Holiday rentals with a fire pit in San Pablo La Laguna

We loved it all! The quiet and clean location at rest, the sauna in the accommodation, the fruits and herbs that can be picked yourself, the availability of hosts as well as the beauty of the accommodation. A few things to consider: in January, it was pretty cold in the listing in the morning and at night. The accommodation is in a small secluded village, so it's best to have a car or a private driver to come and go. There is not much food accessible nearby, but there are a few restaurants 2-3 km away, "tiendas" and some food that can be bought directly from the host. Thank you for everything!

Ataraxia was a peaceful palace on a serene lake. I will never forget it! Our group of 12 friends could not believe how beautiful and luxurious it was. There are so many areas nestled throughout the property to relax and marvel at the beauty of the surroundings. Salvador does an amazing job maintaining all of the plants and landscaping. Rosa cooked a delicious dinner and two breakfasts, all on very short notice. The kayaks worked great. The lake water was perfect for jumping off the deck into. We spent as much time as we could in the heated pool. We were so sad to leave. Anyone would be lucky to stay here.

Monique's home is just as beautiful as the pictures indicate. We really liked the open living room and kitchen and the high ceilings. Comfortable living room furniture was nice. The best thing was Monique and house manager Shannon's responsiveness to all of our many questions, as well as their flexibility regarding our check in. She gave very clear directions, and her house helper Miguel welcomed us at the boat dock and walked us to the house, which is a mildly sweaty walk up a hill but so is almost every single other place in Santa Cruz. Miguel could not have been more polite and friendly. He helped with luggage and any other little thing we asked about, including laundry room usage. As with virtually the entire country, there were a few dogs that voiced their opinions in the night. This is so common that one should expect it anywhere at the lake.

Wow. We felt right at home as soon as we pulled on the street in our 4 minute Tuk Tuk from the town center. Christian welcomed us warmly as family and showed us the house and even helped recommend things to do as well as food. The space is beautiful and homey. His wife made us some amazing home made bread as well. The place is big and the kitchen is well stocked with essentials. The rooftop is absolutely gorgeous and serene. We spent time reading and lounging on the hammocks during a rain storm and also during sunny afternoon. We also walked 5 minutes down to the beach to watch sunrise and chill. This was one of the best stays we’ve had so far in Guatemala. It’s truly special to be welcomed to a beautiful home like this. Thank you & we can’t wait to come back again !!

Great place in the heart of San Marcos. Clean and bright, will stay again.

Christopher is a great host, always available and actively communicating. Our family had very nice time in the amazing private house with the lakeview and friendly staff who were very helpful. The house was clean and fully equipped with kitchen utensils as well as materials for firepit (prepared when we asked). The pool was big and clean, and was warm to our demand. We also had free Wifi, a large livingroom TV, and good speakers. Also all the bathrooms had bidet.

This is a gorgeous air bnb. The host has thought of everything and was very responsive to questions. The caretakers are kind and helpful. Our kids loved the hot tub and all the outdoor spaces. Beautiful landscaping and the lake is breathtaking. I loved the open-air feel. We stayed three nights and wished we could stay longer, it was so comfortable and relaxing. Thank you so much, Ana! Very good place and point . Highly recommended

I stayed at the apt for a month while I attended Griselda and Antonio's Spanish School. They are both very friendly people and responded immediately to any of my questions. The apt is large and spacious with spectacular views of the volcanos and lake. There is a front porch and a back patio to sit outside and a full kitchen. When I travel I'm always concerned about the bed because I have back problems but the bed was super comfortable and I slept great. Note there is no TV but I just watch movies on my laptop. To get to the house you follow a path back behind the main street. Antonio met me at the street and helped with my suitcase because part of the path is not paved. When it was time to leave, their son helped me back out. The location is a 15 min walk from the high tourist area which is great because that area is much more busy and noisy. Also, the internet is good and is reliable. I work online every day and had no problems.

