Cottage holiday rentals in Tay

We had a great time!! It would have been nice to have a greater variety of cookware since there was only one huge pot available. Also basic condiments such as ketchup were missing from the fridge which is often provided by most hosts. However the place the super cute and clean.

Daniel gave a thorough intro message of specifics the day of on top of what was already so clearly laid out. The property was beautiful with access to so many activity options. House is clean and spacious. We spent a lot of time on the dock which had a great selection of furniture and sun/shade options. The beach is a close walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will likely be back to enjoy the space again!

Jason was very responsive to our questions and issues with the property. He promptly came out to clear any accumulated snow fall and was nearby to help if needed. We also appreciated the proximity to town and conveniences, plus it is a beautiful location on the Muskoka River. We felt at ease in the house and had a wonderful 18 days with visiting friends and family over the Holidays.

Great place!! It looks like the description and everything was quite clean. The kitchen had everything we needed, there were even some snacks in a basket when we arrived. It’s walking distance to Blue Mountain which was great for skiing. You also can’t beat having a hot tub and sauna after a day on the slopes. We will be back. The host was really responsive and easy to deal with, and had clear instructions. Thanks for the great stay!

Mandie was an amazing host. She checked on us making sure everything was good in this beautiful little chalet. The snow was beautiful. The hot tub was amazing. Love taken walks down the street and looking at the Beautiful River. Everything was perfect. Bed was so comfortable very clean live the leather couch love the record player everything was perfect

A wonderful place to stay for two families with children. Well equipped and comfortable house. Lots of outdoor activities in the winter. Absolutely stunning surroundings. We didn’t want to leave!!! A special time away!

We had an incredible stay at Stu and Sarah's! They came to greet us when we arrived, even though it was late, and showed us how everything worked. They were super responsive anytime we had a question. The place was quiet and peaceful, in a beautiful rural surrounding. We loved the woodstove and hottub! The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, beds were very comfortable, and ample linens were provided. Sarah and Stu sent a detailed guide to the cottage and the area, and graciously allowed us to stay late on check-out day due to bad driving conditions. We will be rebooking with them in summer to see the landscape in another season and enjoy the lake!

Pam’s place is incredible, beautifull cottage and surroundings, loved the wood stove fireplace. Wifi super fast!!! We will come back for sure.

We stayed at this cozy and welcoming cottage as a group of five for four nights, and overall, we had a great experience. The space was warm, inviting, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. However, there were a few downsides: we had to bring our own duvets, which took up a lot of space in the car along with our luggage. Additionally, the instructions for trash disposal were unclear, making it difficult to manage with limited car space. The frying pans were also quite scratched, which made cooking a bit tricky. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cottage with a heads-up about these details

Well, we loved the place. The cottage looks much better than it is in the pictures. We enjoyed inside, surrounding and fire pit. Anthony was very responsive and he let us stayed 1:30 hours extra on the checkout day which was extremely nice. Hoping to visit again in the summer 2025.

Stayed for a few nights over the holidays. Jonathan was very responsive and had above and beyond instructions and details for all the airbnb and area had to offer! Very cozy at home feeling and was so accommodating to us! would definitely return for a Muskoka get away!

Nicole was very responsive. She made sure our check-in went well and asked if we had any questions at the start of our stay. The house is large and nicely decorated. The outdoor fire pit was so relaxing, and fun for all of us (firewood, and toasting forks provided for marshmallows!) The kitchen is large and very well stocked. It is close to many hiking trails, and breweries. The near-by lake beach is a great place to watch the sun set. I highly recommend staying here.

A great retreat for a New Year’s nest. Loved the hot tub in the snow - and the bunkie! Very relaxing, comfortable. You should organize your food supply carefully though as it would take about 2 hours (40 min to Foodland, 40 min back and 20 min shopping). We were fine as we had brought lots of food with us. Also, the walls between the two bedrooms are very thin, so if you have a snorer….Otherwise, a wonderful property!!

Very nice and cozy place. The host was friendly and let us have a flexible check in. Will be looking forward to potentially booking it again coming summer.

My group and I had an excellent stay at the cottage. The lake is beautiful and the property is as well; inside and out. The location is quiet, yet not too secluded, making the overall experience very peaceful. The home was also very clean, functional, and had even more amenities than we were even expecting! Our family had an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend at Carol's property. The cabin was cozy and charming, the bunkie was super cute and the deck and fire pit were amazing spots to hang out at. It's a short walk to the water and a convenience store/lcbo. Our only issue was that we didn't stay long enough!

We had an amazing stay at this property! The house was spacious and perfect for our group, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and a huge hit for both daytime and evening relaxation. The host was responsive and ensured we had everything needed for a great stay. I would recommend this place and would love to come back again.

Had the best time at Matthew’s cottage. Loved the private hiking trails, the sauna, hanging out in the screened in room at night, view right from the deck, lots of space inside. Matthew is super helpful, & responsive. Such a unique & private setting (we & the kids especially loved the little water crossing from the car to the cottage, made it feel like we couldn’t go anywhere and had to “unwind from the hustle of everyday life”, but in reality such a short distance we could go back to the car whenever needed) . We will definitely be back! Thanks for hosting our family Matthew!

Had a great stay at this property. Cottage is very clean and exactly what they describe. Amazing views and great location on Lake Muskoka. Watched the sunset every night. Would highly recommend.

Went to James's place for some well deserved R & R and we got it. Lovely location, great swimming, the sun was shining, sand was golden, water was perfect. All the amenities we needed. Great to sit by the fire at night and enjoy the sun set. Loved the outdoor shower.
