Farmstay holiday rentals in Sintra

It was what we expected. The bathroom was a bit dirty, but I guess that’s a lot due to individual visitors not cleaning up after themselves. Overall short but fine stay. Thanks.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Eduardo and Gabriela’s house. They were perfect hosts, kind, warm and extremely flexible. The house is close to the most beautiful beaches around Ericeira. We would certainly recommend a stay here!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay and relax. It is not a residence like a hotel with excellent service, rather than that, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind, aiming for getting away from noisy and cheesy city style.

Such a cute little town and really neat estate. The views are amazing from the pool. It was a 15 min walk downhill to the beach where there’s a little restaurant. Lots of dogs and roosters in the area so sounds of nature might wake you vs sounds of the city. Luis was super responsive and saved us immediately when we locked ourselves out once. You felt safe in the area, especially with the gated property. Loads of great restaurants in walking distance, especially Sisudo and restaurante adraga, such friendly owners. Do NOT go to A Adega do Coelho. Not friendly for tourists. I would totally return, loved it.

Sofia’s house is such an inspiring and beautiful place, I really recommend it!

Every thing about this place is fantastic. The land is beautiful and so peaceful. What a view to wake up to. I was celebrating my anniversary and the bed was adorned with flowers and there was a welcoming bottle of wine with some lite bites provided. Dinesh is a fantastic welcoming face full of excellent recommendations. Alex,the owner, is a delight to talk to if you have the opportunity to meet him during the wonderful breakfast. I don’t have a bad thing to say. They go above and beyond to provide a home away from home and create a truly unique, warm and welcoming experience. I hope everyone gifts themselves the opportunity to rest their head here.

Lovely rustic property. Amazing view, fabulous huge window making the most of the views in all rooms. Easy to find so long as you use the coordinates and not the address. Local supermarket in Janas sells everything including wood for the fire. Quite and peaceful, comfortable beds and sofa and an amazing atmosphere with the wood burning going Ana checked us in and lives next door. She was lovely and super helpful at all times. Only downside is the bathroom is downstairs and the stairs are steep and there is not a conventional handrail. Not a problem for us, but it could be for older people or those with children

Jorge is an outstanding host! He sorted everything for us, gave us great recommendations and was so helpful with everything. I would highly recommend his place to anyone!

We stayed here for 3/4 days before we headed off to a wedding. This place was fantastic, highly recommend. It's so peaceful and relaxing, a great get away. We felt right at home. Thankyou again for having us there.

Maria was very attentive to us, even with setbacks she did everything to have a good stay. Indico vivamente. The place is tranquil and with a short walk you will be on the beach.

A beautiful little farm, very well maintained and tastefully designed. Strader, Laura and their little boy Coyote couldn’t be any friendlier, they are lovely hosts and made us feel right at home. The bed and bedding are super comfortable after travelling for so many hours it was bliss to get into bed! We booked very last minute and they were super responsive. Highly recommend !

We had a pleasant stay in this soothing place close to nature. Miguel and Antonia made us feel at home. They are both very friendly, you feel like they love people and they love to share their love of animals. Everything is done with the Heart! The "Casinha de Lareira" is decorated with great taste and care (little nod to the housekeeper, impeccable cleanliness!). Miguel and Antonia , a big thank you for the people you are! We rented two flats from Manuel in Alfama and had an absolutely wonderful stay there. Manuel is the best host you can think of. He is very helpful, friendly, easy to reach and gave us lots of good recommendations to restaurants and interesting things to see, and his flats are just gorgeous. Perfectly situated, very well equipped, beautiful furnitures, lovely bathrooms and stunning terraces. It was also quite special to stay in a 600 years old house, with its thick walls, tiles decoration, beautiful entrance, floors and stairs. The thick walls kept the house cool and comfortable when hot outside. Alfama, with its narrow cobbled streets and lovely atmosphere, was a perfect place to stay for us and a great starting point for our walks around Lisbon. We went there with our closest family, including our two small grandchildren, and it worked great for all of us. After a long day out it was wonderful to relax and gather all of us on the terrace. We would love to come back and deeply recommend the place.

Jose’s place is a little paradise in Alenquer with such an amazing array of flora and wildlife. The pool is large and well equipped with many sun loungers. A breakfast mostly made from produce grown within the gardens was made on the Sunday morning (the jam, cheesecake and carrot cake were particularly good, best we’ve ever tasted!) which was a very welcome surprise. Paola created some lemonade with Lemons and mint from the gardens and it was simply delicious. Jose even gave us five huge Sicilian Lemons to take with us once we left for home! We were staying for four days as we were over from the UK for a wedding which was hosted only 1km away, but we have to say this place would easily justify a holiday in itself. Everyone couldn’t do enough to help us, given my wife is 30 weeks pregnant and our overall experience of Jose’s place, Alenquer and Portugal was nothing short of beautiful. Thank you Jose and Paola for treating us like a King and Queen during our stay, we will never forget

We enjoyed staying with Benjamin very much! The reception was already very friendly and immediately received an introduction to the premises, which was really very impressive. If you need a break and like a quiet place, this is the place to be. We had our own cottage, which was set up as described, and a small private terrace where we enjoyed the morning and evening hours to the fullest! We would definitely come back! Thank you again :)

Fanatically big house and large plot in a great location. Five minutes from the beach and 20 minutes into Lisbon. Host Benjamin and his staff were very good and nice

Wonderful home that matches the host. Stunning from inside to out and very well maintained. The children (and adults) were very entertained with the arcade room and others. Great bbq which I recommend using as not many restaurants for large groups (unless you drive a bit) the kitchen was excellent, not only was it fully equipped, but the equipment was all in very good order to use. Good size grounds where the kids could burn energy and it’s helped to have such large car space at the front as we had 3 vehicles. As we went in December with the cooler weather the pool didn’t quite heat up enough to use (although the daring kids braved the chill and went in a couple of times). Also due to the cooler months it was difficult to get longer periods of hot water so we had to be mindful of when taking showers etc. Overall this is a 5* property and host and couldn’t recommend enough!

Enjoyed the stay very much. Fantastic hosts and a very nice, spacious villa, garden and swimming pool. The hosts are very attentive and polite. The place is spacious and private. Highly recommended.
