toilets. Towels aren't included but bedding, washing up stuff, tea towels and toilet rolls were. Definitely a step up from camping and perfect for groups of families!

An absolutely awesome place to stay at great value! As soon as the door was opened it could be seen that the place is well looked after to a high standard. Located in a very peaceful location, you can almost hear the silence - great if you want to get away from the city and have some time out from every day life. The juxtaposition of the house, the sea, the woods, brilliant walking routes, breathtaking views and more is something to behold. An easy drive into the bigger towns from the house and the dedicated parking space made life very easy! The corner shop is just a few doors down and was handy for those forgotten bits and pieces. Wil definitely be staying here again in the warmer months. Thank you Louise for hosting.

An amazing place to stay! Super stylish and comfortable and a great location! We loved being so close to the ferry - watching everyone on and off, as well as nipping across to Dartmouth and back with fish and chips! We walked up to Greenway, Agatha Christie's holiday home (now National Trust) - a beautiful walk along the valley. We were only there for three days but would definitely come back!

Briony was very helpful, accommodating and quick to respond to messages. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, and the Airbnb itself was immaculate and well presented on arrival. We really enjoyed our stay here!

We had a wonderful stay and the house was perfect. It was spotless and very comfortable. You do get a parking permit but you can only stay for a maximum of 3 hours a day in the nearest car park so we got a 3 day pass for another car park using a parking app. It wasn’t ideal but the location is very central so not so bad. The house is well equipped and we are glad we stayed! Great host and hope to visit again.

We stayed in the apartment for three days and it was as described. Margaret responded quickly and was very friendly and helpful. The house is in a quiet residential area. The beaches are within easy walking distance. The only thing was that the separate washing or drying room smelled very musty.

Great location and easy to access. Walkable as it's only a few minutes from city centre and the university. Definitely staying again.

Great property, easy to find and perfect for a 1-2 guests. Jane was friendly and easy to contact. Parking right outside which was a huge plus for us. There was an extra internal door which we assume would link directly to Jane’s property or another airbnb which was locked - this wasn’t listed however, the property still felt secure. Just something for guests to be aware of. Thanks for a great stay - would recommend for anyone wanting to be in close proximity to Newton Abbot.

Staying here was a real delight. Very close to marina, didn't need to get back in the car the whole time we were here. very nicely decorated apartment, very friendly and understanding hosts. can't wait to come again.

Beautiful flat ideally situated on Torquay cliffs - which means a fun 5-minute hike up and down the paths for the beach. The flat is decorated with nautical theme and is super comfortable, quiet, peaceful. We had everything we needed from soaps and dishwasher tabs to towels and gowns. Would stay here again.

A really beautiful location and a great property, we had a wonderful week with the kids. The countryside is stunning, such a great place to enjoy the countryside and close to loads of great day trips as well. Accommodation was well finished and had everything we needed, including great log burner and hot tub which kids loved 😊 highly recommended, thanks for having us!

This is a perfect cottage in a perfect spot. We have loved coming here again. Everything was great with the accomodation, well equiped, comfy beds, love the log burner, really appreciate the parking permit. Nothing negative to say, wish I lived here. Thanks for a great stay.

We've stayed with Julie last yeat and we were as happy this time as we were the first. Lovely and friendly and showed me the other accommodations she has which were beautiful and very well thought out with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be going again. I cannot fault this accommodation at all.

A great area of Devon to visit with various pretty places to explore. The stay was right on the beach so really convenient, hosts really responsive and very helpful information. Parking not ideal but manageable, we would definitely stay again.

Had the best time at Torr Farm, super comfortable accommodation with so many wonderful things to do on the property, just walking around the woodland was gorgeous and the ponds were so peaceful to relax near. The kids loved it so much; the trampoline was a big hit! Would definitely plan to come again, Nicolas was very welcoming and it was a brilliant location with so much to do nearby.

We had a great week staying at Gate House West. Our 2 year old grandson loved it. The indoor pool was the stand out success....simple booking system and everyone stuck to their time slot. Loads of wild life around the estate .... absolutely beautiful.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Karen’s cottage. The location is perfect with lovely walks on your doorstop, excellent pub just along the road and generally great for exploring east Devon. It’s a cosy cottage. Wood burner heats the lounge quickly and our dog loved the heated floor in the kitchen. We loved the hot chocolate station! Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

A fantastic place with great and responsive hosts. Suzi helped us out with a few bits of local advice and made us feel very welcome. She went the extra mile for us and so I can heartily recommend staying here - especially for families.
