This was my second stay at one of Derek’s cabins, and just like the first time, it was absolutely perfect. The cabin was peaceful, secluded, and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Shenandoah area—exactly what I was looking for. The views from the hot tub were absolutely extraordinary, making it the perfect place to unwind. Another great perk is that while the cabin isn’t directly on the river, it comes with access to the community’s river access, which is an awesome bonus. I’ve had such great experiences with Derek’s cabins that while I was here, I went ahead and booked another one for May! That’s how much I trust his hospitality and the quality of his rentals. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat in the Luray area, this is the place.

We had a great stay at Dolly's chalet in Basyve VA! We were a large group of 15 adults and children and the home was large enough to accommodate all of us and was very comfortable, clean, and private. We loved all the amenities including the 5 passes for Bryce Resort and were able to use them on the ski lifts, snow tubing, and ice skating. We especially enjoyed the fact that the chalet is located right on one of the slopes and could just ski in and out directly. Not to mention that we totally enjoyed the hot tub facing the slope as well as the indoor sauna after a day of skiing. We will certainty be back and highly recommend Dolly's chalet. She was super easy to communicate with and very responsive.

As a photographer, I enjoy being in this beautiful little cabin. Photography books everywhere, cabin looks west so beautiful night skies with level 5 light pollution (for context, DC is level 13), great spot if you want to ski in Bryce Resort, and above and beyond on amenities. Dry condiments in the cabinets, condiments in the fridge, 2% milk in the fridge, and all the necessary items to make food. Already planning on coming back in the summer time.

LUXURIOUS & Cozy Mountain Retreat on Bryce Resort

Amanda’s place is fantastic. It’s close to Bryce & local restaurants. We had fun playing fuse ball, ping pong, & the board games. The beds are insanely comfortable (step aside, Westin) and Amanda is quick to respond. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at the Duke Den! The location was perfect and the space was clean, spacious, well-equipped, and nicely decorated. Our host was very attentive, helpful, and accommodating. Tracey really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Great place to stay and we would recommend it highly.

We had a great stay at Nathan’s place. Everything was as stated, comfortable and clean. The few questions we had were answered very quickly. The house is located only a couple of minutes from Bryce resort. We come up to the area once or twice a year and will definitely keep this location on our list. Thanks Nathan!!

The place was amazing, clean, and just the perfect mountain getaway aesthetic, far enough to be private but close enough to local attractions, restaurants and bars. Perfect if you just wanna stay in too, take a walk and breathe in the mountain air! I would buy this place if i could, and i will come back as much as i can!

Cozy Mountain Escape

I was able to visit the Laurin for a week during a stormy February, and it was the perfect getaway close to nature, in a mountainous and rural part of Virginia. Although the cabin has well lived, the place is greatly organized and has lots of space. I found all listed amenities, clean sheets, etc. and immediately felt welcome. Rachael has plenty of local recommendations and Abby (property manager) is helpful when things happen: the weather was quite cold and windy during my stay, I lost power for a few hours and the hot water pipe froze for a few hours, nothing unfixable but it’s better to be prepared for some autonomy (like a day of food and bottled water), as with snow and with the dirt road leading up to the cabin, I would greatly recommend an AWD vehicle to get there. Overall a great location, that I recommend to discover.

My wife and I celebrated valentines early and decided to get away from a busy area. Cinnamonknoll was the place to do it! Great surroundings, scenery, and the privacy was awesome. Everything listed was spot on. The best part was the unexpected snow storm, made cinnamonknoll more beautiful and cozy. The hottub was amazing and worked wonderfully. Jackie and thomas were very responsive and also let us know that there would be a plow once the snow stopped. In the end, my wife and I will be back again. Awesome AIRBNB!!! Thank you Cinnamonknoll!

This is the second year we stayed here. Was perfect for two adults and two young kids. House was close to the slopes and was a really quick drive. The house has everything you need. Fun location for kids to learn how to ski!

Tranquility Awaits at Bryce Resort

Had a great weekend staying at this property. I would definitely recommend carpooling in smaller vehicles if possible or parking in the small driveway will be tricky. We had a situation with the fridge not working and hot water being turned off when we arrived, but the hosts were very responsive and immediately sent their handyman over to resolve everything quickly. Some of the bedding was also a little dirty so we had to wash them before using, but the washer/dryer worked great. The cute decor and abundance of board games were a nice touch and overall our group had a nice stay.
