Holiday rentals with a pool in South Italy

Staying at Carlo's house is a truly organic experience of what the Airbnb idea is. It is not a place focused on making money, but a real Italian home that allows you to feel the Italian atmosphere, people and their hospitality. The apartment is fantastically located - with a view of the historic city, and from the terrace you can watch the changing sea landscape all day long. The hosts make sure that you feel comfortable in their home. An additional advantage is the equipment of the fridge - we arrived late in the evening and did not have to worry about what to eat because Carlo and his parents made sure that our fridge was full (there was also the famous cake made of local ingredients!) Our dog was also delighted because he could run around the slopes of the vineyard and the hosts were very understanding. On the day of departure, the dog did not want to leave the apartment (just like us!) This is probably the best proof of this place. We will definitely be happy to come back!

We had a lovely stay over the Christmas period after travelling in our camper for the last 7 months this was a nice reset for us. The house was as described the host was responsive, we were met by his Mum and sister who were very friendly and accommodating. His Mum even bought us over some burek which was delicious. Just a couple of small points, there didn’t seem to be a dryer as stated in the amenities listing, and we couldn’t seem to get the hot water to work in the kitchen (not sure if it was something we were doing or not). Other than that a lovely stay. Thanks

Mihovil was a great host.. when we had queries regarding the villa he answered promptly and concisely. Our pool was cleaned during our stay and we were asked each time when it would be convenient for us so as not to disturb our use. He was friendly and informative and the villa had clear instructions of do’s and don’ts for guests which were easy to follow. The villa also contained a useful travel guide for tourists visiting Dubrovnik which also covered other trips to surrounding islands. There was additional bedding, blankets, towels & pool towels available and a very useful washing machine. Mihovil has thought of everything including a supply of mosquito repellents for indoor and outdoor use. The villa is very well equipped and there is an outdoor barbecue for guests to use.. We would definitely recommend the villa if you wanted to use somewhere peaceful just outside of the old town but bear in mind the local supermarket or shops are a short bus/ car / taxi ride away. We

Staying at the villa of Roberto was an amazing experience. We were able to use the bbq and the pizza oven to get the real Sicilian feeling. Roberto was very warm and welcome and always available to anwer our questions. Thanks Roberto!

This is a luxury gem hidden away in a tranquil location. The only minus off season was that most restaurants <30 minutes away were closed (October) otherwise this place is magic, clean, newly refurbished, has all necessary amenities, incredibly private and has excellent hosts and goat farmer neighbors ;)

Everything great except that one bathroom had hair in the shower, and there was no shower gel in any of the bathrooms. We only stayed one night so we didn't mind that much.

Our hosts were fantastic. The location was on aggro Turismo site very quiet and peaceful yet 10 minutes by car into Ostuni. Our location was central to several of the beautiful historical towns all within a 30 minute driving range. If you’re looking for a great location for the family that is just outside of town yeah close enough to go and visit all the historical sites, this is a place the outdoor kitchen with the beautiful stone courtyard was magnificent and peaceful

The apartment was spacious, very clean and the view from the very large deck was amazing. Check in was a breeze as we were given clear instructions on how to get to the parking garage. Francesca was extremely communicative and always ready to help. The town was a few minutes walk away and there were many good restaurants and shops here.

This apartment is amazing! The location is perfect for exploring Sorrento. It is located just outside of the tourist area, so there are many local places nearby. Ikura Sushi and Benvenuti in Casa were top picks for us! The views from the dining area and the terrace were spectacular. We even saw fireworks one night! Graziano greeted us at the apartment and was very helpful. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stock and even without an oven we were able to reheat our pizza on the stove top. If we return to Sorrento, we will definitely stay with Graziano again!

Fantastic spot, incredible view over the north side of the coast line. The apartment itself is wonderful and accommodating, and the balcony cannot be beat. Silvia was a wonderful and accommodating host. The location: This apartment is on the north side of the ridge that Taormina sits on. The good part is that this means you can drive right up to the apartment complex and park your car for free in the garage. That's very valuable in Taormina since there's no car access in the city. The downside is that there's 8 half-staircases and a large hill going up into the main town. My 75 year old mother managed it, but it's a little bit of a hike. Still, it's a worthwhile tradeoff for such a wondeful, private spot with an incredible view, free parking, plenty of space, and easy access to the city. You may also be able to find a ride up to the top of the hill but we just walked. I would absolutely stay again. Thank you Silvia!

Very nice house, free parking. I think it is a lovely accommodation during the summer with the garden. We stayed at the end of October and the place was a little damp. Overall everything was good.

Great location and a great place to stay.

Ivana was such an incredible host. Our flight was delayed which meant arriving after midnight. Ivana was able to greet us and even offered to pick us up from the airport if we couldn’t get a taxi. This is way above and beyond a regular host. Thank you so so much. The apartment was perfect for our needs (2 adults, 3 kids) with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The balcony over looking Cavtat was beautiful. Short walk to the harbour, 10 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes to Dubrovnik by car or boat. Ideal location. Thank you so very much!

