Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Serene Lakes

It was very cold when we arrived, but the heaters quickly heated up the place. We liked being close to downtown Nevada City which had many charming stores and restaurants. We all liked our beds and they were comfortable. I'd say the full size bed was the most comfortable. You did have to wait awhile for the hot water to kick in. There were plenty of towels. Thank you so much.

we will return! Constant communication and Racj=hel went out of her way to have us check in early as we arrived sooner than we anticipated. The house is perfect! We have a small dog, there were dog covers, a fenced yard (with pooper scooper), a sweet fireplace, a footed bathtub, and 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of towels and great sheets. We really loved this place and it would be great for 2 couples and/or a family. Great for dog people.

We, a couple with 2 pups, had a relaxing trip to Kings Beach in Tahoe. Donna and Toby’s cabin had everything (and more) you’d need. In fact, until now, I’d never stayed in a rental that was as well stocked as this home. There were zip lock bags, foil, oil, coffee, I could go on but you get the idea. Restaurants within walking distance to home base. We ordered take away meals and enjoyed them in the cabin since the weather was too cold to sit outside with our dogs. In fact, it snowed our first night which was magical and beautiful to wake up to the next morning. Appreciated the fenced yard for the dogs to sniff around. The beach and walking path was a quick few minutes walk away. Sweet little cabin. We’d definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect spot for a ski getaway with my dog. 10 min drive to Northstar. Just blocks away from the beach. Excellent location.

This cabin was great for a family ski trip to Sierra. It's cozy, clean, and kid-friendly, and a reasonably short drive from both Sierra and South Lake Tahoe. The open family room was great, with plenty of couch space for everyone to relax in the evening. It could be a bit more private - e.g. the hot tub (which is nice!) is near the road - but the neighborhood is quiet and all the houses are set well apart. Overall a really nice place; we'd definitely stay here again.

A very nice older home in a quiet neighborhood. It was exactly what we needed for our few days in Reno. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog, but just be mindful if there are other tenants in the back units they will be right next to you and therefore no privacy if you’re in the backyard. But I give it a great rating as it served our needs perfectly. The host Jo is extremely responsive and accommodating and we were able to check in early

Staying at Milan’s place was a very special time for our group. We enjoyed the energy of the home, the decor, space, and natural light. We loved the overall vibe with the fireplace and record player too! The area is gorgeous, in a peaceful and nature filled neighborhood just minutes from downtown Nevada City. We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood and many nights cooking together and relaxing and talking by the fire. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The only downside was that we do wish the home was a bit cleaner and more organized. However overall happy we stayed here and would love to return. Nevada City is a special place!

Grateful to have found this gem, away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown Reno area, yet only minutes away by car, and surrounded by views of the Sierras (actual snow capped mountains)! Enjoyed quiet, clean and comfortable privacy for a retreat getaway experience.

The location is beautiful. Especially if you’re a skier there is a resort right down the street. Plenty of snow to play in outside. Tons of room with the spacious four bedrooms. Nice having washer dryer and a full kitchen available. The hot tub and suana is an added bonus.

Omar was extremely responsive and helpful. He lets us park our cars early and gave us lots of recommendations. The house has very spacious bedrooms and it was quiet. The view from the deck is spectacular.

We came for the week to ski and this was perfect for the three of us. Ski in/Ski out must mean different things to different people, we weren't able to do that. If it had snowed when we were here, perhaps that would have been possible. We drove to the parking lot nearby, VERY nearby and that worked for us. We cooked in most nights and the kitchen was sufficient, and the unit was well stocked with extra blankets and supplies. Loved the boot/glove dryer!

Kevins place is great. The common spaces are clean. The kitchen is well stocked and the equipment is looked after. The bathrooms are spotless. Its walking distance to heavenly and downtown. Definitely recommend!

It is truly a beautiful place . Made it a magical Xmas for us. Perfect setting and the home is gorgeous. It’s right next to the gondola and connected to the ritz . Easy access for everything :) Kate is awesome to work with :)

This was our second stay at Lauren's house and hopefully not the last. We really enjoyed our week at the cabin - plenty of space for two families, the kitchen had everything we needed, the kids played endless poker games in the loft and watched some movies in the living room. The shuttle system is convenient but it does take a while on busy days. All in all, a fantastic stay!

In most things, getting the details right, is difficult. Sarah knocked it out of the park. This place is so thoughtfully put together. From the well appointed kitchen, to the great bedding, and the clear instructions, this place was so welcoming and comfortable. The location is very private and peaceful. We enjoyed using this place as a base to do daily excursions to some great snowy places for snowshoeing. We said, multiple times this weekend to each other, “I love this place and we should come back here soon!”.

Couldn't recommend this place more for staying in Reno. Situated in a quiet neighborhood but still very close to everything you could possibly need. We especially loved being close to a park to let the dog run free for a bit. Allison was incredibly thoughtful in making sure you have everything you need.

Glass House is sensational! Great location for a ski weekend - close to Truckee & Northstar! Our family loves the accommodations - and Ken is a superb host. Absolutely would recommend.

We had the most amazing time in Renee’s beautiful cottage with the best view and location. Clear instructions and very responsive to all my queries.

We had a great stay at Lisa's. Beautiful and big house for our family with 3 children and a dog. Beautiful fenced garden for our dog. Beautiful location: we were able to ski at Heanvenly and Kirkwood too. We left some little things at Lisa's and she was very responsive and very accommodating with us. We recommend. Jess’ place was both incredibly well designed and cozy at the same time. It was immaculately clean, had a well stocked kitchen and was a perfect distance to the main drag in town. In addition, Jess was the most responsive and flexible host - answering all our many questions and asks for local recommendations (we were staying with a big family and kids over Christmas). Would 100% stay here again!

We had a great weekend at Vasily’s rental. It was perfect for our family and dog and we will definitely consider staying again.
