Guesthouse holiday rentals in San Joaquin River

I was in the Bay Area for a work trip but wanted to find a quiet, safe spot to decompress. This garden and cabin were perfect! Everything was impeccably clean, and I loved that there is an emphasis on sustainability with a provided compost container - it's usually very difficult to stay eco-conscious while on the road. The animals were so soothing to be around! It got very chilly at night with some unusually cold weather for the area, but there were ample space heaters. The bathroom was small but very clean - I didn't get to use the shower since I was at a gym every day, but the tub was spacious. The hosts were very kind and offered to carry luggage and checked in if things were okay when we crossed paths. Street parking was extremely easy. I definitely recommend this spot!

Amy's place was wonderful - one of the few places we've ever stayed that was even better in person than in pictures. It was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The outdoor space was amazing, plenty of quiet spaces to lounge in the sun and walk around. The area was great as well, quiet but close to downtown, and Amy was a thoughtful and responsive host, we really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The one thing to note is that the Wi-fi could be unreliable - we both worked from the Airbnb, and made it work for the week, but something to note for future visitors. We'd definitely recommend this place and plan to come back next time we visit. Thank you Amy!

Great place to stay. Hot tub was perfect. Area is quiet, but close to the wharf and sights in Santa Cruz. Nights were cool and "central" heat didn't reach bedrooms, but space heaters were available- which was great. Mattresses are very firm, so keep that in mind. Erin was a very responsive host and all of our needs were met. Would stay again.

I had an absolutely tranquil and relaxing stay at this wonderful Airbnb! Nestled in a quiet suburb, it was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The garden was a true highlight, offering a peaceful space to unwind with its beautiful greenery and serene atmosphere. The neighborhood was calm, and I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

I’m a frequent traveler to the BBH. Barb and Ken really do a great job and are very attentive. If you’re searching reviews for a deciding factor - I can’t say enough good things about these wonderful people. (Unless your booking conflicts with mine. Then stay away. ). ;)

Quiet backyard pool house, compact and cozy. Just perfect for staying while I visited family in the area. Host very accommodating and responsive. Didn’t get the chance to use the hot tub, but it was right on the deck next to the house so would be convenient! Was cool when I arrived, but the heater worked great and was quiet and heated up quickly.

This is our second time staying at Ray's. Ray is a great host and always responsive to my requests. He has made upgrades to his home since our last visit. All of which were appreciated. We'll be back, Ray

Had a great stay for a two night work trip! Yao was extremely responsive, check-in was simple, and the space is clean, well equipped, and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again!

Taylor was an amazing host with an amazing space. She was very responsive throughout the process and met with us upon arrival to answer any questions we may have had. The interior and exterior were very clean and matched the description on the listing. The space had everything one would need to feel like home no matter the length of stay. The neighborhood is safe, quiet and close to whatever brings you to San Jose. We will make sure to stay more than a night next time to take advantage of the hot tub. I would easily recommend.

Peaceful, clean and beautiful!

For us location was all important as we have our daughter’s family within easy walking distance. And, since we mostly spent our time at her house, all we needed was a small, simple rental. This was perfect. The house reminds me of an efficiency apartment I once had. Bedroom, one bath, small but well equipped kitchen, and a sitting area. Very complete written instructions on getting in initially, parking, door locks, tv, wifi, and heating/ac. Let me add that Joyce was always very prompt to reply. Place is very private in a pleasant neighborhood. We will want to stay there again when visiting our daughter’s family.

Katie is a super host indeed! She was very responsive to all my questions even before booking. She was not at home when we arrived, so unfortunately we did not have the pleasure to meet her. Her guesthouse was beautiful and perfect for our needs. The private entrance was perfect for our late night coming and going. I highly recommend anyone to consider staying here, if you’re looking to travel to the great city of Santa Clara.

My husband & I were in need of a peaceful getaway, something we hadn't done in more than a year. I searched high and low for a place thar looked peaceful but wasn't an arm and a leg. Robert's place was just that & than some. We intended to leave earlier but something came up, we arrived at dark & although we found his street we had a hard time locating the actual home. Robert was outside waiting for us in the cold! Somedays I feel humankindness is lacking & than something like this happens. Robert guided us to our parking space. His communication was perfect, he asked if we had eaten and suggested we find something to eat earlier than later because places there don't stay open too late. We were impressed with everything, being away in the Redwoods allowed us to regain our peace💚 I really could go on & on, if you're wondering if you should chose Robert's place the answer is yes!

A very cozy and private place. It was a beautiful rainy day which made the stay even more comforting but I would definitely recommend Sara’s place. The place is well taken care of, very clean and instructions posted around the room to assure the cleanliness. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!

A great place to stay while visiting San Jose. Clean, very comfortable beds, and a fantastic setting on a hillside overlooking San Jose. Adorable family pet with a cute underbite visited us.

Thank you Kyle for being so responsive and accomodating my parking needs. The studio was clean, nicely furnished, and had everything you could need for a short or longer stay. The chickens were fun to see in the morning!

Michelle’s studio apartment was/is FANTASTIC! First, Michelle is delightful, and she has sweet, well trained, and BEAUTIFUL dogs. There’s an awesome shower, full kitchen—which was thoughtfully designed and stocked with pots/pans/plates and utensils you’ll need while travel-cooking. Very comfortable bed, too!! I highly recommend Michell’s room!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your Studio which is beautifully and completely furnished and equipped. Exceptional attention to detail. Many thoughtful extras both inside and out. We also loved the landscaping. An extremely enjoyable stay that we would be delighted to repeat for a future trip.

I wish we could have stayed longer. I grew up in Santa Cruz and the flat was exactly where we wanted to stay. An easy walk to the beach, town, nightlife and more. It's great to park the car and ignore it. Very comfortable place. Highly recommended.

This is my happy place! I've stayed here multiple times and can't wait to come back. All the best things in the world within reach - ocean, beaches, hiking, biking, great weather, close to restaurants and cafes.
