Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Sangamon County

My son, along with my friend and I were pheasant hunting down the street. The house was perfect for what we needed. Close to the field, and we could have our bird dogs inside. It was clean and comfortable.

We loved our little home away from home and hope to stay there again. We had lived in a nearby neighborhood and returned to visit friends. The place was sparkling clean! We were provided with some snacks and anything we would have needed to cook. There’s a nice fridge with an ice maker and a blender, both important to me. The beds and couches were very comfortable and the shower pressure in both bathrooms was perfect. I was able to sit at the kitchen table and see a variety of birds in the back yard including woodpeckers, blue jays and cardinals. There are simple instructions for walking to the walking trail. It’s a great trail that spans several miles in either direction. We used it a lot when we lived there. The home rules were very reasonable-we didn’t feel like we had to be the housekeepers. My long distance girlfriend and I needed a place to stay for our date weekend. This place did not disappoint!

HOSTS WERE GREAT AND ON TOP OF THERE GAME ANYTHING YOU NEEDED WAS THOUGHT OF AND THERE FOR ALL KIDS AND ADULTS MISSING A TOOTH BRUSH IT WAS THERE SNACKS LAYED OUT FOR GUESTS TRULY GREAT PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME AT THERE PLACE MUCH APPRECIATED, WAS A GREAT TIME BEING THERE WE WILL BE BACK

Really enjoyed our stay and will gladly stay again if we are in the area. Everything was so clean and neat, and the host was always quick to reply to any questions I had. Due to the cold weather we didn't use the backyard much but I love the space and how private it felt. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay

Our stay was great. Angela had a great pdf of all house rules, recommendations, check out list, etc. everything was clearly labeled and easily accessible. She was very responsive. Great house with a nice fenced in yard.

Great location for seeing the Lincoln historical exhibits. We loved being in this historic building. The house is so beautifully maintained. Our suite was a blend of contemporary and vintage. Bed was comfortable, bathroom lovely. Living room comfortable. Used the kitchenette for light breakfast in the morning. Must be able to navigate steep staircase to second floor. Would love to return during summer months and use the lovely outside space.

I loved this place, it was within walking distance of almost all the historic places I wanted to go to and was a beautiful and clean. It was very nice to stay in a house that was special in its own right. Parking was great and free, and I appreciated the pride flag outside, it made me feel pretty comfortable with who I was giving my money to. I unfortunately did have some issues with the jets in the bathtub, but the hosts were kind about it and promised to look into it before the next guest. The entrance stairs were a bit disappointing as they were a servant’s staircase instead of the grand one inside, but I was satisfied to wander around a bit on my own to see the rest of the house. It would be really cool if there was some more information about it around or someone there to talk to. I did not order breakfast, but the options did look interesting, though unfortunately I couldn’t find a way to order any drinks. Otherwise it was great and I would gladly take another trip here!
