We have stayed at this property several times and it is always clean and easy to access. Sarah is great at communicating and responds quickly if needed. We enjoy the view from the private sandy beach and the nostalgic vibe of the house and furnishings. We’ve been able to find some good restaurants locally and the grocery store is convenient and well stocked and friendly. I would definitely recommend this property!

This home and host were such an incredible find! Of all the locations you can choose for a weekend getaway with a waterfront view, I would 1000% recommend this place. The hosts went above and beyond for me, they were so accommodating and responded quickly! This home is even better in person, from decor to the views you get from the living room and bedroom. They did a beautiful job making it feel cozy and thought of everything you might need during your stay. What I especially loved is that it’s very private. Perfect for a relaxing family trip.

We stayed at Firefly cabin for a fall getaway, and to go mining for Herkimer diamonds. This place is so magically beautiful, very comfortable, clean, and relaxing. Having everything there such as firewood, kayaks, books/games/TV, made it that much harder to leave. The lake is beautiful, was so nice enjoying the foliage all around. The fire pit was awesome! Beds were comfortable, and I actually liked having my own linens/towels. The claw foot tub was my best friend after mining all day! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing cabin, Linda and Steve. We hope to return in a warmer time to take full advantage of the lake!

The place was amazing, the kitchen was great and has everything as far as pots and pans, spices , etc… The location is great, 8 minutes to Cooperstown and all the restaurants And close to Oneonta. Craig and Christina keep the place very clean and we had a little snow and they were on top of it and had us plowed out in no time. I would highly recommend staying at their cottage. Me and my family came to stay for the weekend just to get away and do nothing. It was so peaceful! We watched sunsets every night had a fireplace outside with wood available to use. Everything we forgot to bring, we were able to find and use here. Instantly felt like we were home away from home with the beautiful cozy furnishings. Everything was clean and had plenty of towels. We will definitely try to come back, as there was something everyone in my family enjoyed! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Maura's Guest House was perfect for a family get-together in Wells when we all couldn't squeeze into our father's house. It's very comfy, cozy, and clean, as well as well-appointed with everything you need to relax and enjoy the Adirondacks. Maura was quite helpful and responsive. Wells itself is a quiet little town on Lake Algonquin with a small beach and a local food market less than a 5-minute walk. A lengthy list of activities, hiking trails, and restaurants (Hint: Alpine Grille Th-Sun) in the area is provided. Highly recommend this peaceful gem!

This is a large, beautiful and mostly well-appointed home in a scenic area and high-end neighborhood. The house is in very good condition with clean and comfortable furnishings. It worked very well for our fairly large group of 3 couples and two adult children. Each couple and child had their own comfortable bedroom with space to spare. It was a wonderful home base for us to visit with local families in the area for holiday celebrations. My only minor issues were: While the seating in the living room was quality, clean and comfortable, it was not an ideal arrangement for the space, and also, while the kitchen was large, clean, new-looking it is challenging to cook for the number of guests the house can accommodate. The beautiful kitchen was not really equipped to the size and standard it deserved. All that said, we would definitely stay again with pleasure.

This house was spacious, in an easy location right outside Cooperstown, clean and exactly as pictured. All the bedrooms were equally nice, heating system worked great for winter and kitchen was great for cooking. Wonderful to have two large bathrooms and showers. We were there during a snow storm and it was super pretty outside as well. Thanks Dave!
