Sooty Babe was perfect for our 4 day visit to the north east. Easy to find, immaculately clean, with everything we needed. Nearby shops and a beach within walking distance.

Comfy and homely cottage and very well equipped. Carol was very friendly and knowledgeable and met us with home baked cakes which were delicious. We had a lovely time and felt very much at home. Can also recommend the Community Tea Room right opposite the cottage and the Badger Hounds pub just down the road. Highly recommended cottage and host.

This is a real gem of a place situated in the most beautiful surroundings . Fantastic walking straight from your door, bird song galore and so much more . Trish is a wonderful host , very welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble . We were greeted with delicious homemade cake , fresh flowers and a basket of treats . I would highly recommend Trish's beautiful home and really hope to be back again one day so much more to explore . Thank you Trish for a wonderful time . Emma

Beautiful little seaside village, the house is full of character, comfortable and clean with everything you need. Communication with Emma was spot on throughout. The whole experience is definitely fully worthy of my 5 star review. Thank you Emma, we will be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful house which is located close to the town centre. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was impeccably clean and warm, with a cozy atmosphere. We especially loved how the personal touches throughout the house added so much character and charm—everything from the stained glass windows to the thoughtfully placed items gave the space a beautiful feel. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind. We would most definitely return and highly recommend this lovely home to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to Kendra and Tamara for being such wonderful hosts. The care that goes into maintaining such a gorgeous property is very evident.

I recently visited Whitby for the first time and absolutely loved it! Staying at Hillside View made the experience even better. The place was beautiful and impeccably clean, which made us feel right at home. The decor was charming and the views were simply stunning. Hillside View truly added a special touch to our trip, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning.

WOW - what a beautiful home!!! An absolute gem * For context - it was myself, my partner, two boys (4 and 2 years old) & our cavapoo. There was ample space for us all regarding bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge space. The home was tastefully decorated in keeping with the local beach aswell as spotlessly clean. NOTHING was too much for our hosts who were simply magnificent given the fact this is a relatively new venture for them. You would think this operation has been running for years based on the quality and efficiency of everything from booking and recommendations. The beach is quite literally a stones throw away and we made a beeline for this every morning after breakfast. Great start to the day! We had a 60 minute drive to Whitby with the family which was thoroughly enjoyable for some stunning Fish & Chips and crabbing for the boys to partake in. Some spectacular views driving down the coast past Redcarr and Saltburn. We would definitely come back again! BOOK BOOK BOOK IT!

We had a great stay, in a clean, spacious, up to date caravan, was very quiet, as the caravan site isn't open till the middle of March. That was not a problem we made our own entertainment with the cards and games provided, I would stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends. we have used Air BnB several times and have never had a bad encounter, Lisa kept me updated and was prompt in replying to messages I sent. Thank you from my family and myself.

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

David place was amazing, superb views of the coastline and very quiet being at the end of the row. We would definitely return here.

We stayed at the Lodge for 4 weeks due to a delayed house completion. The location is amazing in every respect. The lodge is more spacious than the pictures suggest - walk in wardrobes amazing for our extended stay. Well equipped, very efficient heating and hot water Long local beach walks with the cafe (great ice cream), literally 15m away. We did not use the entertainment complex but it always looked busy Thoroughly recommended

Fabulous old farm buildings set inBeautiful picturesque setting, looking out on the Moores and farmland. There were cows when we looked out of the window and chickens clucking around the yard. But really private as well. There are walks from the cottage across the farmland, when the weather is nice and the log burner stove making it really warm and cosy in the evening when it feels a bit chilly. The cottage had everything that you need for your stay, and was immaculate. The main bedroom has a traditional bed frame, which we thought may be a bit creaky, we needn’t have worried- the bed was very sturdy, comfortable and didn’t squeak at all. Really handy having a sink in the bedroom too. Loved all the farm implements that were around. Loved the oil lamps converted to electricity. Would love to know more about the farm’s history. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a fantastic time at Janes place. It was perfect for us, a real home from home. You can feel the history in there it's modern enough but enough of the old remains rto feel like youve gone back to a better time. Everything you need is there and easy to find. I even managed to park a VW transporter (only just mind) into the parking space. So I reckon ya average Chelsea tractor would fit if your a good enough driver. We had such a lovely time were considering going back again this year for longer this time. If your a dust on top of the pictures person for cleanliness, 5 star luxury person maybe not for you. But we absolutely loved it❤️❤️❤️

We have had a wonderful break as such a lovely and relaxing place to feel at home as soon as we stepped in! There was lots of space for 6 adults and 2 dogs who loved running in the field! Managed to see an Owl and 2 flying swans! We noted seeing all the deer too!

I loved staying here! Perfect bolt hole for the solo traveller, close to pubs, shop and fish n chips. Cleveland Way and Runswick Bay very walkable. Nice and private, well equipped for a short stay. Ray was very helpful about the area. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home with everything you need and spotless. Instructions from John were very clear and he was extremely helpful when we were booking, especially the restaurant recommendations which we followed and we were not disappointed (Cookfellas restaurant and Brickyard Bakery). Great stay wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We stayed here for a few days and it was really good. Great accommodation and beautifully presented. Fab location in a busy town with lots of pubs and eating places. Fantastic for walking on the nearby North Yorkshire Moors. We will definitely visit again in the future.

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at Pete’s cabin. It was lovely and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing. Pete was always on hand to help re heat the hot tub. The fresh eggs from the hens were a great addition and were very tasty! Overall it was an amazing stay and would highly recommend Pete’s cabin to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful get away!

Our first stay was brilliant! We have spent many years coming to the East Coast but this was our first stay in Runswick Bay. The location is perfect- close to the bay and the food at the Runswick Bay hotel at the end of the lane was delicious. The house itself is incredibly cosy with the 2 log burners and had everything we needed. A really enjoyable stay, I’m sure we’ll be back!
