Beachfront holiday rental in Te Koko-o-Kupe / Cloudy Bay

Really enjoyed our 4 nights at the Cabin #2. To be able to walk down to the waterfront on the same plot was great. It is well equipped and very clean. David very helpful and pleasant guy. Well located - a short drive to Picton and boats for Queen Charlotte Track.

We had a beautifully relaxing and energising couple of days at Tira Ora. The hosts were super lovely, the place was full of rustic charm, animals and birds everywhere. The rooms were comfortable, home-cooked food was delicious, and the place so captivating, we were sorry to have to leave. Great for families, a real natural treat away from it all.

We had a wonderful family Christmas holiday by the sea. The location is amazing being on Queen Charlotte Sound with beautiful views across Waikawa and the sea. We went fishing from the jetty and very much appreciated the use of the paddle boards and kayak and hot tub. Its one of those places where you don't feel you need to 'go anywhere' but to just stay and relax which I guess is what holidays are for. It was hard to leave this holiday home

We had a lovely stay at Ben’s summer Bach. Waking up each morning to a view of the bay can’t be beat. The location is close enough to access Picton and Blenheim for restaurants and cafes etc while still feeling secluded and tranquil. Each access to trails and a wonderful place to kayak around. The fenced yard was perfect for my pups as well.

The apartement was nicely furnished and very clean. There were thoughtful little extras like some cold drinks and breakfast cereal or little snacks upon arrival so that we could settle in and feel at home immediately. David is helpful and easy to reach if there are any questions. The view from the apartment is beautiful!

We stayed at Tira Ora over Christmas and was definitely an amazing and very memorable time. We we're treated as part of the family with exceptional hospitality, food and festivities and even received a Christmas present under the tree. The estate is vast, with lots to do and explore and a good get away from civilisation, truly a retreat where one can reconnect with nature and each other. Our only regret is not spending more time here. Much love to the Tira Ora family, you were amazing!

One of the most heavenly accomodation options we have found - which is saying a lot. We intentionally seek out the best, most beautiful & character filled accomodation we can find & The Waterfall Boathouse is definitely one of, if not the top of, our picks. On top of that, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were a most gracious & natural family. It was a real pleasure. Thank you so much Karen & John, Robert & Phoebe.

An oasis only a bit more than an hour from the ferry. Clean and well-stocked, and a great value to boot! Bedrooms are separated from the living area by a nice hallway so noise isn’t an issue, and the beach is only occupied by a few other houses so feels perfectly deserted! Rebecca was super responsive and we’ll definitely be back…

Beautiful views and beach . House has everything you could need and more. Comfy beds and soft sheets and lovely white towels very nice touch. It’s a hike to get to and from beach but so lovely listening to the bird song and cicadas.

We loved our stay at Al’s bach. The view is fabulous and house very comfortable.

Simply the best location! Beautiful views across the bay and perfectly situated across the road from the jetty, which has a bench seat to enjoy the sunrise and sunset with a coffee or beer. Halfway situated between Havelock and Picton, and 5 minutes from the start of the Queen Charlotte Track, this is the ideal location for walks and exploring the Sounds. The ideal home away from home

We have had many great stays on Airbnb. This one was pure magic. This place is the ultimate NZ bach. Surrounded by forests and close to the Nydia Track and with a spectacular view of the water and surrounding Marlborough Sounds scenery it is as close to paradise as one can get. Swimming off their private wharf was fun as was going for a row. The daily treks on the nearby Nydia Track were great. I just can’t describe how wonderful we felt while staying there and how soundly we slept! As hosts and human beings, Marty and Sabine are the very best. They are so interesting so resourceful and wonderful to be with. All in all it was our best Airbnb stay. We’re already planning to return next summer.

Absolutely fantastic house with heaps of room in beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views. A really well set up and stocked Bach with everything you need. Spa pool and bath were awesome, and the huge tv with sky sports brilliant really perfect for Rugby World Cup viewing! We would definitely come back here, all of our family loved it.... got fish and crays for supper and just generally had a perfect Sounds weekend!

Had a wonderful stay. It’s a truly stunning spot. Being able to drive to the bach, having a mooring and a sandy beach a few minutes walk away made for a really special family holiday.

The perfect family holiday house! We stayed with our two young kids and two sets of grandparents and had plenty of room. Very comfortable house with everything you need, except a dishwasher! A dishwasher would be a great improvement as washing dishes for 8 people by hand three times a day takes a lot of time and work out of your holiday…that’s really the only down side as everything else was absolutely perfect. The location is great, so much to do but for the people that just need a place to relax and do nothing, this is perfect too. The view is stunning from pretty much anywhere in the house. The private beach access is amazing and we enjoyed the kayaks that come with the house. We also enjoyed picking fresh lemons or grapefruits for juicing from the trees in the garden, how lush! Honestly would come again in a flash if I could afford it again! The price for this house is up there and might need reviewing considering the rather dated interior but space and location make it worthwhile.
