We were most impressed with the beautiful furnishings and excellent kitchen and bathroom in the loft. Although it is compact, the loft is very well equipped and has been newly refurbished. The cotton bedsheets and fluffy towels were especially appreciated. Amanda had provided some shortbread on arrival and a fine selection of teas. When I message her to say I needed a magnifying mirror, she appeared with one, in the blink of an eye! The Jolly Sportsman is a short walk away but a torch is provided for your stroll back along the country lane. Thank you for a very comfortable and peaceful stay Amanda.

A Perfect place to stay. Thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable, quiet environment to relax in. Everything we needed was provided. A few minutes walk takes you up on the Downs or to the town centre. Easy access to Brighton on the train.

When you drive down the country road onto the property you feel like you are in a movie or period drama. The pictures do not do the castle justice at all. Completely idyllic. Laura greets you with a huge warm smile and then will show you all around the castle. Meeting John was a pleasure, what an interesting man. Very lovely people and hosts. Even though people live on site, it feels very private. The living room is so cosy. Dreamy comfortable bed. Waking up to the wildlife sounds and water trickling was heaven. Laura provided a smashing breakfast in the main hall. Felt no rush to check out. Also we went by reviews, had dinner at the Star Inn and just wow! We cannot stop thinking about the mussels and steak. Incredible food! Also not far from Lewes for antiques. If you want to experience some magic for a weekend this is such a special place to stay. It was a pleasure and thank you for such a special memory. Laura and John you are both wonderful, amazing communication. Thank you again.

Bull Pen has been one of our best experiences with Airbnb. It's a shame we didn't have more time to spend there. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, spacious and had everything we needed, even delicious brownies and milk waiting for us. The surrounds were amazing! It was so cool to open up the curtains and see the beauty of the lake right in front of us. Exploring the woods behind us was delightful! We highly recommend it and will really consider visiting again, in the near future.

I stayed at Michelle’s property for 3 nights. I would 100% recommend and personally will be staying here again! Parking outside and if not available then there is a pub (almost opposite) that has adequate parking if you purchase something from inside. The property was clean, had all the amenities and was just a dream to stay in with no complaints. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was also great. Walkable distance to restaurants/shops. Michelle was very helpful and rang me on the day of booking (same day as arrival) to guide me through the check in process. Overall, a great stay!

we had a great stay at Penny's annexe, it really suited our needs as it was private, in a peaceful location but really near to Brighton where we were visiting family and friends.

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa's place over the new year period. The house is homely, well-equipped and very comfortable. There are plenty of walks that you can start from the doorstep, we explored the South Downs Way and we also enjoyed visiting Lewes which was a short drive away. Lisa had great suggestions for walks and places to eat.
