Beautiful cottage in the heart of Northumberland

CliffRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Super break staying in Tracy & Rolys cottage. It really is a warm and comfortable place set in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the weather was challenging so we ended up spending more time indoors than we would have liked but that really didn’t matter as the cottage was a real home from home stocked with books and games which we enjoyed. We will definitely return to explore the surrounding countryside in hopefully better weather. We’ve stayed in many cottages and this is right up near the top!

Gill Farm - luxe suite with kitchen, private door

ChloeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had such an incredible stay at Pauline’s. It is only a 30 min drive into Glasgow and well worth being on the peaceful outskirts if like us, you want to visit the hustle and bustle but then escape back to a peaceful haven at the end of the day. The place was beautifully presented and incredibly clean. Everything was so easy and Pauline really went the extra mile with lots of bits for us to make it feel really special. 10/10 perfect stay - thank you so much for having us Pauline and for making it so lovely.

The Byre with Pool & Hot Tub

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A gorgeous place to stay, really enjoyed our visit and would definitely return in summer time! Should be made aware of the road to the cottage as it’s made for bigger cars on a dirt road. Our smaller cars scraped along, could damage underneath car and not great for your tyres but apart from that it was excellent. We were able to get a late check out which was appreciated as with late check-in and early check-out you only really get 1 full day if staying for the weekend. Lovely hosts and very spacious cottages😁would happily return!

Cumbrian Hideaway, The Cottage Barn

JulietteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were in the Lakes at a difficult time but Sophie was extremely sympathetic, responsive, and helpful. The cottage is a real haven of peace in an extremely beautiful place. It was easy to run and I imagine the outside would be lovely in warm weather with the noise of the stream in the garden and the birdsong. The surrounding countryside is much quieter than the main Lakeland and we thought would make excellent cycling country. Great walks less than a five minute drive. The cottage is fed by spring water which can go rather brown but it clears itself fine.

The Perfect Stop

TonyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Travelling from the north of Scotland to the south coast of England, some 700 miles, this was an ideal half-way stop. Even though it was only for one night, we were made to feel very welcome; advised where we could get a take-away and no problem with eating it in their lovely self-contained annexe. Great range of breakfast items.

Cozy cottage on berry farm with private beach

BronwynRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We are a family of four with two young girls and felt right at home from the moment we walked in. A very lovely and comfortable cottage, well equipped and Maddie kindly left us milk in the fridge and delicious biscuits on arrival. It's a quick 40 mins to glenshee ski centre and we were lucky enough to have snow. The kids loved sledding and having a winter hike. The cottage is set in a lovely peaceful area near the river amongst blueberry and cherries trees, sadly as we came in winter they were not in bloom but you can tell how magnificent it would have been. Would recommend!

Our stay was exactly what we needed. Lovely country setting, but close enough for us to get to Ballymena where we were doing some volunteer work. The house was lovely and warm and bright and we slept very well on the comfortable bed. 🤩

Whiteside Farm Granary - Hot tub - Dog friendly

JennyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
One of our favourite Airbnb getaways (and we've had lots!) Clear instructions of how to get to the property, left to our own devices, I actually really liked the fact it was on a running farm - a tractor went by, but I enjoyed it. The surroundings were stunning and the hot tub was very well received. I loved the little extra bed/corner area for reading/watching TV etc in the bedroom. All the amenities you could possibly need. We are only gutted we booked one night! We would love to come back here!!!

The Barn

SarahRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful 5 days at Pat and Neil’s barn. It is definitely up there with the most well appointed, comfortable and relaxing spaces we have stayed in. The location is peaceful and you’re 10minutes away from both the North Pennines and North Lakes so perfectly positioned to explore both. It’s a great location if you want to get some good walks in and there is plenty of inspiration in the barn to help you plan them. It’s very dog friendly with loads of space in the barn and the garden and in fact, the barn is so much more spacious than the photos suggest. The lounge has a fantastic log burning stove and Neil kindly offered to light it daily for us whilst we were out so the barn was always cosy and warm on our return. It really is a fabulous place to stay and we will be returning.

Converted 1 Bed Barn close to the National Park

MaddyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The location around was very picturesque. The barn was lovely and homely, with lots of helpful information on the area around and things to do. Highly recommend staying here if you want a good base location for the peaks, lakes or even Scotland boarder! I also recommend the local national trust sites around.

Eve communicated really well. The Airbnb was immaculate, warm, spotlessly clean, and nicely decorated for Christmas. Also just a short walk from Cockermouth town centre which was perfect for us. Overall was amazing and we’d definitely stay again.

Barn conversion on farm in beautiful countryside

JessicaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely few days away here, we especially enjoyed the large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge space. We relaxed in the evenings and made the most of the lovely accomodation and spent our days exploring places we had not been to before. We did Holy Island and other stops along the coastal road and had a day in Newcastle. We drove to the metro centre and got the train in which was very easy to do. Helpful and friendly host, thank you for the treats and eggs on arrival. We would recommend a stay here to anyone interested 😊

The Byre at Hole House

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were looking for a quiet peaceful place to explore the walking in the area. Emma's place fitted the bill perfectly being situated in a remote rural location. The Byre is well fitted out with quality finishes and small welcoming touches such as the delicious homemade cake. Emma is a great host and we will happily return to continue exploring the area.

Farrier's House near Ullswater

JaneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely homely property with lots of space for a three generation family to not be on top of each other. Really appreciated the toys and books for the children as well as the wine and dog biscuits! Nice little enclosed courtyard area with enough furniture for us all to sit in the sun. Quiet village with great local pub, the Kings Arms, who serve excellent home cooked food, reasonably priced. Convenient location for exploring the area. Very friendly and responsive host. Would highly recommend.
