It was spacious, well equipped and better than the photos depicted. Alison and Rod have renovated this property with love and care and provided everything you need and more for a relaxing stay.

Wonderful space with all the amenities to accommodate a group of 8 people. Exceptional Privacy and Comfort. It exceeded expectations! The hosts were super friendly, very responsive and very quiet about the time of check-in and check-out. The experience was well worth the experience. Repeating!

This was a really cute and nice place. It was as showed in the pictures, even a pooltable! The house is clean with a cozy fire place we used a lot because it was winter. The garden very beautiful and big. Though the outside area and pool is shared with another place on the same property, which was no problem for us but might should be taken into account. The surroundings are stunning, perfect for some peaceful time in nature.

It was as if it was a retreat! It was exactly what we needed: the rest, the calm, the privacy. Deu for us to put the bronze and the reading on time. Having breakfast outdoors is such a simple thing, but in the rush of life it is not so easy and in Ana's house it was compulsory! We love all the sunsets we watch and we look forward to coming back. Marvão is undoubtedly wonderful. We recommend the Paulo Gouveia atelier where we bought a beautiful painting where cork is the main character. It will have a special place in our living room where we will forever remember this holiday full of peace and harmony. We wish Ana and her space the greatest success and we appreciate all the tips and the tasty bottle of wine you left us!

Eric's place is a hidden gem, tucked away down a narrow lane in a tiny village. Very peaceful and quiet with a lovely view of the neighbors sheep pastures. It's beautiful outside and within. Spacious and modern inside with a wonderfully efficient wood stove that warms the home quickly. We stayed a week and didn't want to leave. it is just what we needed. The couple of small problems were addressed quickly via text or personally by his man Joao within an hour. Wonderful stay!

An oasis of peace and a very enchanting property with its own charm and character. We enjoyed our stay, friendly and open-minded people, James cares and cares wherever possible. Rarely have we felt so welcome and comfortable. The cleanliness and amenities are excellent. In nearby Vila de Rei you will find everything you need. We would love to repeat our stay in the future, we miss it already.

Highly recommended for a peaceful and beautiful setting. Much more than I expected! The photos are very accurate in describing the house.

It is noted that Hosts have given a lot of thought to this accommodation and that they put a lot of love into the details. Since the bread and pasteis de nata with which we were received, fast and friendly communication. There are some trails to make (we did 2) and we still visited the fragas de são simão we recommend. The home itself with underfloor heating even in winter is very comfortable. We were traveling with a 1 year baby and it was an ideal place to relax.

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

Fiona was a fantastic host. Easy-going, considerate, and respectful. The apartment looked exactly as advertised and it had everything we needed. We had a pleasant and relaxing time, and 100% would recommend staying here.

Great stay inside castle walls! Luis was great host. We met him in town, parked our car and he drove us up the narrow streets to the apartment. It’s about a 10 minute walk down to square. Town is lovely and friendly. Highly recommend!

James is a really friendly host and excellent at communication. He has two cute dogs that greeted us warmly when we arrived. The house is clean and spacious with style which we enjoyed a lot. We also found a cafe near his house that serves excellent cakes.

It was a very comfortable and relaxing break with amazing scenery and wouldn't hesitate returning.

A very pleasant stop in this region that we discovered, and the gîte de Désirée is a big part of it! The apartment is comfortable and very functional, and the village welcoming.

We had a very enjoyable two weeks at Natalie and Simon's place. The sunsets were incredibly beautiful given the unobstructed views right from our balcony. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Our hosts made sure we were cosy and warm by heating the place for us when we got home from our daytrips in the evening. We also had a steady supply of fresh eggs, oranges and more. We recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a slower paced rural lifestyle, perfect for rest and relaxation and exploring the area.

We spent a couple of nights for work and it was a hit. We had a jaleo with the parking that I did not prepare in time so it was not his hosting's fault but the communication is immediate and the help was very valuable. Helped me fix it right away

Pete and Linda are the best hosts we've ever had on Airbnb. They both went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable, from local restaurant recommendations to pool toys and everything in-between. Our daughter had an amazing holiday! The house itself is charming, with tonnes of space and everything you could need. The pool is fantastic and well kept. The local area is remote and beautiful with gorgeous countryside everywhere and some charming river beaches. I managed a run down from the house to the beach and back a couple of times but it's pretty hilly. In short, we couldn't recommend this place more. Thanks

A show! Paula is an excellent hostess: extremely helpful, always available and responsive. It recommends spaces of leisure and culture around. The house completely met our expectations. It has a wonderful outdoor space, with place in the sun and others in the shade. With space to rest and enjoy the tranquility and sounds of nature. We traveled with 2 young children who loved to play on the lawn. With optimum conditions, pleasant temperature and with all amenities. Thank you so much and see you next time!

Helen&Chris are lovely people. They gave our family a very warm welcome. We felt at home. Very neat and clean. The garden, pool and orangery are all spectacular. We loved spending our evenings at the taras or playing in the pool. Helen and Chris were very helpful with all instructions and sites or restaurants to visit. When we needed help they were very easy to communicate to. Highly recommend to visit Helen's & Chris's Orangery ☺️

Spectacular experience! From the moment of the reservation to the check-out, Mrs. Sónia e o Sr. Rui were impeccable with us. Always very attentive and responsive to all the issues we had. The house itself is spectacular and corresponds to the description taken/the photographs. We were very happy with the choice and the conditions. The condominium's location is very good. It is in a place is quiet and 20 min. from the large hypermarkets. The neighborhood is super friendly, and access to the pool is definitely a bonus. This all culminated in a great week of holidays! Definitely a repeat experience. I highly recommend the home of Mrs. Sónia e do Sr. Rui for those who want to visit Tomar and/or take a relaxing holiday away from the chaos of the city!
