Holiday houses in Scrub Hill Settlement

There are not enough words to explain how amazing Kamal’s place is and the location. Very safe and everyone around us were so friendly. The house is equipped with everything that you need including beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. We brought some groceries and the kitchen was well equipped including a propane grill outside. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. We loved the location and had the most amazing week at the house.

It was the first time my family and I visited Long Island. We met Docky and Jill and they made us feel at home from the very beginning. Starting from the simplest details of providing, coffee, tea, bug spray, baby oil for mosquitoes to the more complex like taking time out to direct us everywhere on the entire island. The home is equipped with all of the basics even some cooking seasonings. The yard is big and has a beautiful huge tamarind trees. a nice gazebo, grill and the house hilltop view was spectacular. We had true privacy and the neighbors were quiet and kept to themselves. We never saw them..You definitely will need a car to get around especially to restaurants and grocery shopping. It’s located to the very northern tip of the island. The busiest settlement is 45 minutes to the south. We will be back again and will be delighted to book with Bonafide fishing house again. We didn’t do any fishing with Docky because of the rain. We came as visitors and left feeling like locals.

The house and property: Peaceful. Pristine. Private. The host: Friendly. Knowledgeable. Responsive. Our family had a wonderful time at House Marlin! Cathy is a friendly, responsive, knowledgeable host. Check-in was easy. The house is clean and had all the amenities our family needed. We were steps from the beach and our kids loved the pool.

I was very impressed with the host, Lee went out of her way to ensure that my stay was enjoyable, I will be definitely recommending her place and I will be staying with her whenever I get a chance, location is walking distance to a fabulous beach, winding road with great views of native trees and flowers I even saw a few sheep on my journey.

We had a great stay here and would return 100%! PROS - Easy check-in and check-out. - Great location - Peaceful, close to the airport and other places, however you will need a car to get around. - Very clean and no clutter inside. Hot showers, lots of towels, large open plan areas. - All AC's worked great and we were all comfortable inside. - Location felt safe. CONS - Not really cons, more things to note. - There is a flight of stairs to enter the apartment. This didn't bother us at all but could be difficult for others to carry cases etc. up the stairs. - The kitchen didn't have power during our stay, however the host kindly offered us one that was just across the hallway which worked great for us. - The outside had great wildlife like money bats, lizards etc. however we did find a small scorpion in some clothes we left outside to dry. Again, this didn't bother us as it's nature and what we came to see! However we felt it was important to write this so others are aware.

One of the best deals on the island. Great location. We got to know some of the neighbors. There is construction down the way that we were able to walk across to the beach. Maybe a 3 minute walk or less. Clean, simple but comfortable place. Beds are comfortable and sheets are soft. Some reviews mentioned shower pressure but if you know the islands you know the water is brackish and has sediment. The shower head was cleaned out and the pressure was back to normal. The house also looked to be recently finished but there is still some construction going on in the exterior. Gibson the construction help was wonderful and very friendly. Nothing that bothered us. Again for the price you can’t complain. If you go to Exuma to see the beaches, this area is one of our favorites as long time travelers to Exuma! We will book again.

My colleague and I enjoyed our stay. The ambiance was great and it was centrally located. The accommodation was spacious and we certainly felt safe. You will need a car rental to get around. The host and property management team on the ground were responsive and hospitable.

It was a pleasure, to stay at Michaels Apartment in Long Island. Michael did everything that I and my friend had an awesome and chilled vacation. He worked out, that we will get a car over there, which was super nice - since we thought you can just rent it at the airport, but not in Long Island :D So do it beforeor ask Michael :) ! Unfortunately he couldn't be at the house during our stay, but he texted every eveningto make sure we had fun and everything is alright. Thank you so much for that! The accomodation is super nice. There is a ton of space, the kitchen is already equipped, so you don't need to bring anything. Also: His assistant is super nice and friendly, brought us fresh mangos EVERY day (!!!) and some coconuts :) it was great! There are living just around 3000 people on the island, so it is actually VERY unlikely to see a person while you're at the beach, which is actually quite amazing. Thank you so mich for taking care of us! It was an awesome vacation :)
