Peaceful relaxation or jumping off point & hot tub

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fabulous place! Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and private. Claudia was extremely kind and responsive throughout our stay. House was beautiful and very spacious, would recommend you pack warm during the winter months as it got a bit chilly but with some fluffy socks, blankets and a cup of tea it was perfectly cosy! Hottub was amazing, always warm and nice and clean. Thank you!

Beautiful barn conversion/hot tub views

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was my first stay in an Air BnB and Amanda at Humbug Barn has set the bar so high I will only ever be disappointed anywhere else! The Barn itself is modern, cosy, comfortable and had everything in it you could have wanted and more. It was impressively equipped from beautifully Humbug barn branded spices in the kitchen, an array of different drinking glasses, board games, dvds, flip flops for the hot tub, towels and treats for the dog to sanitary products in the bathroom. On top of that Amanda supplied a beautiful welcome basket of bread , milk etc (I don't want to list it all and spoil the lovely surprises!). We also indulged in the unusual option of having home cooked meals on both nights of our stay and these also did not disappoint, I would recommend this option if you're out all day and want to just stay in and enjoy the property in the evening. The beds were very comfortable and the property was warm. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Amanda x

Grade II listed barn conversion & Hot-tub

JodiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Ben and Shae were so helpful in recommendations, instructions and even directions to the location. They even helped with putting up some birthday banners in advance of check in despite having a baby due over our stay dates. 100% would recommend and will be staying again.

Cottage in the Forest of Dean, Hot Tub on request

HowardRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a wonderful two days away in a tucked away gem right near the Forest of Dean. The accommodation is very homely and well equipped and super cosy. If your a light sleeper like me be warned it is right on a main road so there is some traffic noise and vibration from the lorries but my other half argues he didn't hear a thing! We arrived when it was dark so when the morning light appeared and we opened the curtains we were taken away by the absolutely beautiful setting of the grounds. Tracey and David have done a wonderful job and they are so lovely. Would recommend to anyone looking for a warm and comfortable spot. Took the time to acknowledge our special occasion and left us with the most delicious coffee and fresh bread. In making the effort in those final touches really added to the charm.

Romantic cosy cottage & hottub in Forest of Dean

LilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a great stay. The cottage was so cute and the hosts were very friendly and attentive. Beautiful views too! The processo was also a thoughtful touch. Although, we were slightly disappointed that we couldn't use the hottub for long on the first night as it was too cold. You do sign a waver on arrival and it explains that the hottub water gets changed every stay so in the colder months it may take longer to heat up. Which is fine but we didn't know that at the time we booked and only stayed two nights. Would definitely stay again but perhaps in the warmer months!

Flagstone Cottage, Broadley Farm

Jean-MaryRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Wonderful long weekend at Flagstone Cottage, the most peaceful place we’ve ever been, no car noises whatsoever and beautiful scenery. Cottage was exactly as described. We asked for the BBQ to come back out and Clare actually brought out all the outside furniture for us to use which was a nice surprise when we got back from our day trip. Our 5yo daughter loved the mezzanine bedroom and being able to have multiple baths a day (we only have a shower at home). The walk from Llanthony Priory up Hatterhall hill is amazing and the pint in the priory grounds at the end was very scenic and rewarding! Hay-On-Wye is well worth a visit, Abergavenny also.

Coach House Annex - Annedd Bach - Wye Valley

SarahRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The photos don't do this place justice! We had a lovely stay here for a long weekend and it had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, pillows and duvet included. It was clean and had lovely big towels and shower gel in the showers. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils, crockery and kitchen equipment plus complimentary teas and coffee. The view in the morning was beautiful and the owner was helpful to answer any questions. Definitely worth a visit with 2 local pubs to visit!

Homely 2 bed cottage in the beautiful Wye Valley

MarkRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We have had a fantastic weekend at Kerry's place. Beforehand we had a very specific question and her response was kind and helpful. Our stay was wonderful- the cottage was beautiful, clean, well-equipped and was cosy despite the cold weather. We have been doing self catering holidays and short breaks around the country for over 25 years and this was easily in our top 5 cottages. Can't wait to come back.

Lovely little cottage where I based myself for a week with my dog. There's a track that leads up into the woods to the left of the cottage and you can walk and walk. House was lovely and clean, everything you need for self catering. Quiet and peaceful and Lorraine was a lovely host.

The Covey, a Tudor cottage for two.

PaulineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Covey is a truly unique and beautiful place to stay. It’s like stepping back in time with its oak beams and original features. The garden and views are beautiful. Sarah is an excellent host and there is loads of useful local information provided in the cottage. There are lots of places to visit within a fairly short drive. We found the cottage to be clean, warm and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cherry Cottage, the perfect hideaway

SallyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Had a lovely few days here over Xmas, the cottage was really cosy. There was plenty of wood for the wood burner, so we were nice and warm. The kitchen is reasonably well stocked, although there was no salt or oil, so don't assume that it will have everything that you need, that said, I managed to cook a Xmas dinner for us all with no problems. The location is lovely, with some good walks from where the car was parked, but make no mistake, those steps are not for the faint hearted, so pack light (unlike us who brought an entire xmas down the steps-then back up!!!) All in all, a lovely stay and would return (although with less stuff!)

A beautiful cottage set in spectacular grounds

LucyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Just back from a glorious relaxing (and much needed) weekend at Martins place, it was exactly what was needed. Peaceful, cosy and secluded. The house was beautiful with lovely little extras like board games, toiletries, little nic naks in the kitchen and aside from the amazing, huge and comfortable bed, the best think for me was the huge towels....nothing worse than the tiny ones most places have 🤣 these were great big, wrap around you almost twice, soft, fluffy towels ❤️ We can't recommend anything from the local area, we stayed in with the fire roaring until we left to go home. absolutely wonderful ❤️

Home Cottage - @ House of Bread holiday cottages

KatherineRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I visited Home Cottage with 3 friends for a weekend away, the cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the forest of Dean. its obvious that Lindsey takes really good care of the cottages, it was pristine and stocked with all the amenities we needed. though Lindsey lives next door it felt very private and we really enjoyed using the hot tub. We would definitely return again in the future :)

Quaint cottage, tranquil garden, bucolic views

Lauren EmmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay at Sophie’s cottage. Firstly, Sophie was a fantastic host. Super communicative and helpful. The cottage had everything we needed, and was in a great location a few miles from Ross which has nice walks and restaurants, but also nearby other small villages. We had two dogs with us who had a wonderful time. The property has a lovely big field which the dogs had a blast in, and there are plenty wonderful walks a short drive away. The surrounding fields are stunning and proved a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of London.

Scenic 1-bedroom cottage with beautiful views

KarenRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely, relaxing few days in this gorgeous cottage. It was spotless, the bed was so comfy and the cottage was ideally located to explore the area. Natalie and Chris were very attentive and even left some delicious, homemade brownies for us. We cannot recommend the cottage highly enough.
