Holiday houses in Rayleigh

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at Helen's flat. Helen was very helpful with clear and concise instructions of how to check-in. Comfy bed and a wonderful shower. We didn't use the kitchen as we ate out both nights but it looked to be well equipped. The only downside was we had to park a fair distance away but that is not the hosts fault, it was just very busy. Would definitely consider staying at this accommodation again on our next visit to lovely Whitstable.

Perfect place to stay, close to plenty of places to shop, eat, drink and walk. Beautiful little lodge and perfect location just a stones throw from the seafront and a couple of pubs. Onsite private parking is always a positive, instructions were easy to follow. 10/10

Stayed in this lovely loft for a few days on a trip to Southend. Felt very homely and had everything we could have needed. Great that the tv was all set up with the apps and easy to watch all the streaming services, and games and books available if we fancied a night in. Cupboard was stocked with essentials for cooking and the coffee and biscuits were a nice touch. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The property is perfectly placed for the quayside where the wonderful Thames Sailing Barges are tied up. A place to park the car is a considerable advantage. Michele is an exceptional and very likeable host. She was helpful, kind and perceptive. She realised we were elderly, not in perfect health and might have various problems. She anticipated them and provided solutions in advance! We felt fortunate to stay in her lovely property.

Cuckoo Down Cottage is a Tardis – the interior being so much more spacious and comfortable than the exterior photos suggest. The fully enclosed garden was an asset giving our dog early morning freedom. Later in the day, the sheltered outdoor seating was a bonus in the warm, early April sunshine. A labyrinth of local alleyways and narrow streets were very interesting to explore on dog walks too. The town centre, seafront, pubs, railway station, Coop and coffee shops are all within easy walking distance meaning we (I mean my wife) could park and leave our car in the off road space provided. Oh, and the informative House Manual was the best quality that I've encountered in my Airbnb travels.

We chose Kristy's home for a weekend stay as it was a 1 min walk from our family's home. We know Whitstable well, but with children we've sadly outgrown staying with our famiy when we visit - hence this rental. Though we didn't spend much time in the house, everything we needed was there, the house was modern and clean. We slept very soundly at night. The hot water bottles were a welcome touch for our cold toes at the end of the day when it was nippy. On our second day, we noticed that the fridge wasn't working but with the ice packs from the freezer, made due for a few breakfast bits we kept in the fridge. Kristy promptly apologized for the inconvenience. That is an easy fix so we'll definitely stay again!

We always have an amazing time staying here. The lodge is high quality with stunning sea views. Marc and Sarah have truly thought of everything – the lodge was fully stocked with all the essentials and even included lovely personal touches like fresh flowers and crème eggs on arrival! The hot tub overlooking the sea is a highlight, and it was great knowing the kids have a safe place to hang out in the wider holiday park. We would absolutely love to come back again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The place was beautiful—clean, cozy, and with a stunning view that we never got tired of. It had such a peaceful, relaxing vibe that made it the perfect escape. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some tranquility!

This was the first time my wife, I and our 3 dogs have used Airbnb. The cottage was fantastic and you could not get a better location for dog walking and great pub restaurant's. Our host was fantastic and very helpful. We wouldn't hesitate in returning. Dan & Trish
