Castle holiday rentals in Rhone-Alpes

We had 2 wonderful weeks in historical ambiance and beautiful surroundings. The reception by Catherine was super friendly and her many tips very helpful. The possibilities for exploration and activities are numerous (cave visit, Lyon, visit to medieval villages in the area, swimming in the Ain, paddle excursions) Thanks to Catherine and family!

Beautiful estate, we had a great time with the family. The place is very quiet, suitable for young children who appreciate the contact with the animals present on the site. The gite is spacious, well-equipped. Would definitely recommend.

The place is very pretty, surrounded by greenery. The terrace opens directly to the chapel which is beautiful, and the castle on the other side. The sound of the river is relaxing and it is a very good setting to rest. We were very well hosted on top of all that. Only small negative, the humidity due to the river, and a little noise sometimes because of the nearby road, but it's still light. I highly recommend, our group of friends had a great stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Chateau de la Chambre. Dominique and Alain were wonderful hosts - we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The area is stunning - not very touristy but that was a positive for us! Beautiful villages and easy to reach Lyon, Vichy and the Puy de Dôme. Thoroughly recommend!

We had a great time at Catherine's place: the accommodation is impeccably clean, very pretty, functional and really very comfortable (especially the bedding!). The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we loved hearing the bell tower mark the hours. In terms of location, the accommodation is in the center of the beautiful and picturesque village of Vogüé. It is close to many other beautiful villages and all kinds of activities and visits to do that we were able to happily enjoy thanks to the valuable advice of Christophe, Catherine's husband, who welcomed us with great kindness and generosity. Thank you!

Friendly hosts beyond our expectations magical or even magical place, accessible for pmr or elderly people, and spotless if you have children, they can only feast in the castle garden or in the pool which is protected by a gate Vast apartment where everyone can find their privacy, very convenient and carefully decorated with a rustic modern mix wonderful stay everyone was delighted ( the Pal next door is the cherry on the cake ) thank you

Our family had a great stay at La Bretonnière. Staying in such a beautiful and well maintained historic castle is a unique experience. The apartment was very comfortable, and had everything we needed for an extended stay. The antique furniture and art added refinement and peace to the experience. We also very much enjoyed the beautiful garden. The hosts were very welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. This was a memorable stay, and we would love to go back!

It’s an absolute gem—more spacious than it looks in the pictures—and the castle grounds are fantastic. I came alone for some writing time and, unfortunately, relied on a misleading review. To help others avoid my mistake, here are three observations: 1. The kitchen is NOT fully equipped (as someone else claimed) but only offers the basics, as stated by the hosts. 2. If you have a bad back, the sofas won’t be comfortable for you. 3. While the castle is easily accessible by public transport, if you’re bringing groceries for a long weekend, be sure to take a taxi from Montreux unless you want to schlepp everything uphill (or better plan to arrive at Chatelard instead of Tavel). That said, everything else is marvelous. I even extended my stay because it was so beautiful.

We had a great time at this beautiful mansion, spacious, bright and warm. Its cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for hosting people or for a family stay. Despite a view of factories across the street, with continuous smoke and a little noise, we were fully satisfied with the standard offered. The interior design is a clever mix of old charm and modernity, which brings a lot of character to the place. We strongly recommend this mansion. It would certainly be even more pleasant in summer, especially to enjoy the pool. Again, thank you for this great experience!

This place is just wonderful. The location is great with lots of places to visit around the gite. The house is beautiful inside and out. the kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms very spacious and clean. Nice pool too. We were 5 couples and we had plenty of space. Marie Claude and Philippe are very friendly and always available if you have a question. You can't go wrong with this place.

We booked part of the castle for my partner's 30th birthday and I can just say that he will never forget this moment, in large part thanks to the beauty of the accommodation and the warm welcome from Yves Michel. I would highly recommend staying there for a night or a few days. The setting is beautiful and Yves Michel and his son are great hosts, flexible, available and warm. An accessible, secure place, close to the city center by tram, which is a 2-minute walk from the accommodation, closer to a convenient shopping center for everyday shopping.

We had a fantastic time with our big group. The chef Julie that our host recommended was spectacular and the area is full of nice things to do. There is a lot of space in the house, so everyone had the right amount of privacy.

We had a great time in this comfortable, spacious and very well-equipped accommodation. The setting is magical and the accommodation is well placed to visit Nimes and the surroundings. We appreciated the little touches from the owners.

Delighted stay in this place unlike any other. We loved our break at this fabulous castle, decorated with taste and authenticity. A visit to the castle was even offered to us by 2 of the reception team, who make it a point of honor to share the history of the castle and the desire of the teams to make the castle known to as many people as possible. A beautiful two bedroom apartment in a historical Villa surrounded by a French style garden which we absolutely loved! We were welcomed by Damien and felt right at home in the flat. We loved big windows, lots of light, and attention to detail that Damien demonstrated by decorating a Christmas tree for us and preparing a welcome gift - some candies. The bathroom in the main bedroom is spacious and beautifully designed. We especially loved the combination of traditional elements and modernity, such as electric stove that looked like a traditional 19th century one. A fireplace is another great feature. It makes you feel like being in a French chateau. All in all, a great stay in a great place with kind and welcoming host. We can highly recommend the flat and Damien!
