Holiday houses in Rum Island

What a nice spot to enjoy. Place and amenities were as described. The place, while small (as described), was very nicely appointed and inviting —perfect spot to relax inside or to expand your living space at the “cabana” with its covered area and large outdoor couch, along with George Foreman electric grill, and then dock on the 60 acre spring fed lake and water toys. Only a few places on the lake so it felt very comfy and quiet. Lots of water birds, plus Sandhill cranes, and an eagle too. We went to The Yearling Restaurant on Cross Creek and recommend that for a tasty meal and local history. Tefa and Jaclynn are great hosts—easy to communicate with and timely responses. Everything functioned as expected. It was a great easy-going place and location to enjoy a peaceful relaxing weekend. Great place all around!

We had a great stay. Wonderful view of the lake and lots of laughs around the fire pit. Porch is great. Donna was very responsive, and the house had a lot of little things that are nice to not have to run out to the store to get.

One of the best Airbnbs ever! Gary and Judy have thought of everything! My husband throughly enjoyed the piano! He misses his on vacation and was thrilled to be able to play for several hours. Quiet, peaceful, clean and well laid out! Loved it, only wish we had stayed longer. Thank you!

Thanks for letting us share your beautiful home! We had some visitors in the backyard both mornings of our stay. A family of deer joined us for our morning coffee. We utilized the boat ramp and went paddle boarding on both days despite the 30 degree weather. We really enjoyed our time here. We never even used the TV. I’d definitely book it again if available. The Great Outdoors is a restaurant that’s really good but about 20 minutes away. The Spanish place across the street has amazing cuisine as well.

Lesley’s place was great. We enjoyed the firepit out by the lake at night. It was peaceful and calm. The host provided fish gear and tackle. We unfortunately run out of time. There are many great restaurants within a short drive that we enjoyed. We hope to be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Greg and Denise's place and are eager to stay again. Incredible location right along the river in short walking distance to two springs! Greg and Denise were very responsive and accommodating. While I loved exploring the river by canoe, I think my favorite part of my stay was waking up early, walking down to the river, and watching the fog move through the cypress trees with a hot cup of coffee! Thank you both so much!

We had a good time there, Lisa was always quick to answer any questions we had or meet us at the cabin. While we were there it was colder and on and off rain so she recommended more things to do in towns near by other than kayaking. We had fun! We found a bowling place, museum and thrift stores. She also reserved my dates and waited until I got payed. Thank you again so much!

Nice quiet area with so many springs nearby! Daniel was there to greet me at check in and was very nice! It was very private and my son was able to enjoy the fire pit. Remember, this is in the Florida woods, so there will be insects. Overall, it was a nice stay for my first camper experience.
