JonRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a great stay at Nico and Sarah's. Great location and place was as advertised. They even had beach supplies for us to enjoy. Loved watching and listening the waves roll in. We totally recommend staying at Nico and Sarah's. Close to all the action of Kona but not too close which was perfect for us. Hoping to stay here again one day!

Super Clean~A+ Location~Remodeled~Ocean Front View

JohnRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We spent 12 wonderful days in this beautiful condo on the water. The most relaxing peaceful aspect of the condo was the sound of the ocean waves at night as you fell asleep. The condo was sparkling clean, and well equipped. Highly recommend and would definitely entertain going back in the future. Mahalo

Lawai'a Sea Lodge - Cottage - Hosted

NoraRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The setting of this house is spectacular, right in Kealakekua Bay. You can see the Captain Cook monument in the distance (we kayaked there from the property). The host provides literally everything that you could possibly need to explore the bay: kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel equipment, etc., and you can do all of this right from their own (rocky) shoreline. The house was well appointed with everything that we needed for the stay. We were glad that we had the cottage so we were separated from the other rentals. It felt private. If you stay in the summer it does get HOT in the house during the day, even with the use of their provided fans, but it cools off enough at night to get a restful sleep. Also, there is a rooster nearby, which didn't bother us East Coast early risers. It's a long drive from the main route down to this property. We recommend stopping at the local honey farm that you pass on the drive down. You'll see their products sold all over the Island.

black sand beach house, ocean views, swim spa/pool

JacobRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was an awesome place! We loved our stay here and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip around the island. We were planning on getting out and doing more in Hilo while here, but decided to skip it and spend more time at the house and the beach.

Two Beach Park homes in Hilo's best location.

EstherRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We stayed 4 days here with extended family in the smaller home on the same property and it was great. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (larger group was 10 total) to spread out. The best part was the beach across the road with good snorkeling (stronger currents so be careful) and lagoon with turtles. Plenty of outdoor gear to borrow- SUP, kayaks, small boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel/fins. Would definitely stay here again.

Penthouse 2-Bed Snorkeling Delight Kahaluu Beach

HeleneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our family of 6 was a bit cozy but quite comfortable in this 2 bedroom unit with views of snorkeling and surfing beaches. We enjoyed the small but uncrowded pool area and the location directly across the busy main drag from Kahalu'u snorkeling beach. High surf limited our use of the beaches directly adjacent, but you can't beat the location for getting in the water when conditions are right. There was some traffic and lifeguard noise during the day, but nights were quiet and peaceful. The ice maker acted up during our visit, and James and the local team were extremely responsive to the situation (which was in no way their fault). We really felt the hosts cared about us as guests. The guest expectations for this unit are a bit more than the average - we were expected to do more clean-up and laundry than past rentals - but we found these small tasks well worth accommodating our group of 6 and especially the extra effort made to allow us an early check-in upon arrival in Kona.

Oceanfront Condo/Hawaiian Style. 1Bd, w/AC & Wifi

ColleenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Terry has done it again! This was our second year staying at Terry’s well equipped and beautiful condo. Again we enjoyed daily whale watching right on the beach as well as sea turtles feeding on the shoreline. You will be in need of nothing at Terry’s hideaway as he has truly thought of every guests’ needs. In fact Terry reached out to us prior to our arrival offering to pick up anything we needed as we had a late flight. Our flight going home didn’t leave until late at night and Terry allowed us to check out late as well! Mahalo again Terry. Stay blessed 🌺😌

Oceanfront! Spectacular 2BR/2BA w Pool & Hot Tub

BrookeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Brad is an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make our stay in Keaau unforgettable. He graciously accommodated a late check-out and provided incredible recommendations ahead of our trip—many of which we wouldn’t have discovered without his local knowledge. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with thoughtful artistic touches that make it feel truly special. The tranquil koi pond, beautiful pool, and relaxing hot tub were exactly as described, and the comfortable beds made for a restful stay. If we could give this place more than five stars, we absolutely would!

Tropical Oasis Home with Pool and Steps to Beach

JuliaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our family's stay at Joe and Anna's home was excellent and perfectly set up for our three-generation group to enjoy a relaxing stay. The home has ample and comfortable indoor/outdoor communal space, was super clean, and is kept cool by fans throughout (and AC in bedrooms). Joe and Anna are very responsive hosts and have really thought about all the details. We really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches that made it super easy for us to explore the island (snorkelling gear, beach towels, chairs, and more) and the well-stocked kitchen. It was great to be in such a quiet and convenient location, with easy access to the nearby shopping centre with a grocery store and restaurants, and beaches/activities. This property is a real gem, and we hope to come back again!

