Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Southport

Jeff was a wonderful host and his home is beautiful, clean, and quiet in the cute town of Hallowell, ME. The beds were comfy, we enjoyed the sauna, and my son was especially excited we were able to access his favorite shows on the tv #priorities! The location is also excellent to cute restaurants on the main strip in town! We wished we had time to enjoy the hot tub! Next time! Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful girl's trip staying in Diana's house! We walked to the beach and to Scratch bakery (twice). The house was perfect for the five of us with a great sitting area to hang out and chat. The house was clean and the instructions for cleaning up were easy to follow.

Great location, there was construction hear by but you couldn't really hear it. There is also a train that runs maybe a 1/4 mile behind the house, you can hear it a little bit but for us wasnt a problem with 3 children in the house.

This was absolutely the perfect spot to spend a cozy New Year's visit. The views all around are breathtaking and the house is set far back from the road and very quiet. And the house was absolutely pristine. If you are like me and are picky about your bedding I can assure you that you won't be disappointed! The mattresses and pillows were super comfy and the sheets were lovely! You will rest so well! Also - if you have the opportunity, definitely visit Reid State park. It's about 25 minutes away and absolutely worth the trip.

Cammie’s listing wad everything and more. My entire family was able to stay all together with the comfort of a warm welcoming house. Very spacious and the table in the great room was absolutely perfect to have a meal with everyone. My favorite part of this house was there there was only 1 TV in the whole house and many games and puzzles available to enjoy being with the family and not zoned to tv. What a great experience.

We loved our stay here! The house was adorable, cozy and clean and the close location to Freeport and Portland was so convenient! Lots of areas to hike with dogs close by. We loved every minute!

This was our 4th year staying at Sandy Cove to celebrate Christmas with our entire family. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate overnight stays. We love the 2 dining room tables and refrigerators. We had a small issue with a clog in the kitchen sink. I reached out to Mike and he sent someone over to fix it within a few hours. We hope to stay again next year!

Susan’s home was perfect for our long weekend in Portland. We could easily walk everywhere and lots of great shops, restaurants and bars very close. Her home was very comfortable and a nice large space for us to all enjoy!! Also her home was located in a great neighborhood!! We would definitely come back again!!

Margaret is an extremely pleasant host. Our experience couldn't have been better from booking thru checkout. Our stay completely met our expectations and was perfect for our family of 4 (all grown individuals) and our dog. Everything was quiet and peaceful during this stay. I think there were downstairs neighbors in the building that were quiet and respectful. For 4 adults, this space was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Location, location, location! Diane's place is right in the heart of Belfast, making it easy to walk wherever you want in town. Diane communicated promptly and with great details before we arrived, making checking a breeze. We loved the charm of the apartment and would definitely stay here again.

We felt instantly at home at Ian’s place. It’s inviting and warm and decor is just the right amount of funky and cool. It was comfortable for four people. It makes a great home base for Portland.

I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Portland! The apartment was adorable, very clean and in a perfect location. Alex had an entire list of recommendations that we found very helpful! We will definitely be back!

Sharon was super flexible with us. We booked her place the day of because a big snow storm was coming into town. Ended up getting over a foot of snow during our stay. We actually had a different Air B&B reservation in the area that we couldn’t cancel so we decided to go to Portland a day early in an effort to avoid traveling in the storm. That plan didn’t quite work. Blizzard was so bad that we still didn’t arrive until 2am. The next morning, we couldn’t get our car out of the driveway, so we were able to get another night here (after the previous reservation canceled). Throughout our hectic visit, Sharon made our stay easier to handle by being proactive and responsive. Would highly recommend!

Loved the condo and its location! Parked the car and never had to use it all weekend…everything within walking distance. Incredible views…watching the sunrise and lobster boats head out while sipping coffee was a highlight. Always something interesting to look at. Would definitely stay again.

Kevin is a fabulous host. He is very kind, responsive and attentive. A couple of items needed his attention soon after we arrived at his Airbnb, and he responded and resolved them promptly. The location is perfect! It is quiet in the wintertime and ideal for the beach and shopping access in the summer. There is a small amusement park close by and just about anything else you could need. It's my opinion that Kevin's location is the best place to stay at Old Orchard Beach! We enjoyed our incredible view of the ocean - watching its beauty change from moment to moment, and the accommodations had everything we needed - a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, nice decor and cozy surroundings. We loved our time at Kevin's place and look forward to staying there again soon!

Gerry's place was perfect for our stay in Portland. My 3 adult children and I had plenty of room. The house is close to the Old Port, the highway and other Maine points of interest. We were close to our relatives' house for Thanksgiving! I would highly recommend Gerry's place!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Alyssa’s place for our anniversary and we really enjoyed our experience. The place was cozy, clean, and within a minute walk to the beach! Alyssa was a great host and always responded quickly. Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed at Dave’s condo a couple of times now. Each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is in such a wonderful location in South Portland and Dave is very communicative and friendly with anything we may need. Definitely recommend a stay if you’re looking to check out the Portland area and enjoy some beach time while you’re at it!
