Holiday houses in Shawbury

Our second stay at The Little Gate House was fantastic! Impeccably clean with everything we needed. The welcome letter and basket of goodies were much appreciated, the home made jam delicious. Great base for mountain biking and walking in the local area. A pity we couldn’t have stayed longer. We can’t wait to return!

We had a fabulous 2 nights stay in Milsom cottage . The view was amazing and the cottage so cosy and warm from the AGA . The peace and quiet was glorious! The cottage’s fixtures and fittings and amenities were of great quality and it felt like a real treat to be staying there . We would definitely return, there is still so much to see and do in the area . Thank you Victoria for a lovely stay

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location with easy access to all amenities. Added bonus was the private south facing back garden. Very enjoyable weekend break and would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights to have some well deserved rest and it was just that! The surroundings were beautiful and mixed with the fabulous hut and hot tub we had a great time! Nicola was very proactive in her communication and was more than accommodating. Would definitely return.

Had a lovely couple of days here, lovely to be able to have a cuppa and a biscuit when we arrived that were left by our hosts and then pain au raisin for breakfast! Nice location for the wedding we were guests at The Ashes Barn and would definitely recommend staying here.

Wowsers. Just wowsers. What a gorgeous place with everything you could possibly need inside. I’m a person that brings everything but the kitchen sink when I go away, but I needn’t have because everything we could have ever needed was already there. Above and beyond what one expects at holiday accommodations. Spacious, spotless, secluded and simply wonderful.

Thank you Helen for the use of your lovely home, we came up to Shropshire for my mums funeral and the comfort and warmth of the bungalow made a sad occasion very bearable, we will be back in the future. Kind regards Ann & Nick Bird

Well where to start!!! The cottage alone. . WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! Such a beautiful cottage, in such a peaceful, quiet and serene location. No worries about noisey neighbours, your closest neighbour's ARE the sheep in nearby fields should you go out for a walk, which you absolutley SHOULD!!!! Everything was perfect, amazing location with views for miles. The hills are incredible to explore, the host did not exaggerate on that whatsoever. Kinda didn't want to leave lol. Everything we needed or wanted was already provided, and the host was only a quick message away, plus free wood was provided for the indoor fireplace. It was out of this world, and we cannot wait to come back again!!

Sarah’s cottage is neat, clean, and bigger than it looks in the photos in most places, apart from the downstairs shower room, where there has been some ingenious use of space. It was a great place to stay - we were 4 adults for 1 night. We used the log burning stove, lovely and cosy!
