Beachfront holiday rental in Renfrew County

This cottage was the absolute perfect place to enjoy some down time as a family! The cottage was clean, well equipped and located on a beautiful, quiet beach. Everything we needed was provided and more! We enjoyed playing soccer on the large sandy beach, swimming, fishing, board games, campfires and watching movies in the evening. The kids and parents loved it!

We had the best fall weekend at Bongopix! We arrived after dark but the space heaters were already going so the cabin was nice and toasty when we got in. The cabin was exactly as described, was very cozy and filled with all sorts of fun nostalgia. Waking up and watching the mist on the river in the mornings was so nice and peaceful. The cabin is only a 5 minute drive from Algonquin and walking distance to restaurants which was so convenient. They also have a wide selection of movies and games and Bongo even brought us some specific SNES games we were looking for! We really loved our stay and are already planning on staying here again next fall!

We loved the place! from the moment we reached out to Talia till the moment we had to leave. The place is gorgeous, very species, right on the water, with fantastic view. we had everything that we needed! we'll definitely cime back again! Thank you Talia for being a great host.

Had a great time at this property. Even though we stayed at home due to snow we had great view. So many indoor games and fun things to do at the property. A perfect budget friendly weekend getaway. Would love to visit in the summers soon

This is a nice little spot for a cozy weekend in the Pontiac region. We really appreciated how well kitted-out it was (laundry, small kitchen appliances and lots of cooking supplies, lots of outlets, cozy lamps, TV...). The listing makes it clear that the house is located downtown , but I didn't realize it would be so commercial-feeling -- it's right on the main highway through the area (although it is not noisy at all), and there's a brightly-lit gas station right across the street. So it doesn't feel like a very private getaway, and it's not very picturesque. The backyard, however, backs onto the Coulonge River and I'm sure in nicer weather it'd be lovely to sit outside by a fire (we were there in the depths of winter). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay & recommend it if you don't mind the not-quite-scenic location. Inside it is feels like a lovely respite and there are nice places to explore nearby.

Chantyle's cottage was a great find for our family. While it was basic and nothing fancy but that is just what our family loves. We basically only need a spot to sleep and cook, other then that we are outside enjoying the nature we are surrounded by, and this spot was perfect The beach was perfect for swimming, crystal clear, and shallow so the kids could walk out for quite some distance. On top of the beautiful area and comfortable rustic cabin we were greeted by a very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful campground manager Phil and his wife Tanya. Helped us with things we needed right away and gave us suggestions on places to check out that our kids ended up loving....overall amazing experience thanks for having our family stay it was a great location and great place. friendly seasonal campers as well. our family will definitely be back ?

The cottage location is so peaceful and beautiful. I felt like I was in a treehouse looking over the river and up at the tops of the trees. And the chairs on the sandy beach were fabulous.

Our stay at the cabin on Golden Lake was absolutely perfect! As always, we were warmly greeted by Cindy, whose friendly smile and attentive care make every visit feel extra special. The cabin was already warm upon arrival, and its cozy ambiance welcomed us for a relaxing weekend getaway. We were delighted to find delicious Lindor chocolates waiting for us—a sweet and thoughtful touch! The log cabin itself is absolutely charming, with its 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the cabin was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The terrace offers stunning views of Golden Lake, where you can enjoy ice fishing or skating right outside your door. Plus, we discovered an incredible skating trail in the nearby woods—an absolute must-try for outdoor enthusiasts. We can’t wait to come back again. Our family had a wonderful stay. The stunning views are even better than the pictures. The kids loved both the outdoor and indoor activities, with canoeing and local attractions being the highlights for us. Hosts Cindy and Mike were extremely helpful, offering excellent recommendations and exceeding our expectations. The place had a welcoming vibe. Highly recommended—a hidden gem.

Desmond and Cindy were amazing from the very first email to our checkout! We had booked the yellow canoe and was is a very cute cottage. We had trouble with the toilet and the plumber couldn’t fix it right away so they kindly let us have the Eagles Nest for the last day no extra charge. Wow what a beautiful cottage!!

This is the cutest little cottage on the beautiful Golden Lake! My boyfriend and i took the provided snowshoes into Algonquin park for some exploring and then warmed up by the fireplace. Cindy and her crew were always very helpful and responsive. We’ll definitely be back again!

We had the most amazing time at Lorne & Lauren’s dome! Not only is the space beautiful and spotless but they have thought of everything their guests would need for an amazing stay. We especially enjoyed the Sauna. I also wanted to highlight how peaceful it was on their property. Being from the city it was the most amazing experience to be away from all the noise! They also went above and beyond helping us out with some car trouble and we couldn’t be more grateful for their assistance and hospitality. We cannot wait to come back!

We can’t get enough of this cottage, it never disappoints! We recently spent a winter weekend at this cozy cottage in Killaloe, Ontario, and it was an absolute delight. The snow-covered landscape created a picturesque setting, making it the perfect winter retreat. The cottage was warm and inviting, equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly accommodating, and ensured we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a serene winter getaway with beautiful scenery and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend this cottage.

Nancy's place was absolutely wonderful for our little fall vacation! the views were stunning. The big windows in the living room and bedroom were amazing for looking out over the water to the beautiful fall colours. We did the hike at Deacon's and it was gorgeous too. Thank you for the recommendation! The beach is lovely - I put my feet in. I think it would be great for a swim in the summer! Nancy was very quick to respond and helped us with anything we needed. thanks again for an amazing weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lorie's cottage! The cottage was incredibly clean and well-stocked with everything we needed and more. Despite the first two days being cold and rainy, we had a fantastic time indoors, spending quality time with our kids playing board games and doing puzzles. Once the weather improved, we took full advantage of the lake. The water was warm and perfect for swimming, and we loved having access to kayaks, a pedal boat, and paddle boards. It's the ideal place for a peaceful escape, and we would highly recommend Lorie's cottage to anyone looking for a quiet retreat.

Jennifer’s place was great! Beautiful location, private island all to ourselves. Boating over was easy peasy. We spent lots of time on the deck at the water and there are so many places to sit and relax both inside and out. We had a bonfire one night and played games the other nights. Overall a great experience. 😍

Our first AirBNB experience and definitely won’t be our last! We stayed here over the weekend for my husbands birthday and visited Algonquin Park. The space was spotless and had more amenities than expected! Kim was even able to provide a Pack N Play which made our stay 1000x easier with two littles in tow. The park down the street was great too (90’s/2000’s playground equipment… pretty sure my husband and I enjoyed it more than the kids)! The best part was definitely that view! I don’t think we’ll ever stay in a hotel again after this experience. We’ve already gone on Realtor to checkout available properties nearby lol. Definitely recommend!

I would come back here with friends and family for a getaway or special celebration any day! They know what you want to have fun and relax, and the set up makes it easy to slip right into vaycay mode - with a view to boot! But that sandy walk out to the river with the bright view from inside - beautiful. Thank you!

Amazing stay with gorgeous view of the lake during the winter. The cottage had everything you can think of and really made our experience stress free.
