Highly recommend this little haven . Lovely and comfortable environment to relax in and escape for a few days. lots to see and do in the local area too. Pam and Hayden make you feel extremely welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. We will be returning again soon.

This was my second stay with Carol. she is a lovely lady, very interesting. Her home is very charming. Carol makes the best breakfasts , the shakshuka is a must. I really enjoy talking with Carol. she has led a very interesting life and knows so much about the world. I would heartily recommend this lovely accomadation.

Absolutely loved the warmth, love and hospitality of Sarah and Mark. Very friendly to speak to, and they were concerned about my well being overall. The house is in a lovely area, with restaurants around and is well connected with public transport. I was running the Cardiff half marathon and they were most gracious in asking about and preparing any pre-race (specific diet) meals, and did also research on how and what time to get to the race. Post race they were absolutely lovely too and made me feel like I was in my my own home. The breakfast prepared was a beautiful touch and reminded me of my childhood. I appreciate all the conversations we had and will remember both of you for the respect, love and care you showered me with. I will definitely visit again.

Quiet place and very private even though there were others there I didn't see anyone. Paul was helpful and flexible about my train delay and much later check in than I initially thought.

Wonderful barn room, in a lovely location. 10 mins from Barry and 25 mins into cardiff. Jill was a great host and very helpful with advice on getting into Cardiff for an event. Would love to return for a longer visit.

Tina & Dave have really adapted well to life under COVID. Obliviously it's a bit different to your usual experience of going away but they have done a terrific job to make it feel as safe as possible and ensure that your holiday isn't impacted too much. I'd certainly recommend.

Claire and Malcolm are lovely hosts. They were very welcoming and went above and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible, even going to the lengths of helping me get my motorbike clothing and boots dry over night. Other highlights included the apple cake in the room and the lovely breakfast. I tried the porridge with apple and the smashed avocado and poached eggs. Can highly recommend! I look forward to my next visit!

Fabulous breakfast, customised to suit each person. Very comfortable beds and lovely shower. Anne was very friendly and helpful. 10/10. Will be back!

Great stay, great breakfadt, spotlessly clean would definitely recommend

After a busy couple of weeks and having just hosted a party for 50 people we were looking for a peaceful retreat for some R&R to end our 20th anniversary celebrations. Tall Johns House did not disappoint. The Manor House is beautiful and the walled garden was a peaceful setting where we ended up falling asleep in the sunshine. The surrounding area is stunning with beautiful views of the Brecons. Archie welcomed us and was on hand to help us and help with any queries including recommendations for a meal that evening and a taxi home. He even ran us over to the pub to pick up our car the next day. No review would be complete without mentioning the fabulous breakfast. A real treat which set us up for the day. Thank you Elizabeth and Archie for a lovely stay, which was everything we were looking for - we were thoroughly relaxed and rested by the time we left!

We had a wonderful stay at Cwmbach Lodge. The room itself was beautiful - a huge comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and a perfect spot in front of the windows where you can enjoy the stunning view across the rolling hills. We took our dog with us who was made to feel very at home and especially loved the beautiful gardens we could explore in the morning. I would highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the area - Hay-on-Wye was only a short drive down the road and we were half an hour from the Brecon Beacons which made it a perfect spot for our weekend getaway. John and Clare were perfect hosts, from the welcome cuppa and cake, to the delicious breakfast in the morning, 5 stars from us!

Emily was a perfect host and the place was well-located and clean, and the breakfast was great. Everything was just as advertised and I would definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable and clean, nice quiet area as well. Shared bathroom but with my stay it was all my own. The owners are obviously early risers with a business to run, but that didn't disturb me unduly, and were more than helpful and accommodating. I would definitely go again.

We stayed here at The Pantry due to a Golden Wedding celebration very close by. The Pantry was such a fitting accommodation which made the whole weekend so enjoyable. Really well appointed bedroom and en-suite with welcome tea/coffee making facilities. Very comfortable bed and linens. Continental style breakfast was first rate and we were able to purchase a packed lunch for our journey home. I really can’t fault it and would recommend The Pantry to anyone. We were even able to fit in a lovely walk in the Welsh countryside and a trip to Hay-on-Wye during the celebratory weekend. John and Gail made us so welcome and were so helpful. Thank you!

Hasan was a wonderful host that made us feel welcomed! The hospitality that was shown to us was unlike any other places we have stay so far! It’s very likely that I will come back if I visit the UK. The location was easy to find, and easy to navigate.

Anita could not have been nicer. I stayed for 2weeks and felt like family by the time I left. The location was spectacular, pictures don’t do it justice. Anita is knowledgeable about all food and although vegan never made me feel uncomfortable with my meat eating ways.I feel in love with Leo the friendly dog. I could not have wished for a better stay and I now consider Anita a lifelong friend.

Great stay. Fab breakfast! The place has been renovated to a high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our night here.
