Willow Cottage nestled twixt coast and moorland

SimonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A wonderful couple of days away in a beautiful part of the country. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing half term mini break, we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with a fantastic view of Robin Hood’s Bay. Steve was a great host and supplied us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from local recommendations to fire logs. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, thank you Steve!

Hootsman

OliverRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Everything about this venue is lovely. Dog friendly, nice decor inside. 200m walk to a local pub which served great food. The WiFi struggled at times but only a minor issue as there was absolutely no signal on my phone. The only downside to the whole stay is that I was charged £50 to use the hot tub for two nights and I had to heat it myself as it was a natural one. If I was using their electric then fair enough but using extra wood (that I brought just in case) to do it myself, the price felt excessive. Also having spoken to family about some of the places they had stayed the cleaning fee of £50 felt a touch high compared to other properties of similar size. A few minor issues but overall a superb location and would recommend to others.

The Milking Parlour

RachaelRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a lovely stay in the milking parlour, check in was easy no messing around the cottage was ready for us when we arrived, the space is much bigger than it looks too. The cottage had everything you needed and a lovely open fire also, we used the shared hot tub every day it was absolutely lovely. The area is very remote which is lovely however for a week with 3 young children without having to drive 30 mins there wasn't lots to do but we were lucky with the weather so for us was brilliant if it was cold and rainy however I'm not sure it would've been the same. Whilst there we visited the roman fort, hadrians wall, walked into the local village, visited talking tarn country park where they had Mini golf and you can hire boats, we went to fairhill recreation ground that was a brilliant park for all ages and the dog loved it too! we also visited rowleys for raspberry picking which the kids even my 21 month old daughter absolutely loved! Loved this little place and will be back

Orchard House, luxury cottage retreat.

JoanneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at Orchard Cottage. The village is beautiful and the surrounding scenery is just perfect. We were very fortunate to see a barn owl on our first day, it was a real treat. The hot tub was fantastic and the temperature was spot on and it was a great place to take in the local beauty. The cottage was clean and tidy and we received some lovely welcome treats which were appreciated. We requested the second bedroom had the bed made up us a double rather than twins and this was done for check in. We met Henry when we arrived and he was lovely and very helpful and informative. We would definitely stay again, as the setting is so peaceful and the cottage was lovely and clean. I have to say that I expected some noise being on a working farm, but you could hear a pin drop which was fantastic, particularly in the mornings.

The Old Moat Barn - With Private Hot Tub

TomRating, 5 starstoday
Place we stayed was great only issue was there was a lack of contents in the cupboards resulting in us having to got to out and get supplies like milk, shower gel and shampoo from a corner shop which I would assume came with the price attached to the property. So in general I feel that it lacked basic facilities that you would expect for the price

The Retreat (private garden area with Hot Tub)

PhilipRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The retreat was amazing! Very clean, lots of space and very quiet / private. We were greeted with a bottle of prosecco, the hot tub was easy to operate and the place was very clean and cozy. Debbie was very friendly and proactive with her communication + very helpful when it came to special requests or questions about the area. Breakfast was also great with lots of choice, would definitely go again!

Romance or a rest at The Nest Castleton,Whitby!

JamieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Nest is exactly what it says on the tin: a cosy little stone cottage that has made the most of every nook and cranny! Considering its coziness, the cottage is well-equipped and has everything you’ll need during your stay. If staying in winter, you’ll need the log burner on the go, but upstairs will be toasty and comfortable. As a host, Annette is lovely and full of recommendations and is always responsive to a message, should you need her. There are some great walks on your doorstep and having the two pubs and a couple of local shops in the village is a bonus!

Cosy two-bed cottage. Sleeps 4. Pets welcome.

DavidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fantastic place! We loved staying here. The wood burner with logs made the place so cosy and warm at night. Great location with the George just round the corner and the Cod and Lobster literally 100yds away. Little snacks and everything you need in the kitchen were a lovely little treat. So peaceful and quiet. Thanks Keeley!

Cheerful & Quaint 18th Century cottage

MariaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay at Helen's cosy cottage. It's a lovely old building in a charming village. Helen has furnished the cottage in a comfortable, fun and quirky style which we loved. We slept in the sheep room, but there was no need to count them as the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep. Whitby and Robin Hood Bay are a short drive away and both are 'must see' attractions. We started each day, however, with a bracing walk on the moors. The village is in a picturesque location.

Cosy 1-bedroom cottage with indoor log burner

ShelleyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a brilliant stay at Wrens nest cottage. The location is great for exploring and Marske beach was great for the dog to have a good run. We loved being able to walk into town in the evening for few drinks. Brass monkey was particularly good and twisted peel has some great cocktails. Almost everywhere is dog friendly. The cottage is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. The bed is comfortable and the bed linen is good quality and smelled lovely. The bathroom is gorgeous and the bath is fantastic. We enjoyed lighting the fire in the evening and watching Netflix on the smart tv. The enclosed courtyard is a real bonus if you have a dog.

Dryden Cottage, Whitby Harbour - Beach side

JohnRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
This is a great little cottage with fabulous beach views and a great location! It is well furnished with everything you would need and thankfully not full of clutter. The view from the window across Tate Beach to the harbour is glorious and we have spent happy hours watching the sea changing. There are great bars and restaurants very close by, and nothing in Whitby is a long walk away.

Bowline Cottage Whitby - 3 bedrooms with parking

MichelleRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We have just back from a very pleasurable Christmas Break at this lovely accommodation. It was in such a perfect location meaning we could walk everywhere within no time at all but also tucked away so free from any noise in the evening. The car park space was an added bonus which we had no difficulties with even in the dark!! The house itself is just as it is described with everything ground could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped for even our Christmas dinner so you can’t ask for any better than that. We loved just sitting down there with the radio on whilst dinner was cooking. The living room was cosy and we really appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations that were out on display, they were a nice touch for our Christmas stay. The hosts were very informative prior to arrival, with very clear instructions for everything we needed to arrive and check in. All in all we would highly recommend to anyone and we will be back!!

Demeter Cottage

We had a fantastic stay at Demeter Cottage in Whitby! The accommodation is in a perfect location in the charming old town, making it an ideal base for exploring both Whitby and the surrounding areas. The cottage itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My grandchildren really enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies and couldn’t wait to go back in the evening to relax after a busy day! Communication from the owner was excellent—clear, concise, and very helpful in ensuring a smooth arrival. Whitby is a wonderful place to visit with so much to see and do, and staying at Demeter Cottage made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Fantastic place. We really loved our stay in the cosy cottage. Lovely village, great walks around the local area and a bit further afield.
