Ideal for us, quiet, great facilities, warm and cosy.

Super break staying in Tracy & Rolys cottage. It really is a warm and comfortable place set in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the weather was challenging so we ended up spending more time indoors than we would have liked but that really didn’t matter as the cottage was a real home from home stocked with books and games which we enjoyed. We will definitely return to explore the surrounding countryside in hopefully better weather. We’ve stayed in many cottages and this is right up near the top!

Pauline is lovely and so is her family and her farm. We love Shandy the dog and we are always made to feel so welcome. The Easter eggs were very much appreciated and the toiletries provided are what you might expect at a luxury hotel. We will always stay there when in Glasgow.

We had a great stay at The Hayloft. There was everything we needed, very comfortable and clean. The location was good for my husband to cycle to Loch Katrine and Loch Lomond and for me to get to the course I was taking at Gartmore House. We can thoroughly recommend The Hayloft and would visit again.

It was our second visit, and we'd love to return for further visits - that indicates how much we enjoyed it.

The cottage was beautiful and very comfortable. We were welcomed with a warm scone and a bottle of Prosecco. The area is perfect for a relaxing getaway. We were fortunate to visit in the spring with many baby lambs in the pasture. A wonderful visit!

Fantastic place for our overnight stay on our way back from Scotland. Such a beautiful setting we really wish we could have stayed longer. Sarah was very welcoming and the breakfast left for us was a lovely surprise. There were a couple of local pubs in easy walking distance which served food. On the walk back from the pub some of Sarah’s highland cows had made their way across the fields to within a few metres from the gate where they could be easily viewed which was great. All round a great stay, would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

A lovely stay as my Grandparent was in hospital in Inverness. Louise was really helpful and the property was exactly as described. The log burner was particularly lovely in the evenings after long days visiting the hospital. The milk and coffee was also super appreciated. Thank you for everything. I hope to be back in different circumstances where I can enjoy the beauty of the Black Isle.

We are a family of four with two young girls and felt right at home from the moment we walked in. A very lovely and comfortable cottage, well equipped and Maddie kindly left us milk in the fridge and delicious biscuits on arrival. It's a quick 40 mins to glenshee ski centre and we were lucky enough to have snow. The kids loved sledding and having a winter hike. The cottage is set in a lovely peaceful area near the river amongst blueberry and cherries trees, sadly as we came in winter they were not in bloom but you can tell how magnificent it would have been. Would recommend!

If I could give more than five stars, I would. This place is absolutely amazing. The beds are super comfortable. The space is so cozy. The kitchen is lovely and totally ready for you. The location is a dream. There is a lovely garden and fire pit, and lots of nearby walks to enjoy. We live in Edinburgh and came as a group of friends just wanting a quiet weekend in nature to read and relax — could not have had a better place for it! And a massive shoutout to Susan, the host. Susan was super responsive and helpful — and extremely friendly and kind. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! x

Perfect place for a night away from the noise and stresses of everyday life. Peaceful, well equipped stay.

This place was amazing. The hosts were super friendly and very accommodating leaving you wanting for nothing, along with little touches to the property like refilling the firewood whilst we were out on a walk in the lakes, to things like a fresh loaf of bread with a choice of jam or butter in the fridge when we arrived. The photos of the place are beautiful, and although they don’t do it justice for what you get, I can honestly say that you practically have a full, well maintained, clean, cosy and comfortable house/ barn to live in for your stay. It was the perfect weekend for us all in all and we can’t thank Pat and Neil enough. I was particularly impressed with when we departed, Pat and Neil were asking for feedback and opinions showcasing their ongoing thoughts of continuous improvement for all their future guests. It’s hard to top what they’re already doing, as they’ll continue to strive for that which was clear. You can’t go wrong staying here and I’d definitely recommend.

Eve communicated really well. The Airbnb was immaculate, warm, spotlessly clean, and nicely decorated for Christmas. Also just a short walk from Cockermouth town centre which was perfect for us. Overall was amazing and we’d definitely stay again.

From the moment we booked, Anna made contact and was so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the information we needed was sent to us in a timely manner and was clear and easy to understand. The accommodation was immaculate and combined both cosiness and luxury! A beautiful property in a fantastic location with very personal touches from Anna. we can't wait to return and would definitely recommend

We’ve just got back from a beautiful stay at the cottage. We stayed two nights and wish we’d booked more time! We had a lovely experience start to finish, we had clear instructions of where to go and found the farm very easily. Check in was straightforward and the cottage was immaculate. The fresh eggs from the farm were a lovely touch, we had them for breakfast the following morning. Kelly kept in touch in case there was anything we needed but we had everything and more. We have a 6 month old and Kelly provided a high chair and travel cot which was great. There are some great pub/restaurants really close and we also had a day out in Corbridge which had some amazing cafes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

We were looking for a quiet peaceful place to explore the walking in the area. Emma's place fitted the bill perfectly being situated in a remote rural location. The Byre is well fitted out with quality finishes and small welcoming touches such as the delicious homemade cake. Emma is a great host and we will happily return to continue exploring the area.

The place was very clean. Area around is naturally beautiful about 10 mins from Alford (nearest town). Frances was very responsive and friendly.

Had a wonderful time at the barn we were a big group and the place was ideal for adults and kids David was a lovely host highly recommend

Just returned from an excellent stay. The property was easy to find. Pretty location in a fairly sleepy village with a couple of lovely pubs. It's a really good size and perfect for us (4 adults, 3 Children and 4 dogs) Lots of storage space to unpack and tidy everything away. We mainly ventured out into Penrith, Keswick and Therlkeld which were all a short drive away. Kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed - even Kitchen Foil which helpful for all the bacon sandwiches :-) Was a lovely hub to come back to after long day in the fresh air. Very good value :-)

We stayed over a cold December weekend and the place was stunning. Whether walking on the wild moors or snuggling in front of the log burner we were very happy with our choice to stay here. There were plenty of nice touches, including the tasty bread and eggs. We'd love to come back!

Perfect stay in such a lovely cottage. Very clean, had everything you could need and really felt like home. A good base for exploring Northumberland and scenery was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a weekend away. The sweet and savoury treats were a lovely surprise. Absolutely stunning surroundings. Beautiful house, photos don’t do it justice and it’s much bigger than it looks. We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful scenery from the huge windows. Amazing restaurants Mhor 84 and monachyl Mhor for a sublime dining experience. Stones throw from the loch . Already booked up to stay again!