It is a nice apartment with a nice view. Silvia was always on the lookout for anything we were offered. This apartment is next to a hotel that they let you use their facilities except to lend you their kayaks. Well-equipped and clean.

We had an absolutely amazing staying! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The host was incredible—one of the most helpful and kind people I’ve ever met. They provided clear instructions and always being available if we had any questions. Their hospitality truly made our experience even better. The location was perfect—convenient to everything we needed, yet peaceful and quiet at night. The bed was super comfortable, and all the amenities worked perfectly. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. If you’re considering booking this place, don’t hesitate—it’s truly a fantastic experience! We would love to stay here again in the future.

This was the perfect place to relax and explore Lake Atitlan for the first time. First time in Guatemala and Atitlan I had so many questions and Miguel answered every one of them graciously. Most helpful host I’ve ever had. Santa Cruz was a lovely quiet home base, just be aware not much goes on at night and travel to and from other towns at night isn’t easy. Sacred trees pool and private pier were gorgeous. We had a delicious Guatemalan breakfast delivered to our room every morning, and relaxing massages from local women one day! Also most comfortable bed and pillows :) Really I have nothing but glowing reviews for Miguel, his team, and Terra at Sacred Tree. Thank you for being so welcoming and making our first experience at Lake Atitlan a great one.

Our stay at Rocio's place was magical. The view of the lake was beautiful. The location was as described and you definitely need to find transportation to and from but we had no issues flagging down a tuk-tuk from the road. The place is compact but we were very comfortable there for two nights. The outside patio/deck area is the place to be.

I was there with my two sisters, and we highly recommend this place if you're thinking of visiting Lake Atitlan. A peaceful spot, the nature is beautiful! The place is simply magical, with a breathtaking view of the lake and the volcanoes, and medicinal herbs all around the property. Mackenzie regularly wrote to check that everything was going well, and Cheyo, who was on site, welcomed us with his big heart. We also did a temazcal ceremony with him, which we highly recommend! It was a deep and purifying experience. We ended our trip at this place, and it was the perfect ending! We wish we could have stayed longer. There's a café on site with meals, which was very convenient on the morning of our departure. The portions were very large and truly delicious! We were also given eggs and had the chance to pick some herbs, which allowed us to prepare a small dinner with a few other ingredients we bought. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. We hope to come back soon! :)

Magdalena was the perfect host and her home was beautiful! She was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. The location is a 15 minute walk or a short Tuktuk to get downtown. And the roof was amazing!

Our stay at this Airbnb in San Marcos, Lake Atitlán, was absolutely unforgettable. Having traveled the world, I can confidently say this was one of the most stunning accommodations I’ve ever experienced. The panoramic views of the lake and surrounding volcanoes were breathtaking, creating a truly magical atmosphere from sunrise to sunset. The accommodation itself was pristine, beautifully designed, and impeccably maintained, offering the perfect blend of comfort and nature. I highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting Lake Atitlán—it’s an experience you won’t forget!

The view from the spot is breathtaking and the tranquility you breathe makes it perfect to relax. Also, the host was exceptional, always attentive and willing to help with everything we needed.

It is hard to find a place in this town where you can rent the entire house and have greenery around you. Casa limon was just such a place. The host took the time to explain all the rules and was extremely flexible and accomodating. Very good bohemian vibes. Be sure that you have transportation to and from the village. Jonathan is very familiar with the area and always responded to any questions we had. If you've ever gone camping, or you like how older homes often have unique details about them, then you will enjoy this place. It has a very similar vibe.

This is our second stay at The Artist's Loft and it was just as peaceful as the first time in 2017. The view is breathtaking and I feel the best view of Lake Atitlan. The house is spacious, sunny and airy. I enjoyed the firm bed. The staff, Dorca, Milka and Nathanael were helpful and responsive. We enjoyed reading on the deck and had almost all our meals there. I became friends with the parrot Victoria and became attached to her. Everytime I saw her she made me laugh. We very much enjoyed our stay.
