Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in South Hero

We had a great 3 night stay for a family ski trip to Stowe. The place was much nicer than the pictures give it credit for! Felt pretty updated and we loved the art/decor. The 2 br and 2 full baths are on the 2nd floor. Our kids stayed in the br with 2 smaller twins (beds perfect for smaller kids & fit our middle schooler, but beds likely not big enough for taller adults/teens!). AirBNB was stocked with games, and we didn't have time for the pool/hot tub, but was a quick drive through the parking lot. We bought food at the organic grocery a few minutes away for snacks/breakfasts, but had lunch/dinner out. Piecasso and Idyletime were both great meals and only a few minute drive away. We ended up driving to the mountain and (paid) parking wasn't an issue in the mornings, but over the holidays, parking filled up at the main lots by afternoon. The shuttle bus is a close walk, but parking at the resort was surprisingly easy. Thank you!! Would definitely recommend!!

Everything about our stay was great! The beds, rooms, kitchenware, location, etc.—all of the needs were met for our group of 15. We were here for a ski trip to Stowe. Dillon and Sam were responsive and helpful in answering the questions we had about the place leading up to the stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Kathleen’s house very much. There were 6 of us; my family and my brother’s. The house was very cozy with an open kitchen and living room space with high ceilings. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and many things we didn’t expect like breakfast foods, coffee, etc. The two bathrooms were both spotless and had lots of nice soft towels. The outdoor furniture was very nice and new and the property is private and nicely maintained. A few of us also enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake directly across the street. We were attending a family reunion at a house on the same street so the location was extremely convenient. We liked this house so much we would like to book again for our future reunions.

The place was perfect for 2 couples looking to spend a weekend in the beautiful Adirondack trails. If you want to save on food (cook by yourself I mean) and be within a 25min drive of everything, this is perfect. Thanks Vinny!

Lovely stay! We would come back. Easily accommodated 6 of us with loads of room to spread out. Comfy beds, clean, stylish, gorgeous neighborhood. Lovely lovely!!!

The apartment was beautiful with high ceilings, spacious rooms and plenty of windows with great views of the river. It is on the main street in Hardwick. Which means there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shopping. There is plenty to do and see. Hill Farmstead brewery is nearby with great mountain views fantastic beer and the Lamoille valley rail trail goes right through the center of Hardwick. We walked along the snow covered trail to a nearby bridge over the Lamoile. The front seat cafe was a favorite of ours for breakfast sandwiches and pastries and it's right below the apartment. Claudia was a gracious host. She called us prior to our arrival to answer any questions and we bumped into here in the hallway's and had a great chat about the history of the building.

Peggy’s place is the best!!!! This is our 5th year & we already booked for 2/26!!!!! Very centrally located, & only 20 minutes to Whiteface!!!!! Peggy is a true local who has great suggestions & is also very responsive!!!! Stayed there in summer as well as winter though winter is my favorite! Lake Placid + Peggy’s house = a great time!!!!!

My wife and I stayed in Angela’s studio apartment in February. This place is a hidden gem!!! The space was amazing and deceptively spacious. We were welcomed with a snack basket into a cozy kitchen with all the amenities. The bathroom was modern, spacious and beautiful!!! The view of the lake outside our door was a classic winter scene. Angela was is constant communication throughout our stay answering all of our questions. Angela is an amazing host!! We can’t wait to go back to her place and enjoy more Lake Placid adventures.

We had a lovely stay. Sues apartment was cozy, clean, tastefully decorated, and organized. Sue was super helpful and gave recommendations for hikes in the area and they even cleared snow off our car after the storm in the morning. We felt right at home - would definitely come back:)

Beautiful place to stay! Hosts were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Amazing value for the price! Just outside of the city but close enough to explore and discover many hidden gems. Would definitely recommend!

Great “home away from home” for a visit. I’m no longer used to freezing weather and appreciate that it was warm when I arrived and not drafty, and the bed and couch had pleasant blankets.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect. The view from the condo of the lake is beautiful. We loved being able to use the amenities at the High Peaks Resort. We walked each night into town for dinner. The living space is very comfortable and the bedrooms were also comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first trip to Smuggler’s Notch and it was everything we hoped for. The condo was cozy, comfy and clean, with a well-appointed kitchen that allowed us to prepare family meals each day. You are walking (or skiing) distance from everything- it’s all accesible and easy (we didn’t use our car the entire time we were there). James reached out to see if we needed anything and always communicated with needed info ahead of when I looked for it. Fantastic place, fantastic host. We will be back!

Cathy’s place is cozy and beds very comfortable! We loved the gas fireplace, plenty of towels, and hot water. Kitchen had what you needed. Recreational center with indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness area are great to visit as well. Close to the mountain and grocery/sandwich shop.

Fantastic condo to rent. Kitchen is well appointed (we LOVED having well-stocked coffee!) and all sleeping arrangements worked great. Cannot beat proximity to Stowe/Mt. Mansfield and to restaurants/bars.

Great stay. We skied for two days at Stowe. Josh’s place was perfect for us and our kids to have a great ski week. Kids loved the hot tub!

Very comfortable stay - convenient to ski wither Sugarbush or Mad River. Philip sent specific instructions for turning the heat up on arrival. It took a little while to warm up, but individual thermostats in LR and BR worked nicely. Local recommendations for restaurants and such were spot on.

This was the perfect place for a ski getaway at Smuggs for our family of four. The condo has easy access to the Village lift (and shops/restaurants) on Morse mountain and enabled us to take midday breaks from skiing to warm up and have lunch. Cara was super responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. Excellent overall value. 10/10.
