Tadashi is a wonderful host! He gave clear instructions for finding the inn and was very friendly, even inviting another guest and me to join him at an izakaya. The inn itself has a comfortable and convenient public area, and the rooms are spacious (though be prepared to sleep on a futon, as indicated). It’s also close to shopping in Shijo-Kawaramachi and culture in Higashiyama. I will definitely consider Seibido Inn when I am in Kyoto again!

The stay was amazing! The residence’s location was super convenient! It was really close to the station which ran the Keihan Line, which goes all the way to Osaka. It’s also just a short walk away from the Kyoto Station area which has lots of food places and shops. As for the residence itself, so many amenities! Most notably the washer-dryer, the bath, the kitchen and utensils, and also several toiletries. The home was very clean and the beds and futons were very comfy. Would love to stay here again!

The apartment is very clean, fully equipped, and the surrounding environment is very nice and quiet.Convenient transportation, both tram and bus, just three stops to Gion.Had a little trouble getting in, but had to get an answer right away.It was a great experience, would stay again.

This is my third time staying here. I know it will be reliable, friendly, easy to access, and a great central location to access the wide sprawl of Kyoto. Either room listed is comfortable and cozy, go with what style suits you. You will not be disappointed by spending time here.

I chose a nearby place from Osaka, and I was attracted to the cheapness of staying for consecutive nights. I had a relaxing summer vacation with a Michigan cruise, club Harrier, and Aeon. There was plenty of space with 2 adults, 1 child.There was a retro public bath nearby within 1 minute, so I slowly soaked in hot water. In the morning, I went to a nearby coffee shop and a 5-minute drive to the lake morning.It was a quick drive to anything. The temperature was too hot to walk nearby, etc. On the second day, the room was cleaned, and I had a pleasant time in a clean room.It was really simple, but it was clean.The kids spent a lot of time watching YouTube on the projector. It was a quiet and easy place to stay while being in the city of Gion!Thank you for being kind to the dog.If you have a heavy suitcase or pet cart, please note that there is no elevator.Thank you for the bicycle storage!

We've had a great time here. We have a three year old daughter and she had the room to play. The area is quiet and have shops (7/11 and a place to drink coffee). The station is just a small walk. Would recommend!

You are literally paying for everything you can bring a house, a kitchen, washing machine, private bathroom, and of course, tailored to a Japanese motel, the aesthetics and cleanliness amazed me, I would definitely come back

I had a wonderful stay at Eri's place! Check-in was a breeze, the room was very clean and cosy, and Eri was an excellent communicator. The flat has everything you need and is perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. The location was ideal: right next to Fushimi Inari Shrine, with its famous vermillion gates, and steps to two different train lines that will take you all over Kyoto. (I actually walked most places, since there's a lovely river walkway that goes to Gion and beyond. It's a great city to get around on foot!) The area itself has many restaurants and street food, a huge supermarket, and lots of quaint shops along the road north of the shrine. It's a peaceful neighbourhood, but at the same time there's lots to do. Highly recommend!

Excellent host. Very spacious and well-equipped place.

Eri-san was really helpful and checked in to make sure everything was comfortable. The area is close by the station while also being far enough from all the chaos of tourists. Although there are tracks nearby, the train passes smoothly without disturbance. It also makes for comfortavle viewing if you enjoy watching trains passing by. There is also a wonderful view of the river from the area which at night illuminates the sky and lighting along the way. The space is good and the surroundings are peaceful, I would like to stay again. Be aware though that due to Kyoto's accomadation tax, it will be 200円 a night extra. That unfortunately is out of the control of the owner and is more so on the local government. Aside from that one drawback, I can definitely reccomend for the stay. Aside from other places that offer a stay and the room feeling stale, the room decor is cozy and feels lively. Full marks for the wonderful space and area. For hosting us, Thank you.

Great place. Very centrally located. One of few places we visited that had an elevator so that was nice. The appartment was a bit small but that is fine given the location I guess.

Good place for a family. Comfortable and clean. Host was very helpful. Near to many attractions in Uji. Appreciate the helpfulness of the host. Overall very good value.

yoshimi is a great host who is super helpful and communicative. she gave very clear directions when we had to travel from kyoto station to the apartment in the middle of winter night with 2 kids and luggages. the place itself is also in a great location and is warm and comfortable. would love to stay again!

Great place however wasn’t aware washing machine and dryer was paid and shared. Also had to pay 200pp/night for accommodation tax

A lovely place to stay. The area to the north (Gion) was beautiful, though expensive and very full of westerners. The areas to the west and south were simply lovely though. Especially walking along the river and canal at night.

We had a wonderful stay, Seth offered recommendations for the local area and was very responsive to any questions. The house itself was perfect for our stay with older children. The rooftop bath was a beautiful way to finish the day with the Kyoto skyline as my view! Would definitely love to return if we are ever back in Kyoto.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights in this Airbnb. Everything was available for us to - a complete kichenette, a separate tatami bedroom and a spacious bathroom/bathtub area. Appreciate the small touches that the host prepared for us and we were also pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy Netflix on the TV. It is about 15 min walk from Kyoto Station and if you're adventurous, you can run next to the river and head to the nearby attractions within 10 km radius of the accommodation. Check in/check out information was well communicated and grateful for the prompt responses!

Nori and Fumi were absolutely amazing, from the beginning to the end! They even received our luggages ahead of time and picked us up from the train station. The apartment was beyond our expectations; the bed was so comfortable and the biggest one we had in Japan, spacious living space and kitchen. The ability to do laundry was just icing on the cake! Breakfast was served every morning and it was delicious! Nori gave us an option of doing a traditional Japanese or American breakfast at the cool cafe. The location was right outside of the chaos of Kyoto but very close to the train/bus, restaurants, conventions stores, etc. Fumi took us to a local spot every morning and dropped us off closer to where we wanted to be and gave us recs! The experience with Fumi and Nori was just invaluable. We long to come back and visit them as they are just the most wonderful humans! It was great getting to know them and making new friends in Japan; they added so much to our trip. Thank you so much
