Nice place, great location and comfortable. We stayed for a week and everything went very well. Scot was very friendly, I highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay in this unique place in a former colliary town. With the mural fully covering facade of the house to many interior wall murals and driftwood lamps. The place had charming and unique character and worth a stay just for that. The accomodation was comfortable and cosy and perfect for the 4 of us and two dogs. Long walks along the beaches and cliff tops are very close by.

Really easy to find. Really comfortable. Great host. All that we needed for a great break. Durham 10 minutes away.

Lovely cosy cottage, wood burner was on when we arrived which was really welcoming. Carol and John were great hosts and were very friendly, even asking us if we would like to feed the pet lambs, which we did, what a treat! Comfy beds, we had a really quiet and restful nights sleep. The kitchen contained everything we needed for us to cater for ourselves. We had a great stay.

Had a wonderful stay with family in this fantastic house. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Whitby. We had a couple of queries and Richard was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely return.

A comfortable house, with everything working as it should. Very convenient for all central Durham locations if you have a car.

We had an amazing family break. The morning walks along the beach were a great start to the day. We didn’t use any of the on site amenities as it was off season but were not disappointed with the local amenities less than a 10 minute drive away. We hope to return later in the year.

We had a great stay, in a clean, spacious, up to date caravan, was very quiet, as the caravan site isn't open till the middle of March. That was not a problem we made our own entertainment with the cards and games provided, I would stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends. we have used Air BnB several times and have never had a bad encounter, Lisa kept me updated and was prompt in replying to messages I sent. Thank you from my family and myself.

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

It was perfect just what we needed

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

Fabulous old farm buildings set inBeautiful picturesque setting, looking out on the Moores and farmland. There were cows when we looked out of the window and chickens clucking around the yard. But really private as well. There are walks from the cottage across the farmland, when the weather is nice and the log burner stove making it really warm and cosy in the evening when it feels a bit chilly. The cottage had everything that you need for your stay, and was immaculate. The main bedroom has a traditional bed frame, which we thought may be a bit creaky, we needn’t have worried- the bed was very sturdy, comfortable and didn’t squeak at all. Really handy having a sink in the bedroom too. Loved all the farm implements that were around. Loved the oil lamps converted to electricity. Would love to know more about the farm’s history. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Had a lovely couple of days with my daughter and grandchildren. Cottage was cosy and safe for the children complete with baby gate and travel cot. Great location and on site swimming pool was a bonus. Can imagine the play area and picnic area are perfect in the warmer months.

Kit was so friendly and helpful. Her place was really lovely, so cosy and beautifully decorated. Stowaway is so well equipped too. Furniture was comfy and we loved the bed! We had fantastic nights sleep and the area is so quiet and peaceful. Runswick Bay is a lovely place to stay, particularly out of season when it’s not so busy. Thank you Kit, this was the perfect getaway for us.

Our Christmas stay was curtailed by family circumstances and Victoria could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Quick to respond to all our messages! Thank you Victoria!

Lovely accommodation in Hinderwell. Ray is really friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable.

Beautiful home with everything you need and spotless. Instructions from John were very clear and he was extremely helpful when we were booking, especially the restaurant recommendations which we followed and we were not disappointed (Cookfellas restaurant and Brickyard Bakery). Great stay wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

This was the second time we have stayed at this lovely house. It is in a very convenient location being less than ten minutes walk from the centre of Whitby. The house is lovely being extremely comfortable. It is also equipped to a very high standard. An added bonus was that we could bring our dogs with us. They loved the house!

Michelle’s place was exactly as described. A lovely cosy place perfect for our 1 night stay when visiting relatives nearby. We didn’t make use of all the facilities but the kitchen looked well equipped and very clean.

Right in the centre of town, but tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. Didn't use local restaurants, although there are plenty to choose from. Self-catering was very easy - kitchen facilities were good, with a nice range of shops close by.

Max’s Hideaway was a fantastic place to stay; we visit Whitby every year and it was great to explore this side of the town - Skinner Street was really excellent. The accommodation was exactly what we needed, with Val going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our 2 month old and our dog! Val gave us plenty of local recommendations and was easily contactable. The home also has a really great parking space which is something we have previously struggled with when staying in Whitby. The home had everything we needed and more; with treats for the dog and wine and biscuits for us, to name just a few. I would definitely hope to stay here again in the future.
