Holiday rentals with breakfast in Tamalpais-Homestead Valley

We were visiting our children and grandchildren who lived a few blocks away from this lovely home, so the proximity was a key feature. In addition the yard was a real treat for the granddaughters to play in a safe and enclosed area with sufficient space to wear them out for their naps!!. The house itself was quite lovely, boasting multiple spaces for entertaining or just getting away from the group with a quiet book. The kitchen was very well appointed, far better than many of the homes we have visited with airbnb. The spacious bedrooms were very comfortably furnished,and everything was squeaky clean…the owner was very proactive, often checking that we had every amenity available to make our stay comfortable. We will certainly choose to visit again when we return for the next family gathering.

Joan's place is magical — set amidst redwoods within walking distance of the center of Mill Valley, where there are plenty of restaurants, a good bookstore, and delicious coffee. The living/dining area has floor to ceiling windows...more like glass walls, and there's a spacious deck where you can watch the sunrise on a clear day and the stars at night. If you want to stay in a place that feels full of history and stories, there's no better place. This is the second time I've gotten to stay at Joan's for a work retreat, and it has been absolutely perfect both times. And Joan herself is utterly lovely and generous — an added delight to the experience.

Kate's house was a perfect place for our family to stay. We have family that lives close by so the house was a good choice. Plenty of space for 7 of us. We would definitely stay here again if we all travel together.

Host was very responsive even though out of country during our visit over Thanksgiving. Well stocked kitchen which we used extensively in preparing Thanksgiving meal. Nice outdoor courtyard with lovely trees. All three bedrooms very ample.

The house is stunningly beautiful - wood floors, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful tile work- in one of the most stunningly beautiful parts of California - a beaches and hiking trails that go on for miles. Definitely one of the nicest Air B and Bs that we have stayed at.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The host was responsive and helpful. I felt good staying there especially since it was close to a lot of the things I wanted to do.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay here and would happily stay here again! From a safe neighborhood, to a spotless home, to freshly filled hot tub, to the well-stocked towels and beddings, to welcoming gathering spaces, to the private back yard and bedrooms...not to mention all the design and personal touches that make this house feel like a home! This home is restorative and relaxing as could be. I could go on and on. Everything we needed was here. And any shopping we needed was just a block away. We hiked nearby trails about ten minutes away like the Lafayette Reservoir and Lafayette Moraga tail every day. I couldn't imagine a more perfect fit. Honestly, it was hard to leave. Thank you Amy!

It’s a special experience staying at Little Castle. Not only is it a lovely house but it is equipped with everything you can imagine for a great stay. My family had our Thanksgiving during our stay and everything you can imagine to cook for and serve eleven people was available. Leslie was a great host and ensured we had everything we needed. Can’t recommend Little Castle enough if you are looking to get a large group together.

Within walking distance of our daughter’s apartment, this was a terrific choice for easy walks, nearby dining and even a popular Sunday farmers market! Walking along neighborhood streets opened up the flavor of the city, a welcoming, clean, friendly experience that added so much to the trip. The space was ideal for relaxing and even a loaf of sourdough for morning coffee and light breakfast. We had a nice visit with Barbara, our new friend and a wonderful host.

Room was small but clean. The shared bathroom was also tidy. In the kitchen there were free drinks and snacks. Parking at the property was a bit difficult, but this is normal in San Francisco.

Monica & John were extremely accommodating and helpful, also very kind and friendly. Very willing to go above and beyond as well as helping problem solve when an issue arose.

Delora is very friendly, and her place is the perfect getaway for a weekend to wine country! The windows truly do make it feel like you’re in a treehouse! Delora was extremely responsive and went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Ruby’s place is a wonderful, cozy spot for two in Berkeley. Close to lots of coffee shops and restaurants on San Pablo, it also has a wonderful outdoor space if you just want to get take out and hang out. But the real pleasure is meeting Ruby. She is so kind and warm and really wants your stay to be wonderful! She is incredibly responsive and helpful! We can’t wait to come back!

Always a very comfortable and easy stay at Emily's beautiful Berkeley home. Looking forward to the next time I can stay again.

I really enjoyed my 28-day stay here. Very well-maintained house. Modern kitchen with all advanced appliances. I stayed at Suite C which is quite spacious. The room and public areas are all very clean. Michelle is an amazing host! She proactively checked in with me before and during my stay. Always respond within 30 minutes whenever I needed anything. The location is good. 7-minute walk to bus station. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. I’ll definitely stay here again if I come to SF in the future!

We had a wonderful stay with Susanna and John. We had everything we needed in the room. We really appreciate the home made muffin and fruits in the morning. It was nice meeting and chatting with them. Also Moly and Lily are super sweet and cute! We love our stay and recommend it to everyone.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Delane’s home is lovely, well-maintained and beautifully decorated. The downtown area is within walking distance. Delane went out of her way to make me feel welcome and to ensure I was comfortable. Couldn’t ask for a better host!

Glen and Dawna have set the bar high. Though I have used AirBNB many times, I had never just had a room/area directly in the hosts home. I had always just felt weird about it, but this experience wasn’t weird at all. Dawna was so very kind and hospitable. I couldn’t have asked for more! The space was perfect. Plenty of room, comfy beds, snacks and bagels for breakfast provided. Just thoughtful touches that made it feel more like home. I would recommend this stay to anyone and would without a doubt stay here again!

I completely enjoyed my stay and would recommend their facilities to others. I stayed in the Hideaway Room, which was exactly how it looked in the AirBnB photos - and as well-appointed and comfortable as represented. Dan & Traci's directions/instructions on how to get in and use the facilities were quite clear (as were their various signs and instructions throughout the guest areas) and they were very responsive (often within a few minutes) when I had questions. Their property is in a pleasant residential area of South Berkeley that's just a short walk from several main streets with shops, restaurants, etc. I'd happily return if the opportunity arises.

Our stay was amazing, the house is so magical and we will remember our experience there forever. Skate and Jeannie were lovely hosts always made us feel at home and were always very attentive to any needs. Thank you! Hope to come stay again in the future !
