Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Switzerland

Our family of four had a pleasant stay at Yukiyo's residence. The location was advantageous and well-suited for commuting to various destinations. While we encountered a minor inconvenience with a malfunctioning washing machine, Yukiyo made commendable efforts to address the issue. The house was exceptionally clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. However, we encountered a challenge with the provision of garbage bags, as Switzerland utilizes taxed garbage bags and the house only provided one large bag for our five-night stay. This posed a slight inconvenience, as additional bags needed to be purchased in bulk from supermarkets. Overall, our experience was satisfactory.

The house is located in a unique historic village. Definitely go for a walk through the village . The location is great to discover the Versace valley and Lago Maggiore. The historic has been nicely renovated . All the essentials were present. It is a small and cozy house and it was perfect for us as a family for 4 nights ( 2 adults , 1 toddler, 1 dog). You can have dinner outside looking out over the valley. There is a great restaurant located next to the house. It has to be noted that parking was difficult. There is no dedicated parking for the house. One night we had to park 10 minutes down the road. Also, you have to go down quite a few steps to get to the house. Which might a challenge for less mobile people. We also struggled to find the place on the day of our arrival. The location on Airbnb is a few 100 meters off and it seems like all houses are called Rustico. However, Davide was very responsive and showed us in the right direction. Overall we had a great stay.

The house was perfect for a weekend (or even a week) with friends in the mountains. By car, you quickly threw at the valley station. The house was large, had enough bedrooms, comfortable beds and also the kitchen was very generously furnished. Heidi is a very good host. She always wrote quickly and kindly. She went out of her way to make sure we liked it. It's a great house, great host and I can only recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation experience. Very comprehensive information from Cely, lots of advice and recommendations. Great kitchen amenities, coffee maker with great coffee, tea, washing and cleaning supplies. Cely even baked a great banana bread for us and gave us butter and jam, which completely took our breath away. Truly extraordinarily excellent, always before we wanted anything, Cely predicted it and it was met in advance.

Had an absolutely fabulous week at Jane & Robin’s home. My wife, kids and I just didn’t want to leave. The home itself is full of warmth and peace. The garden is just fabulous with views of Lake Geneva and the mountains. I could spend weeks sitting there, sipping on wine and reading a book. The kids loved the massive trampoline and the stand up swimming pool. The whole house was extremely comfortable, lovely dining table kitchen, tv area and bedrooms. You definitely need a car and in any case anyone coming to the Montreux area should rent one. By car there are fabulous restaurants, cafes and supermarkets within 5 mins of the home. I definitely want to return to this piece of paradise - let me know when it’s available again, Robin and Jane!

Christine's apartment was fabulous, modern, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, cosy and had comfortable beds. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend it. Just be aware though if you are booking this 6 bed apartment for only 3 or 4 people as we had an issue. We were a party of 2 mothers (in 60's) & 2 sons (in 20's). We were pleased to find this apartment as it had 3 rooms so the mothers could have a room each and sons share twin room. However when we arrived the twin room was locked and unavailable & 2 rooms did not match the listing showing 3. We were very disappointed. Christine did respond quickly and rectified the situation but pointed out she she had provided 4 beds. One mother is an Airbnb host and didn't feel she was very apologetic for the disappointment we had felt. She would have been far more apologetic. However she did not charge us for use of laundry to compensate. we can still thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment.

Gemma is truly a great host. She made sure we were comfortable with the arrangements before the cancellation period expires. Her house is a great place if you are looking for a family home and if you have kids. She checked in with us at regular intervals to make sure that we were having a good time. There are ample reading materials if you just want to chill with a book by the fireplace with some wine.

The apartment is in a great location. Especially in front of the bus that leads to the ski resort. In addition, it has been very cozy, perfectly equipped and just right for us. Nicole is friendly and communication went perfectly. Looking forward to next time!

Nice & cozy place to stay. Comfortable beds. Top equipped (even table grill & fondue dishes available). Grocery stores and gondola very close. Thermal bath (Hotel Nendaz) is also very close. Heinz responds quickly to questions & is very friendly. We had a very enjoyable stay - thank you!

Julien's apartment was exactly as expected with such beautiful views of the mountains as a bonus. Communication from Julien was super effective. Our stay was in winter but I would recommend all year round.

Everything was perfect and easy. And there were things like salt and washing up liquid and egg cups all the details that you overlook when going away for the weekend. very nice

We will definitely be back. We loved every minute at Alessandra's beautiful apartment! The beds were super comfortable (which is unusual for AirBNB apartments) and the apartment was nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped with enough dishes and utensils so we didn't have to run the dishwasher all the time. There was even shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towels for the entire stay (also unusual for AirBNB). Alessandra was super friendly and responsive. Can highly recommend!

Thank you, Julian, for offering affordable accommodation in a fantastic location. Although there were six of us we felt comfortable, cosy and had everything we needed, a perfect stay.

Had a great stay, was easy to find and check in. For us the location was perfect, with an amazing view. For us as hikers we loved the area.

We enjoyed the apartment very much. We felt right at home It is, although located on the street, in the apartment quite quiet, big enough for four people and nice and bright. The kitchen is well equipped, towels were ready for everyone and a parking space was also available. There are many hiking opportunities in the area. Nils and Micha also responded right away when we wrote. All in all, a clear recommendation if you are on vacation in the area.

Excellent spot with a beautiful view. Plenty of room for 2 people. Kitchen is well equipped to cook home cooked meal and enjoy the beauty of the lake. Check in was smooth and Gian welcomed us and showed us around. Highly recommended!

Ideally located apartment, perfect for families with its direct access to the beginner's slopes and the nearby Sport Arena. Well equipped, it offers all the comforts you need, and its south facing terrace is a real asset to enjoy the sun.

Joelle is very responsive and kind. The apartment is spacious, bright, and well equipped. Perfect for a family of 4-5. Super position with easy access to many beautiful hikes (some start exactly from the apartment e.g. Rocabella or Pass da Sett), lots of tranquility, and a quick drive to more populated Engadin and Surses.
