Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Spittal an der Drau District

We spent 2 nights in the vacation home Sunseitn. The house is large and well equipped. The view is fantastic and the area very quiet. We were received nicely and got a tour of the house. Everything was spotless clean and we have absolutely nothing negative to report. We would come back :-)

If you are looking for absolute peace and beatifull surroundings, while having stores and gas stations at 10 minures drive, this is it. House is authentic old-style as it appears in photos, which gives you great local feel, perfectly maintained and spotlesly clean. We stayed in January and had a lovely time, and during spring and summer there is even more available activites arround. Hosts are caring and responsive, they provide petfectly clear instructions and suggestions for the area. Great stay.

Sarah's place was very neat and clean. We were seven, including a dog, and found comfortable space and felt completely comfortable. A small downside was the somewhat cumbersome closing of the door in the middle bathroom. We were particularly impressed by the opportunity to hike directly from the house into the mountains and enjoy the fantastic view. Overall it was a wonderful vacation – we will be happy to come back! We had rented both houses for our team event. Both houses are modern and stylish. It was everything we needed in the house. The location and views are mega. Despite the location, everything can also be reached quickly by foot.

Delightful accommodation that exceeded our expectations, Vanessa was very accommodating and always helped with everything right away. Perfect mountain views, all perfectly prepared. The house was very cold at first, but after contacting the host, who responded immediately and adjusted the temperature was perfect. Thank you. ❤️

Great chalet in the immediate vicinity (5 minutes by car) to the ski slope St. Oswald/Brunnach, where there is ski rental, children's ski school/ski kindergarten and gastronomy directly on the slopes, as well as parking. We were there with two families in the New Year's week (4 adults, 4 children aged 4, 6, 8 and 9 years) and the house is exactly as described and very comfortable. Particularly noteworthy is that the house gets very warm (oven, partly underfloor heating), and there was always enough hot water for showering or bathing. We've experienced all of this differently. All service providers were super friendly, from the woman in the toll booth on the highway to the service in the restaurant despite rush hour. The ski kindergarten delighted our little one, so we could go full throttle on the slopes for a few hours in the morning (slope recommendation 20, 22 and 28 for carving for advanced skiers). We spent a wonderful 6 days here celebrating Christmas with three generations of the family. The house surpassed our expectations. Every room is spacious, cosy and flooded with light and fabulous views.

Beautiful quiet place. Heidi-Alm ski slopes are about 2 minutes by car. An ideal resort for small children. The chalet is fully equipped, everything was set up, we didn't miss anything. We loved our vacation and would love to come back for a summer vacation. Christine is a great host. We can only recommend to everyone and thank Christine very much for the beautiful winter break.

We had a traffic complication at check in and that's why we were driving late. It wasn't a problem either (we apologized on the phone). The hosts occupy the upper floors and welcomed us very warmly. They also prepared a welcome gift for us in the form of fresh food for breakfast and a Carinthian beer for refreshment along a strenuous journey. Throughout the stay, the hosts were very welcoming and gave us tips on local highlights. They are active people who like dogs (they have a brown labrador). They played with our dog. Hygienically, there was no overwhelming luxury and the location of the basement apartment was evident. Otherwise, absolutely perfect. Especially the layout. Two bedrooms and a living room from each of this room large french doors to the great garden that we had all at our disposal. At the end of the garden a typical mountain river with clean and cool water. We used it for bathing and splashing (just swimming in the stream). A kitchen fully equipped with dishes and an electric kettle. Coffee dripper. Toaster.

I have spent the last three months in this apartment and can only report positive things. The apartment is excellently equipped and offers everything you need to feel good. I was particularly impressed by the great view and the excellent location. The landlords are also extremely friendly, accommodating and available at all times, which made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, I felt completely comfortable here and I didn't miss anything. That's why I can recommend the apartment with a clear conscience. Thank you for this great place to stay!

We stayed in a spacious and very cozy apartment equipped with everything we needed. The access to the lake is great, there are two trampolines for children, stand up paddles and even a pedal boat to rent. Anton and Margot are two extremely gracious hosts who care a lot and have made a lot of things possible. We felt very comfortable in Haus Bichel and will definitely return. The nearest vacation is already booked. Thanks again to Margot and Anton!

Very beautiful apartment with a fantastic view. The host was beyond welcoming, waiting for our arrival and showing us around. Despite the slight language barrier, her warmth showed through. Had a great time despite having to leave a day earlier than expected due to a change in our travel plans.

Great place with a touch of history.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Ski bus in front of the door, you can also use the facilities of the hotel. Quiet atmosphere and the apartment has all the comforts. Excellent accommodation with great beds, not a moment regretted our booking!

The apartment is very nice and lovingly furnished. It has everything you need. The location is great for exploring Spittal and surrounding areas on foot. We had a very pleasant stay and will be happy to come back.

We spent 4 nights there as a 4-member family. We went to ski, the slopes are cca. 15-20 minutes far away. We enjoyed the warm apartment after skiing. It was very comfortable with two separate bedrooms and big kithen with table and all comforts you need (e.g. dishwasher and lots of plates and glasses etc) . Plus there was a livingroom with a big sofa also. The beds were super comfortable. There were two toilets. I think this apartment is comfortable for 6 people also. We travel a lot and we think this apartment is perfect.

Great place, central location. Super equipped for kids. The sofas are not really comfortable for sleeping for more than 2 nights. Therefore, the accommodation is perfect for 2 people.

We loved our stay here, as a family of 3, for a long weekend of skiing. The apartment is just the right size, with a breathtaking view. Close to the slopes and several restaurants. A huge bonus are the Spa + pool + kids pool at the Falkensteiner hotel that is connected to the building.

I really loved my stay here. Pavla was an excellent host, accommodating, and the place was very clean and in a good location. I’ll be back next year!
