Wonderful , very clean, warm, and cozy cottage perfect for those who love XC skiing ( 4 minutes from XC ski headquarters. ) The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. We love the dog friendliness! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils including a well seasoned cast iron skillet. Maggie was friendly and just a text away for questions. We will be back! We do recommend in winter 4 wheel drive for area roads.

This place was amazing and you were a great host!! We absolutely love it and it helped make our wedding weekend absolutely perfect.. the only bad thing about it was the bar and some of the parking but it was amazing!!

Nice place to stay it was a quick stop just to sleep but was worth it. I am just waiting on a response I just sent to find my husbands earbud that he took off in the bed and forgot there. Hopefully we can get it figured out. We would stay in the future

The home was very clean. It sat off the road and had a fenced back yard so our dog could run in the yard without worry. It was warm and cozy inside. Deer walked right through the yard! I took pictures of them. It was close to restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay here again!

Planned a last minute trip to Houghton lake. Joe’s place was great to stay at with the family. He made arrangements for us to use the pontoon even though he was ready to pull it out of the water. The kids enjoyed the garage full of games, and the view was beautiful sitting in the sun rooms. We will be back!

Place was easy to find and was 5 min from our boat launch where we fish so we were super happy about that! Was super clean & homey. Very affordable! Will be returning for next ice fishing season!

We booked this place last minute, and couldn’t be more glad we did! The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, making the whole experience seamless. The house itself is stunning—clean, well-organized, and beautifully set up. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice! The surroundings are equally beautiful and added so much charm to our stay. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable retreat.

We stayed for 8 nights. EVERYTHING in the house was as described in the listing - so spacious and comfortable! Everything worked well, and even the pots and pans were in good condition. The wall of one-way windows in the great room was awesome! It was like being in nature without actually being in nature :-). You could almost reach out and touch the family of deer and birds that stopped by each day. I set up my workstation there (wifi worked great) and even enjoyed having to work! One of my favorite parts of the experience was stepping outside into complete silence! Such a welcome change to the city. We also loved the snow! We were so pleased that Dustin's guy came by promptly to clear the driveway each time more snow fell. All in all, this was one of our most relaxing, picturesque, and care-free vacay's. Thanks, Dustin, for sharing your lovely home! It's on our "repeat list" for sure.

Great place for the family. Plenty of things to do at the house. Also not too far from Traverse City or Boyne Mountain. Would definitely stay here again!!

Timothy was an excellent host. He was very responsive to my initial questions as someone who is newer to renting an AirBnB and was quick to help when I called about an issue with one of the smoke alarms on arrival (extremely minor, just a faulty battery, but I wanted to make sure to ask before deactivating it). Overall a nice place to stay, I would definitely return in the future!

I booked Andrew’s place at the very minute. Andrew accepted our booking and when we got there, it was an amazing place with an amazing view. The place has all the amenities for 4 families to stay. All our family members loved the separate cabins for the privacy yet we spent significant amount of time in the main house. The place had multiple outdoor activities ready for us. It is a safe and quiet place. Andrew/hosts were super fast at responding to our requests and flexible. I already recommended this to my families and planning to book again in the near future. Thank you for everything and we are already planning to come back soon.

We had a big group, and all had places to sleep. The kitchen-living room area is big and accommodated our whole group for games and watching football. The lake view is amazing, and we were able to walk to several local bars. We had a great time staying here and the host communicated quickly.

Patrick was great to communicate with and the place is just as it looks in the pictures. Spacious and well laid out with all the amenities of home. It has a great modern feel with charming vintage accents and is quote comfortable for long or short stays. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had a great weekend at Roseann‘s place on the lake snowmobiling access to restaurants access to the lake. It was just a great time. Everything we needed was in the home and the home was beautiful. Thank you, Roseann.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Eric’s place! It was a mild weekend for Michigan winter, and we enjoyed cross country skiing at the nearby XC Headquarters and a delicious dinner at the Cut River Grille. The living room was comfy for a game night with our travel companions. Eric was easy to contact and the place was a perfect cozy cottage for our weekend! The little touches for hospitality, like having the driveway plowed/salted, coffee filters, extra new toothbrushes, and extra blankets were greatly appreciated. Looking forward to our next trip up north!

Shawn was a great host, very responsive and polite. The cabin was very clean, cozy and in a good location. Very close to the north side DNR launch so we were able to get our snowmobiles on the lake very easily. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay with our family and really enjoyed both the location of being just a couple miles from Higgins Lake, and having a well stocked house. The kitchen was great and we were able to make our meals easily, the couches in the living room were comfortable, nice fire pit outside for the evening, and coffee was even supplied. We would definitely stay again. Thank you. 😊
