The Crest - A Tiny House with a Big View

YvetteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place is perfect. The little details, the thoughtfulness of the host, the views, the location: it was all perfect. We needed a break away with our dog, and Leah provided clear and friendly instructions for everything in the house, and a way to easily get in touch with her, and then left us to it. We loved every moment of our stay.

Boutique Alpine Mountain Home - Jindabyne

FredRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This home is fantastic. Scott and Samantha set the tone from the being in responding to all messages quickly, with detail, and in a friendly and relaxed way. You can tell they take pride in sharing their home with others. The location in East Jindy is perfect. Only a five minute drive into town, the home is close to lakefront access, and is peaceful -you can’t notice the road behind the property while you are enjoying the big back yard, which my dog loved playing in as it was securely fenced. The large sofas in the living room are perfect for movie nights, and the bedrooms are private and have amazing linen. The ceiling fans made sleeping in the December/January heat no issue. We didn’t make use of the pizza oven, but can’t wait to on our next return. The covered outdoor eating area means you can enjoy the space no matter the weather. Plenty of space for a large group, or families.

Our 3 night stay at Maureen's Place was great. Everything we needed was there. We loved spending the mornings in the sun room out the back. Definitely recommend this accommodation for an Adaminaby stay.

Mountain High - Snow

SebastianRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Catch’s place was fab, we had such a great time and our dog Mack loved it too. So quiet with lots of kangaroos, deer and bunnies. It was the perfect circuit breaker. Far enough out of town to be out of the suburbs but close enough to be no trouble to go in and out of town. We loved it and will be back. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Tumbarumba Creek Cottage

ShariRating, 5 stars1 month ago
In the end we didn’t stay at the property listed as there was an issue with the property maintenance so we were upgraded and moved closer to Tumbafest. Communication was good with Melissa throughout the process of moving. All good with a very enjoyable weekend in Tumbarumba.

Hillview Farmstay - The Lodge

HungRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We stop at Ruth's place on our road trip from Sydney to Melbourn. We were very impressed with how clean the cottage is. The cottage is well designed for a big group with in-suite in each bedroom and a big living area. There are also a lot of things to do at the farm. Highly recommended for family travel with children.

Great place to stay for a half way point between Melbourne and Sydney. Especially travelling with a dog. After a long drive it was awesome to have the gardens to walk around and pool to cool off . Plus the care takers were very responsive for any requests.

This was a terrific stop for our family travelling with two children and dog between Sydney and Melbourne. We loved our little cabin and the pool, and feeding the animals in the morning - Donna the farm manager was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and love to stay here again.

Hillview Farmstay - Glamping Safari Tent (Cub)

KateRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We stayed here with our 2 young children who upon arrival were immediately blown away by the friendly goats. We enjoyed 1 night glamping on our way up to Canberra from Melbourne. We cooked some local meat on our bbq while enjoying some local chardonnay. Meat and wine were all purchased through the accommodation and ready for us on arrival. The onsite manager, Donna, was ready for us the next morning at 8.30am to feed the animals and the children had a blast with Donna while learning all about farm animals. Thank you very much Donna - this will be a lasting memory for family.

Corryong Cottage and Bungalow

KyleRating, 5 stars64 months ago
Is there an award for best Host in 2019? I booked a 3 nights stay, but sadly the Corryong surrounding region became overrun with bushfires on day 2. However, Judi was in regular contact, keeping my updated on the situation as it unfolded - her husband was thankfully a local volunteer fireman. By 1am on night 2, the fires had advanced and were now only a few kms from the cottage I was staying in. Judi called insisting that I abandon the house and relocate to their house in town. For all the wrong reasons, it's an experience I will not forget; 35-40 degrees heat + 45km p/h winds were pushing the fire over the hills on the horizon and directly towards us at a much greater speed than I thought possible for fires. My entire stay, Judi and her husband showed the warmest hospitality you could ask for. Salt of the earth types. Would literally give you the shirt off their backs. Sadly, by 4am I was encouraged by Judi's husband to jump in my car with my dog - he gave me detailed directions on my phone around how to take the backroads up the mountains and around the fires. I knew they'd already lost one house further out of town, so the situation was feeling very real. It was difficult leaving them there, but a wall of fire was coming straight at us and he said that they'd be staying until as late as possible to protect the house. Obviously a frightening experience for everyone, but one that I'll actually remember mostly for the kindness shown by strangers during a very challenging time.

Sabinas home was perfect, we had 4 adults, 1 child and a pup. The yard is 90% secure, we left our pup in a crate when we went to the snow and at night, just to have that piece of mind. The home is perfectly located, within walking distance to the local shop, but also far enough that there is hardly any traffic. The home is great, rooms are spacious, the common areas are all tiled, it is a great place to stay. From here to Selwyn is probably about 45mins or so, of beautiful scenery. A wonderful place to stay, and a really helpful host.

Rose Cottage – 2 bdrm on 5 acres

JulieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a wonderful time in Rose Cottage. The house was everything we needed for our family of 5 and dog. Kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom/laundry pristine. The bedrooms were a good size with ample linen and blankets to suit any temperature. We enjoyed roaming the property and exploring the rocks, with many local wildlife visiting throughout our stay. Plan on booking again next year.

Avonside Alpine Estate 1 - Jindabyne

XinyunRating, 5 stars31 months ago
Olivier always responds quickly to our questions. Easy communication. He gave a quick instructions on how to use the cabin when we arrived so a recommendation is to update your ETA with him. Though the place does not have aircon or heater, the cabin is hydronically heated and keeps the room temp warm even in cold winter. No need to worry about feeling cold indoor at all. The cabin is well-designed to be environmental friendly. We are glad to stay at a place like this. Highly recommended!!! The cabin is 20mins away from Jindabyne and about 40mins to the Perisher Valley. You can stop by Jindabyne for food/supplies, and all ski related rental stuff.

Comara Jindabyne Unit 2

RachelRating, 5 stars7 months ago
For peak season Phillip's place was priced better than most in the area. The location was so close to restaurants and Woolies etc. The unit was cosy, beds comfy and lounge room a great size for all of us to relax. Phillip was very easy to deal with - when we return to the snow in a few years I will definitely see if it's available again.
