“Tiny Cottage on the River”

Enjoy the Belle river right out the back door. Fish, kayak and enjoy the wildlife floating by. Historic downtown Marine City is a short 7 blocks. Enjoy the many quaint shops, antique stores and many restaurants. Dine on the St.Clair river and watch the freighters go by! Beach is 7 blocks away, too. This is a tiny home for 2-3 people no parties.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible vacation getaway, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we booked, the host's communication was top-notch, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The property itself is a gem. There are plenty of garage and parking spaces, which made it super convenient for our group. The neighborhood is friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of our stay. One of the highlights was having the lake canal water access. Also there was a new propane grill and fryer provided and the fish cleaning table was very convenientfor our group of fisherman. The decor of the home is stunning, with a beautiful beach feel that instantly put us in vacation mode. The amenities exceeded our expectations. Everything we needed was provided, and then some! From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy living spaces, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Overall, this Airbnb fit all of our needs.

We had an amazing time here. House was very comfortable and clean. Host very friendly and responsive to all questions. View of lake was great. Kids had a blast on their paddle boards. Great they had wells for our boat. Neighbors were very friendly. Restaurant Nextdoor was very good and closed most nights at 9, so was pretty quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

This was a little slice of heaven. We got exactly what we were looking for. The home was very warm and inviting. Carla was very responsive to any questions I had. I could not have had a better trip. On a side note, I strongly recommend trying the Schoolhouse Restaurant when you are on the island. You will not regret it. If you are looking for heaven, look no further and spend a little time at this wonderful home.

We stayed there for about a week in the winter. Loved sitting on the enclosed porch overlooking the water and watching, squirrels, water fowl, and freighters! Main floor is open, light, and airy. Lot's of place/seating to gather or sit separately. Bathrooms were small, but it was nice to have 2.5 to share.

We enjoyed our stay so much! Such a beautiful house and even more beautiful location. So relaxing just sitting on the back patio watching the iron ore ships go down the river. The small beach front was perfect for finding pieces of beach glass! It is the perfect choice for a place to stay and we look forward to our next trip!
