Holiday houses in Rutshuru

Alice was so great with our baby and Elise (the cook) made delicious food for us and our baby. Anything tour related such as hiking Mount Bisoke ask Peterson. All of the staff went above and beyond to help us. Alice came to the Market with us to buy Rwandan imigongo (pictures) and Kitenge (traditional fabrics). All in all our group highly recommends staying at the Urugano Virunga Palace when you come to Musanze. :)

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful treehouse! The host was incredibly responsive, always answering our inquiries promptly, which made the entire experience seamless. The arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow, so finding the place was a breeze. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They were extremely helpful—calling the nearby restaurant to deliver food whenever we needed and even arranging motorbikes for us as we were leaving. Their attentiveness really stood out! The treehouse itself is stunning, nestled close to the lake and surrounded by nature. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We’ll definitely be recommending this treehouse to friends and family and can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Munezero’s place is a spacious guesthouse that was perfect for our American family of 3 adults to stay. The guesthouse was very comfortable with 2 sizable bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, sitting area, and a bathroom with a hot water shower. Everything was very clean. Munezero’s home is right off a paved road and she provided Google map directions so it was easy to find. Munezero was very welcoming once we arrived! In the kitchen she provided a complimentary spread for breakfast including fresh fruits, a loaf of bread, eggs, and a selection of teas. She was very helpful with local recommendations and even offered to connect us with guides. We would definitely come back when we’re in town!

The drive there was hard but the place was super nice with a beautiful view, Philemon was very helpful and clean and my favorite was Zulu the Dog! Great place

Finally found what we were looking for. Well thought out layout and equipment, tastefully decorated and high quality finishes. Road is perfect all the way to the door step. And the view from the verandah is breathtaking. Thanks Christian, Jackline and Lillian for making our stay in Musanze so comfortable.

Our stay at Bertrand's place in Ruhengeri / Musanze was great. We travelled in a group; having the annex and the main house for the two distinctive parts of our groups really helped. The annex is still very spacious to have four people stay there incl. a separate terrace and a separate living room area. The living room area in the main house is super spacious, and there are two terraces to the front and the back. The entire accommodation - kitchen and bathrooms incl. - is spotless clean, linen, towels and mattresses are new. The area is quite, which is wonderful when traveling there from noisy Kigali. Communication with Betrand and Imma was always timely and easy.

No words to discribe Aheza. The house, the service, the place with the view of the volconoes just from the front porch, all was great. The service provided by Harriet and her team (William, Vestina and Robert) was top notch. If you want to have a great stay, this is the place to be.

I booked this place for my family and she was very understanding. In our challenging journey she was compassionate and she was very flexible. Thank you Agatha. You stand well in many who could not even respond on time. Will highly recommend .

Donald is always innovating, trying to create a better experience for the guests. The place changes every time and that’s a good thing. He is responsive to feedback and communicates clearly for the comfort of the guest.

I stayed in Alberto’s place with my family for a work trip combined with a long weekend getaway. The house is spacious, has all of the basics, and is walking distance from Alberto’s B&B La Locanda and other restaurants like Traveling Roots. The house has 6 bedrooms, a large kitchen and living/dining room area, and multiple bathrooms with hot water. What we didn’t realize in advance was the incredible size of the garden and outdoor spaces. The garden is enormous and full of flowers, plants, space to play, and several species of birds. There are chickens with fresh eggs for breakfast and a lovely goat. My kids were particularly thrilled by the in-ground trampoline and spent hours on it everyday. This is a perfect spot for families/groups, a home base for gorilla trekking and tourism, or for a quiet getaway. The WiFi was fast and the house had everything we needed. Jean Claude, the groundskeeper, was friendly and always available. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back!
