The cabin was a fantastic and peaceful stay. We spent time there to rest and recharge, and were happy to stay in and read while tending to the fire. The cabin was really cozy. Victor was incredibly friendly and helped us feel right at home. He is an incredible host. We ordered Victor’s rabbit stew and breakfast in the morning. All of it was fantastic, the best part might’ve been the freshly baked bread. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy escape in the winter months.

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

Superb place , waterfront, amazing view, very quiet neighbourhood, super clean and excellent furniture

First of all, these hosts were very communicative and very nice. We even got a tour of the studio and it was beyond beautiful! Now to the actual stay, 10/10 AMAZING! It was so quiet and peaceful and the views were great, and the little “cabin” was so homey and pretty. It was such a great stay! We had an absolute blast staying with them!

our family book this place over the Christmas holidays and we'll we waited for a new baby to come. the place was close to local food spots and with in 40 min drive to all ottawa has to offer. this was a perfect spot for us as we had family near by and our hospital was close. i would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay . The cottage was very clean and well appointed. It was also very well decorated for the holidays. Communication with hosts was easy and efficient. I would highly recommend this beautiful spot .

We had the most memorable family get together at Genie's stay in Iroquois. The place exceeded our expectations. We were dazzled by the charm of the site and the warmth of this heritage house. Conveniences galore, fun for everyone, lots of space, comfortable accomodations, amazing views, great communication with the hosts. This one is at the top of our list for future gatherings! Thanks so much for setting the stage for our memories that will last for decades !

I highly recommend this place! Both the spa and sauna were fully functional, and the space itself is warm and spacious. The city is close by, and it’s just a 5-10 minute drive to the grocery store and gas station. The host, Eric, is incredibly polite and friendly. Everything was perfect when we arrived– everything was neat and the spa was set to the ideal temperature. During the second night, I accidentally changed something on the spa, but Eric quickly helped us over FaceTime. He responded very promptly and was super helpful. Eric also speaks perfect French, which was a huge plus for us since we're from Québec. For what we got, the price was unbelievably affordable—we would’ve easily paid double for a dull hotel room. Eric truly embodies the spirit of a real Canadian. This weekend was epic!
