Shepherds hut holiday rentals in River Dyfi

Had a lovely few days stay. Was a very tranquil location and very relaxing. Stopping by to see the animals on site was a wonderful experience. The kitchen was equiped with enough pans to make meals while we stayed there. The shop was a wonderful touch to pick up produce from the farm or just a few ammenities that might be needed. So relaxing to sit in the hot tub in the evening after exploring local attractions which have very helpfully been highlighted in a small guide. Looking to return in summer to make full use of the bbq on site and firepit.

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

A beautiful place to stay that was very comfortable for our stay (2 adults, 2 children and a dog). Located a short drive from Barmouth town and beach, it is ideally located out of the way and within a very peaceful setting. The private garden is very well maintained and looks out to sea that shows beautiful sunsets. The shepherds hut was spacious enough for our stay and had everything that we needed. Thank you Hayley and Gareth. We had a lovely weekend.

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

I have stayed at Gilwern several times, and as with each previous occasion I found Emma had made a huge effort to ensure the accommodation was very comfortable and well presented. I love the views, the peace and quiet, and always enjoy trying to find a fossil in the quarry. I will hope for another return trip in a year or two.

Amazing place! Unbelievable amount of effort has gone into the craftsmanship of the huts and the whole area of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands. Loved our stay and would highly recommend!

We visited for a few weekdays in February which is very “off season” for a break in Wales, and the hut was perfect for this with everything we needed. The location is rural, but thanks to the clear instructions from the host we were able to find and check in with ease. There was a list of local amenities available within the hut, making decisions easier on where to go and what to do. The hut itself was very clean and private, perfect for relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and you can tell a lot of thought had gone into the design and layout of the place. There was an on site 24 hour shop that stocked everything you may need/had forgotten which is a great idea as it meant you could self serve without having to take a drive to the local village for supplies. The hot tub was ready to use whenever we wanted to, and there was a lovely view of the surrounding hills to enjoy whilst in there. The log burner kept the entire place warm and cozy, it was a great place to visit!

I had a lovely stay at Jackie and Howard’s Shepherds Hut. The bed was so comfortable I snoozed my alarm 5 times to stay in it for longer. The cooking facilities were perfect. The underfloor heating was amazing and kept me nice and cosy. The lemon drizzle cake made by Jackie was delicious, and it was very nice to have eggs from their hens on my toast in the morning. I was staying while on a work trip and I really hope I have to come back this way for work again so that I can enjoy another chilled stay here. Thank you for having me. X

I was so excited to be staying in the shepherds hut and it did not disappoint, the views were just amazing with lots of windows to look out and admire the view… the underfloor heating kept the hut lovely and warm with a gas heater to add extra heat if needed, it was so peaceful and relaxing, I only stayed 1 night but would definitely like to return again, it was lovely to see the alpacas checking out their new guest, carol and her husband were extremely friendly, I will absolutely recommend the hut for a stay

Stunning hut with amazing views right on the door step. Very homely and well finished, wasn't expecting such comfort. Host was very friendly and recommended the pub in the village, even offering a lift, pub was so good we went twice. Only thing to be wary of is the uneven track to the hut but was manageable when going slow. Overall great stay and amazing access to the local area

Perfect couple of nights away on my own with my 1 year old. We had such a nice time toddling around looking at the horses and sheep. Everything in the hut we needed and more. Very private and left to enjoy

Gorgeous hut was bigger than it appeared in the add very luxury, clean and all mid cons. Catherine & Brian very friendly and a lovely welcome pack on our arrival. Will definitely being going back

Our stay at Tiffany and Shaun’s Shepard hut was fantastic. They are lovely hosts and couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome. They left a birthday card in the hut which was extremely clean and well presented. The sauna was a brilliant addition to the stay. We would 100% recommend staying here. Thank you again!

Our stay was wonderful - the hut was just beautiful and the location is stunning. Trish and Paul really have thought of everything - you can clearly see the care that's gone into making the hut a perfect place to unwind and they gave us such a warm welcome. We'll definitely be back!

Great stay at Mark and Jonathan's shepherds hut. Very clean and tidy up on arrival, clear instructions on check in and great aesthetic inside the hut itself. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us a great recommendations.

We have just returned from our minimoon after our wedding on Friday. Our stay exceeded our expectations! Bryn's communication was exceptional. He was flexible with our plans changing to include our fur baby, answered messages quickly and with accurate map Pins to make places easy to find. His recommendations were great, the nearby pub 'The Ravon' - delicious food, attentive staff and a cosy atmosphere. The nearby indian, wow the best we've had and the 'Bay Tree Cafe' what a gem! Bryn was friendly, approachable and went above and beyond to make our stay special with newly wed bunting, a bottle of bubbles and some homemade produce which was super tasty. Everything from the property itself, to the log burner, views and hot tub made our stay one we will never forget. It was a really special time as we enjoyed our new bubble as husband and wife! We will definitely return, Bryn has a special set-up here and his personable approach makes it. We will be regualars how. The Listers x

This was a wonderful place that felt a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The setting is amazing if you like walking and wildlife and we didn’t want to leave.

Amazing from start to finish Very lucky that the weather was on our side! Just as described. Beautiful place with stunning views and plenty of walks near by. Easy to find as the postcode takes you straight to the location. Amazing place if you have dogs as the outside space is secluded. Even though it’s a working farm, you feel like you have the entire place to yourself Will 100% return
