House holiday rentals in San Saba

This was a wonderful place to stay. The bathrooms and kitchens were beautiful. (Well stocked and clean.) There was a fantastic, well-lit, cozy area to read, and plenty of privacy for our family. We hope to stay here again each time we visit our family in Bluffton. I cannot wait to stay here in the summer to enjoy the pool. My favorite thing about this home was that there were not any bugs or cobwebs. They keep this home incredibly clean!

Thunderbird Lodge is a great place to stay for large groups. The unit has 5 bedrooms and a big common area. The kitchen has a lot of counterspace. The area is about 10 minutes from Burnet.

Absolutely gorgeous views from the sprawling back patio. Everything was clean, everything was comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed with pots and pans. Little touches like the cocktail station add so much to the experience of making one feel welcome. The game room, too, was tons of fun and not something one typically finds! But it was just perfect for this particular trip. Can’t wait to come back—maybe we’ll bring our families next time! It’s as perfectly set up for a “dudes retreat” as it is for family get-together. Only small complaint is the water pressure kind of has a mind of its own.

My kids and I loved this house. I have a daughter who's 6 and a son, who's almost 15 and he really enjoyed the third bedroom gave him a sense of independence. It was such a nice layout. The bathtub is amazing.Super cozy a great vacation stay!

Debby was a wonderful host. Very helpful with clear instructions about the Airbnb particulars and check-in and check-out. The mid-century modern decor was so fun! And the “tree top” feel and beautiful views of the lake were very enjoyable! My grandkids really enjoyed the swimming pool! We had a wonderful stay!

We were very happy with the stay at the ranch. It was peaceful and quiet; we listened to birds and insects and enjoyed the sunset by the pool. The trails on the property is a big plus, and we saw turkeys, deer, and jack rabbits along the trails. If I am ever back in this area, I would rent this place again.

What an amazing property! The house is darling...completely renovated with every modern amenity, yet embodying all the original charm of an older farmhouse. It is beautifully decorated throughout, and has extremely comfortable beds and high end white noise machines in all the bedrooms. The grounds of the property were immaculately manicured, and we spent hours sitting around the beautiful fire pit enjoying the peaceful serenity of the setting. The pool looked awesome, although we didn't get a chance to swim. I wish we could have stayed longer! Communication with the host was great, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our short stay. What a gem! We will be back for sure!

I have stayed in many AirBnbs and this house has to be one of the best layouts I have seen. The house is in amazing shape , the kitchen has everything you need and more, the butler's panty/coffee bar worked very well to keep clutter out of the kitchen, the indoor and outdoor spaces are roomy and accommodated my family of 6 adults, 2 preteen boys and a 7 yr old granddaughter very comfortably. The screened in porch with a fireplace would have been appreciated if we had rain, but it was dry and we sat outside by the fire pit, which is nicely tucked into a corner so there wasn't any issues with the wind blowing smoke in our faces. The driveway is steep, but there is plenty of parking. The water was low, but still high enough for my grandson to paddle board and for us to have a view of the water. I will be rebooking next year for our Christmas get together, we all loved the house.

Great pre-holiday stay on the lake! Beautiful location and a comfortable, well-decorated home. The lake views and big picture windows were great. So peaceful sitting out and watching geese and gulls, herons and osprey fly by. Heather thought of everything with the many available amenities and games at the house. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the fully stocked kitchen, personalized welcome sign and the Christmas decorations. The place was super spacious. Our family of 8 had plenty of room to spread out. There was a steep driveway and a walk down to the lake and over rocks to get to the dock, but neither were any problem at all. The only minor issue was that I didn’t realize ahead of time the WiFi out in the country had limitations. We’re a screen and streaming-loving family, one of whom had trouble with some work he needed to finish online. But overall , it was a great stay!

We loved our stay! The home is beautiful and has a big back yard. The sun room was also perfect!

Tosha’s home was the perfect place for us. We had 6-8 women staying in the home, and though we didn’t need it, the large dining/living room seating could accommodate at least 14-16 for a central meeting space for a day learning setting. The view was great, and this would also be a perfect family home for lake fun. The best part was having a clean home with 3 full bathrooms! Thank you, Tosha!

My family stayed at Rusty's home while attending my son's wedding. I accommodated our needs very well. Rusty was very responsive to any questions we had. I would recommend for a peaceful place to stay.

We spent Labor Day weekend at this stunning home, and it was an incredible experience! The house was absolutely perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was close to Colorado River Bend great hiking during the day, fun fire pit and games for the kids outdoors. Very comfortable and so relaxing. We should have booked a longer stay. So much thoughtfulness went into provisions like snacks, hot chocolate and mimosas. Thank you so much!!

We had the sweetest stay! As a family of 5 it was a cozy and great location for distraction-free time together! Hattie was very helpful and her cottage was just what we needed! We enjoyed the surrounding state park for hiking adventures.

Great little lake house for nice getaway. Nice big yard for kids to play. Very close to reveille peak ranch and spider mountain for mountain biking which is why we stayed there. Would love to stay again.

This is our second time staying here and we loved it just as much as the first time! The host is very sweet and responds quickly if you have any questions! The road coming in was great…no potholes and very smooth! Saw lots of bunnies, birds and a few deer driving in! We will be staying again!! So peaceful and family friendly!

This property is a lakefront property, but the lake is dried up for a while now, but there’s still the Colorado river. Just a nice walk across the dry lake very peaceful neighborhood very clean and safe. Peace and quiet. Will stay here again.

The cottage was perfect for our group of 8, including 4 teens. The location couldn’t be better for shopping, groceries, dining, and hunting. Cindy was extremely helpful and attentive, making sure we had everything we would need. The extra special details like the coffee bar, bottled water, game room with the jukebox, nice front and back patio to sit and visit, supplied ice, and bedside plugs for phone chargers was nice and made it extra special. There were plenty of towels and some toiletries if needed, as well as the washer/dryer with detergent. With it being right on the main road and close to town, it was quiet and still felt like we were in our own little space. You can tell a lot of love and care went into making this house special for those visiting this cute town. I’m sure I’m missing some details, but we loved our stay, would highly recommend, and will be back!! Thank you, Cindy!

We enjoyed our stay at the lake. So peaceful and the view was stunning, especially at night. We did bring food to cook- the kitchen was well stocked and the gas grill came in handy. Just wanted a dishwasher afterwards. Would definitely stay again.
