Cottage holiday rentals in Rivington

Lovely place to relax for the few days between Christmas and NY. Spent the days walking with the dogs and then back for the hot tub! Really quiet area with not much around but that was exactly what we wanted. Thank you

where to begin, we both fell in love with the cottage instantly. from the log burner, huge kitchen, beautiful jacuzzi bath, spacious bedroom and private little sanctuary with a hot tub in the garden. 2 days just wasn't long enough. Sally and Nick couldn't have been any nicer and exceeded all expectations. hope to see you again soon.

We just needed somewhere to stay and chill for a few days away from the day to day rat race and this place certainly lived upto it's description. The place is beautiful and spotless with everything you need including a perfect host, thanks Kathryn,hope to see you again soon.

The cottage was just what we wanted, quiet, private an enclosed area for the dogs & a hot tub to relax. The weather was beautiful so made use of sitting out in the evening with fire pit. There was a huge field opposite cottage for dogs to run on & a lovely restaurant on site - we made use of the lovely circular walk around the grounds. We had a great long weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Liz’s cottage! From the moment we arrived, Liz and her husband Ian were the perfect hosts — warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. Our kids had the best time, especially with all the hands-on farm experiences. Ian was kind enough to let them explore his tractor, while Liz took them on a fun tour to feed the chickens, collect fresh eggs, and spend time with the horses and ponies. The cottage itself was lovely — clean, cozy, and perfectly situated by the river, offering stunning views. The added bonus of a spa and hot tub really made our stay extra special. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure for the whole family. We’re already looking forward to visiting again.

The place was spotless when we got there and the location was amazing. will definitely go again and the views from the place were amazing it was only a short drive into the town centre. It had everything we needed to cook a full meal. Paula was very welcoming and gave us all the information that we needed before arriving

We thoroughly enjoyed a weekend at the cottage! The hot tub was amazing and the property is just as described and very clean! There are lots of walks nearby and local friendly pubs. Would highly recommend.

Great stay. The welcome hamper was a lovery treat, location and views were amazing, hot tub and pool table was great and the property was plenty big enough for 6 of us. Even the weather was great for February. Only downside was there was only one bathroom which I knew before I booked but the master bedroom being so large could have easily fit in a small ensuite. Also the kitchen floor was very sticky when we arrived (but looked clean) just a bit off putting to walk on. Would deffinately come back though.

Recommend 100%, and definitely will come back one day. Property was cozy, well-stocked, and had the perfect layout for spending time with friends. The host was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed here with my girlfriend over valentine's weekend, we had a really lovely stay. The barn is very cosy and is great for peak district walks straight from the front door! Gemma (the host) is very friendly, proactive and remarkably responsive to messages. The kitchen is well equipped and there is even a small TV for rainy days/evenings. Thank you for a great weekend!

Sarah’s cottage is wonderful. Cosy, clean and warm. Being directly opposite a fantastic pub/restaurant certainly helped! Waddington is a charming little village with all the amenity of Clitheroe on the doorstep. I’ll certainly be staying again!

We had a lovely stay. Jill was super responsive and accommodating which made our stay extra nice and comforting. The house is very well looked after with everything you may need for a weekend away or even longer stay. Jill offered great recommendations for local restaurants which there was plenty of. The surrounding area was great for walking, farm shops and local goods. It was very easy to get to the national park which is what we needed. Absolutely loved our stay!

A lovely cosy cottage, nicely furnished with very comfortable beds and a great sized kitchen. Beautifully decorated for Christmas.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, whilst visitong family in the area, just before Christmas. The place is in a stunning location, and instructions were very clear on getting there and getting in. The house was very comfortable, clean and exactly as described. Oliver was a very thoughtful and responsive host. Given it was the weekend before Christmas, there were some decorations to mark the season, which my daughter loved. We asked last minute to stay an extra night and Oliver was very accommodating and kind. Highly recommend!

superb little cottage in a rural setting. Amanda was great at providing us with all information required. even came to see us on arrival. cottage was spotless, well equipped, peaceful and cosy. perfect location for walking, a stones throw from Haworth, perfect for HHebden Bridge. thoroughly recommended. we will be back.

Ahh what a gorgeous bolthole to relax, focus, or use as a base for the great outdoors! We came up North to visit family and I ended up travelling ahead of my husband and little ones so that I could focus on a university assignment. I was therefore able to experience Robin Cottage as both a quiet refuge and as a spacious, family-friendly, home-from-home. Jennifer and Caesar went above and beyond, responding quickly to messages and requests. I ended up staying an extra night and needed to check out later which Jennifer was able to accommodate, which enabled me to finish off my work. There are some beautiful walks in the area which provided a welcome respite from being stuck in front of a screen! We have stayed in lots of holiday cottages but this might just be the best one. It has everything you could possibly need! And it is the first time I have been a little sad to get back to my own (very comfy) bed. The beds there were another level. We would love to return for a longer stay.

The hosts were very considerate and welcoming, making sure they had the heating on for us and checking to make sure everything was okay before we arrived. very fast at responding if we had any questions, and the house was lovely and cosy, had everything we needed and was a great place to stay for our weekend!

Emma was really helpful and responsive before and during the stay. It was my daughter and family who stayed there over Christmas and she said the following: Emma’s cottage was lovely and had everything we could have needed. It was perfect as a base close to family but also for visiting the surrounding areas of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. We also really appreciated the place being decorated for Christmas - it felt really homey and welcoming! Would definitely recommend

Great way to spend our NYE, the cottage was so peaceful and private. Great space for the dogs to run in the garden, weather weren't on our side but the house was fully equipped and had games too so that it didn't matter! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be looking to book again!

Annabelle’s cottage was cosy, warm and beautifully decorated, somehow even more beautiful than the photos with amazing views of the countryside! Kitchen was incredibly well equipped for a good chef up. Unlimited wood was offered for the log burner in living room, jacuzzi tub outside was lovely and hot once we got the knack of filling it half full, then waiting a bit for hot water to replenish to fill the rest. Derek was a lovely, incredibly helpful and kind man, he left us to it but was there when we needed him for advice or ideas on what the local area had to offer. Garstang had some lovely little pubs (Farmers Arms especially) and a nice river walk too. Bed was comfy, loads of space throughout the home and for a tootle around the land with a gorgeous little river to explore. Just wish we had longer to enjoy it!! We will be back again I’m sure.