Oceanfront near Surf Beach with Pool & Sauna

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

Steps to Beaches, 2 King Suites, Private Pool, AC

AnthonyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This was the perfect place for our family to stay during our time in the big island. Everything in the photos and written description was exactly as described. The amenities were great. Loved all the spaces within the home. We love how detailed oriented the hosts are from the labeling of instructions around the home, to the QR codes they created on how to operate certain kitchen appliances. Really nice hosts. Really responsive and gave great recommendations on local spots to visit. One thing to note is that they are correct in the description on indicating that it’s a really tight driveway to get to the garage. If you’re driving an SUV, I would strongly suggest just parking on the street. Arrived when it was dark, so it was a little difficult to spot the place. Just remember it’s the second house on the left when you make that turn on Manuakai St Thank you for helping make this family trip a resounding success!

Oceanfront gated estate w/heated saltwater pool.

KailaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Very beautiful home and lots of room for many people to stay. Host is very responsive with any questions/concerns. Very clean as well with lots of things you may need such as beach towels, cooler, water toys etc. Location is very private as well if that's what you're looking for. Just fyi it is ocean front but you cannot get to the ocean from location in case you are looking for that. You can see whales if you look closely which was very cool! Overall great stay for our first time using Airbnb!

Kona Dolphin and Whale House. Alii Drive

SunidaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We could not have wished for a more perfect home for our top short stay. We wanted to stay there months and months longer if possible. The house was very well stocked and the owner has thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The view of the most perfect cove is just a gem to wake up to everyday. We could snorkel and surf right in front of the home. There’s an awesome poke place within walking distance. This home is perfect.

Hot tub, jungle house, walk to swim beach

KathleenRating, 5 stars3 days ago
If you love being away from the hubbub of a city, this is the place for you. The house is spacious and the setting feels jungle-like, but manicured. The ocean is nearby, an easy walk to a beautiful overlook. The climb down to the black sand beach is a bit treacherous, but manageable if you are agile. Be aware though, it is a clothing-optional beach! The village of Pāhoa has great coffee, many vegan and gluten-free food options.

Oceanfront Bungaloha (2023 Remodel on the Water)

LizaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Overall we loved our stay here! Such a cool experience to have the ocean (and lava rock cliffs) right in front of your house, feel the aves crushing, to grill literally on top of lava rocks :) The deck is huge, kitchen is large and well stocked as well. One note about getting into water: there is in fact, water access, literally 1 minute walk away from the house. But if you are not a strong swimmer or get intimidated by the ocean and waves you might not want to (and should not) get into water. Water access is through climbing down rocks (very quick few steps down) and then jumping straight into water and the gorgeous reef right there. I was a professional swimmer but I still not have gotten into water if I didn’t see a bunch of local divers (and kids too!) get in. So it’s definitely possible to get into water, just be very mindful of the waves and don’t mind a bit of a rocky climb up and down :)

Pali Hale - Epic Hawaii Oceanfront Experience

DonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The place was amazing. Exactly as shown and can easily be used by two couples with full amenities on both floors. The secluded area, ambiance and just leaving the patio doors open with the constant sounds of the ocean is just awesome. And within easy driving of volcanoes national park, black sand beaches, waterfalls, great local food, etc, just great. Very much worth what we paid and then some. And the host is unbelievably available if you run into any issues or concerns. We accidentally left a wallet behind and they went above and beyond to get it sent back to us. Cannot recommend more highly!

OCEANFRONt 3+2.5 AC Oceanfront Pool King Beds

KatherineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Worked really for family of five, pool was short walk from condo. We played a lot of cards on the outside table, lovely view. Was toasty when we walked in, but AC took less than 30 minutes to cool down the whole space. Ceiling fans in bedrooms was nice. Kitchen well stocked, plus laundry detergent, dish soap, TP, extra towels, beach towels- made it easy. The complex is older and right on the ocean, so normal wear and tear- this unit is well maintained. Coming up the stairs was a bit tight with luggage because of the chair lift, but no problem. Parking easy and close- across from condo front door. Complex is quiet, almost sleepy. Pool was well attended, but we had no problem getting chairs and tables. Shopping right across the main road with grocery, few shops and restaurants, super convenient for family stay- and we used the Dolphin Discovery boat tour which happened to leave from right there as well, happy coincidence. Great spot to use as base to explore west side of the island.

Oceanfront Balinese Estate w/Hot tub@Kehena beach

KevinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an amazing stay at this truly unique home! Built in Bali and shipped to Hawaii, the house is a masterpiece of wood craftsmanship, blending traditional Balinese architecture with the natural beauty of its surroundings. The intricate open-air design, and thoughtfully curated details made it feel like a tropical retreat unlike any other. The atmosphere was both peaceful and inspiring, with plenty of space to relax and take in the stunning private environment. Everything was well-maintained, and the hosts were welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind experience with cultural charm, this is the place to be. We would absolutely love to return!

Our stay at the Townhouse was wonderful. We love the location. It's by the beach, grocery store and restaurants. Shone provides everything you need for a day at the beach. The dryer quit working so we contacted property management and they had a new one in the next day. Great service.