Most magical place in Rome. Perfect if you want a peaceful getaway inside Rome. The house fell like something out of history book and the art inside was also beautiful. Loved every detail that Svilena has put in the house, you can really see that this place is so well taken care of. Everything was spotless and so cozy and it really sets itself apart from other Airbnb’s as it felt like an actual home. Svilena was very responsive and the communication through out the stay was smooth and easy. <3

Guilia's place is spectacular! It's better than the photos with gorgeous views of the sea, mountains, city and even Calabria in the distance. The grounds are immaculate with a huge private terrace for meals and drinks and a massive pool that feels like your own private resort. Giulia's family lives in the other units and were always friendly and helpful but not intrusive in the least. Even Papaya the dog knew when to leave us to ourselves lol! The interior is pristine and spacious. As many have pointed out the town center is about a 10-15 minute walk away. So you are very close to all the restaurants and shops but away from the tourist hordes. Taormina is hilly but most of the walk is relatively flat. Traffic is not a worry, we did not encounter much of it on our walks. Also, Italian drivers, although speedy, are careful and well aware of pedestrians. Giulia is a fantastic host, always quick to provide recommendations and respond to our questions. Wish we could have stayed forever!

Our stay at the River House was great. It was surrounded by nature and very private. Katarina was very helpful and responsive. Her mom treated us with some of her specialties and they were delicious. There were a few beaches around that we visited. Dubrovnik was about 15 minutes drive from there and it’s always nice to visit. I would recommend the river house for a summer vacation,

Extraordinary house, extremely tasteful rooms with an own bathroom each. The best was the lovely housekeeper Lucia, who was always there to help.

Villa palamara is an absolutely stunning piece of Francesco’s family heritage and it has been an honor to be able to stay there. The terrace overlooking the ocean as well as the kitchens are most remarkable and we have really enjoyed cooking and enjoying our breakfast, lunch and dinner on there terrace . In general, the kitchen is the most well equipped we have ever visited through airbnb and the place was very clean. It felt luxurious being there and we hope to come again soon! The host Francesco is also very friendly and easy to communicate with.

A perfect Villa in a perfect location! It’s a 15 walk down to Sorrento(20 mins back up the hill) which we found very convenient versus taking the car. The beautiful Villa was excellent, highlights included a wonderful outdoor area with flowers/garden, a great big pool and a very nice kitchen. The bedrooms were huge/comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes their privacy, it was extremely quiet here, but it’s also close to amenities like groceries, shopping, etc. The local restaurant Colle Di Sorrento, a 5 minute walk from the Villa, is a must if you like authentic local food, including pizza. Luigi was a fantastic host, always available to answer any questions and also very helpful with directions, recommendations, etc. Luigi also went above and beyond when our plans changed due to weather issues, he was the best host! 10+ stay!

Already in advance, Agostino responded to queries in record time and even a small change of dates was not an issue. Rita and Pino have taken care of ours on site. We will keep the fresh salad from the garden in the best memory. The apartment itself is as described and seen in the photos, also the magnificent view from the terrace where we could enjoy the morning sun. In November not unimportant if the nights in Sicily get a little cooler: the apartment was well heated. And when Pino showed me that the heating is operated with shredded olive kernels and almond bowls, I was thrilled with this CO2-neutral heating. In short: We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Settefrati.

A beautiful place to explore wider Puglia from. Great host. Would return. Situated just north of Porto Cesareo. Car essential with parking space inside secure perimeter walls. Most sights were 45-90 minute drive. Modern, clean with comfortable furnishings and beds. Well equipped kitchen. Self-catered: 20 mins to nearest Lidl. Short drive to reach restaurants (10 minutes). End of October still warm and sunny in daytime (shorts, t-shirt and slides). Able to swim in small pool (very refreshing though ☺️) and in the sea at nearby beach (5 mins walk: sandy and shallow). Arrived after a severe rain so suffered more with mosquitoes outside which stopped us sitting out in the evenings sadly. Solar-powered hot water very limited (max 2 very short showers). No hot water from kitchen tap. Immersion heater did not seem to get temperature past tepid even after a couple of hours. Would be less of an issue in high summer. Out of season largely was silent around (beach club noise one evening).

Elodies villa was exactly as described and perfect for a family holiday. The seperate buildings enabled everyone some privacy and outdoor living area by the pool both functional and flexible. The hosts were very responsive and responded almost instantly to any question. We took the recommendation to bring in Massimo Mancarella as our personal chef for our final farewell dinner and he is an amazing chef, preparing our best meal of our trip. Such a nice way to end our Puglia holiday dining outdoors together being treated with an amazing meal and service.
